You're right - you'll have to miss at least one set of Off Kilter to hear the bands during F&W Festival. Off Kilter does start earlier during holiday time so that their shows don't interfere with the Candlelight Processional.

All of the boys were there. Hopefully I am going to go again this afternoon. (That would depend on IF the bell services ever come to get my luggage. It was 5 mintues half an hour ago... guess I better go CALL!)

I forgot to post that I saw the boys 3 shows this past weekend. Saturday for the 1st show - Mark wasn't there. We then had to leave the park since we were running in the Expedition Everest Challenge later that evening. Then we went for the last 2 shows on Sunday - Randy wasn't there. Oh well - I of course thought they sounded better on Sunday - and they song more songs that I like (since Mark sings those) All and all it was a good time!!

Tricia - do you remember who filled in for Mark and Randy? Was it Billy Varnes? Mark was in Ireland when I was there in April, and Billy did a great job of learning some new songs VERY quickly that I requested!

They played it at one set I saw this week. Not sure which set! But I am thinking yesterday.

Video at 11.... the OK swimsuit competetion!

And Tammie... tell Tony that if that stuff they are serving at the San Juan booth at the Food & Wine Festival is REALLY what they eat in Puerto Rico we know why he came to the mainland! (Hint, skip the MoFongo)

They didn't play "Queen of Argyle" the weekend Barb and I were there, and I even requested it. I think Scott was having trouble with some songs because he injured his hand, so I'm glad they're playing it again.

I used to think the group couldn't perform without Jamie. Then I was there one time when Jason played the fiddle in place of Jamie's bagpipes. Had I not known that someone usually played bagpipes - I never would've missed them - because Jason was so good.

Nancy,

I somehow doubt Pam is going to change. I doubt Disney is that dumb.... She is what she is and they know what they have there. They know it's not going to change. (Heck right now she gets away with less "performing" then anyone else in the parks and they have been fine with that for years. She's a nice lady, but the 'volume' of songs being output is not really on par with what you got with Leon for example)

I don't see her changing, either. She is well-loved, and many folks go to the Pub just to see her and talk to her.

Their normal schedule is Wed through Sun, 2:30, 3:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30. The only effect that the F&W has on them is that Randy is playing at the Party for the Senses on Saturdays so there will be a sub (probably Mark McDowell) filling in for him.

I love off Kilter, I have ALL of their CD's and I see them multiple times a trip. I actually know the guys pretty well. I've been a fan forever and they've watched me grow up, I've been going to DISNEY since I was 7 and now im 23 so it's been a long adventure. My cousin and my sister used to hang out with the boys when they (cousin and sister) both worked at WDW. THey are a great bunch of guys and super talented! When ever they see me in the crowd if I show up with out telling them I get plenty of crazy faces and occasionally they will announce that I'm there and be like everyone its our crazy friend from WIS. say hi!!!! (it's embarassing!)

Hi everyone!

Sorry I didn't post when I got back from Disney. Just been SWAMPED!

I did go back and see the boys on the Sunday after I saw Tammy. I did the Race for the Taste that morning (after Party for the Senses the nght before) so I only made a couple of shows. I was exhausted!

I did get a NEW song (at least for me) Now don't ask me the name, it was one of fhose add a bunch of things together songs they like to do. (and it's been over a week now) The only part I remember was "lying in bed like Brian Wilson!

Not sure when I will get back. I will probably try to put a quick trip to MCO on the schedule for early December to see my Dad. I will be there in January for the Half Marathon too.

I'll probably be there. Just look for the tall brunette dancing under the tree. That would be me. :cool1:

We saw the first two shows on the 15th and they were awesome! Sorry I missed you Carlyle - there was a brunette lady sitting under the tree before the first show. My family and I kept saying "do you think that's her?" "That's gotta be her." :lmao: So I got brave and asked the lady if she was from the DIS! She was very nice but as you know, it wasn't you! :rotfl:

Here are our pics from the shows!

Forgive me if the answer to this question is somewhere, but I was wondering is there any reason that Off Kilter might NOT be performing at Epcot in January 2009 (specifically the first week)? My mom loves them and is already asking me what time their performances are during our upcoming trip. On one of our previous trips (different time of year) they were on a break or something and not performing at all while we were there. She was very upset. :-) So if anyone knows whether or not they'll be playing Jan. 2-9, please let me know! Thanks!!

Lately they have been performing Wednesdays-Sundays, with Mondays and Tuesdays off. Check the WDW entertainment schedule here every Sunday: http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/index.htm (click on "Epcot" and then "Canada.") Rather than the whole band being gone at once, the guys tend to stagger their vacations. I like it best when all 5 are there, but I'll gladly take a sub or two rather than NO band playing!

Not sure it's going to come off. Put a frequent flyer ticket on hold, got a GREAT rate at the Dolphin ($159, could have had $149 but it was prepay with no refund... risk not worth $10)

Ooh, yay! I have no idea how I've missed this thread all this time! LOVE Off Kilter, have loved them since I first saw the tail end of one of their shows back in Nov. 2001. Wow - no posts on this thread for over a month! I returned from WDW last night, and I enjoyed seeing 6 guys in kilts on the 28th: 3 regulars (Randy, Tony and Scott) plus Mike on fiddle, Billy Varnes on guitar, and David Horvath on bass! :) That was a great day - in spite of Jamie's and Mark's absence. On the 31st all 5 were back, and David filled in again for Mark on Feb. 1.

WDW had to do something different in Morocco, because the crowds that gathered to hear the band and see the belly dancer often blocked the walkway.

WDW has also given Off Kilter a few more benches for the audience. Now we just have to convince the guys to stay there for 20 more years! :teeth:

Does anyone know where I can find out Off Kilter's schedule for next week? I know Steve Soares updates his page every Sunday, but by next Sunday morning I'll be in Florida with no computer access! We're going for Sunday through Tuesday, but one of the days is a beach day, not a Disney day. If Off Kilter is playing on Sunday, then the Disney days will be Sunday and Monday. If they're not playing at all, Disney will be Monday and Tuesday. Yes, I'm actually letting Off Kilter determine my vacation schedule! :rotfl:

Off Kilter determines a LOT of vacation schedules! :teeth: One can hope they'll play next Sunday, but it's almost certain they WON'T play on Monday or Tuesday. I would plan on WDW for Sunday and Monday and hope for the best.

I agree with Nancy --- it's pretty likely they will NOT play on Monday or Tuesday. And since they just did a Sunday rehearsal day last week, I would assume they would not do another one next week. Unfortunately, none of it is written in stone.
