Gosh I hope so. I don't think I could 13 letters myself. :rotfl:
Well, maybe I could if I only have to make them twice. :rotfl:

Not having children, I think my main concern is that there are many topics in this one that I could not use. When is the due date?

KatDisney
03-10-2007, 05:44 PM
April 20th was the due date. Should I convert to a disney related theme then? I mean I really don't care I really enjoy doing the abc's myself. They make great gifts.

Ditto on the no kids/topic problems. Plus, I am having to limit my swaps until June/Julyish so I am only signing up for swaps that I don't have yet (mainly WDW non-MK swaps) and can use in my current scrapping project. If it was in the latter part of the year I could sign up "just because." :goodvibes

I don't have children either. I could go for a set if they aren't child specific.

I agree with Hope's and Rebecca's posts.......If they were non-child related, then non-Disney would be fine. Also, later in the year for a larger swap like this would be better for me, or even later in the spring. March and April are really busy right now.

Okay, we can't do a Disney ABC because there is one coming up in May.
What about we assign each letter a color. Not every letter corresponds to a color name, but we can come close. Then it won't matter if it is for child, cat, or old coot. :rotfl:

Ugh, ugh! Can't think of any! But, I sure had fun naming my colors and ABC's tonight! Ha!!

Oh I like the color idea then it can be used for anything!

YodasMom

What can we do for the topper. The only thing I can think of is using our own alphabet dies when we get them back.

If we go with a color theme I think we will have to use our own words when we get them back. Just a big first letter on the topper and the rest left for each of us to fill in on our own. I don't think I would want the topper to say the color.

AlexWyattMommy
03-11-2007, 09:29 AM
So, if we have one person cutting out the letters of the alphabet, then all we really have to do is make a beautiful blank topper. So how about we all agree it needs to have three sheets of paper and Kat gives us the dimensions for them?

KatDisney
03-12-2007, 06:16 PM
I think for this swap I will wait until more can participate. Maybe late spring and do the colors. is that ok with everyone?

rlovew
03-12-2007, 06:19 PM
Fine with me. It is not one that will work without more participation.

AlexWyattMommy

Yes, we would need more people.
I'm okay with waiting until a little later and I really like the color theme.

I would be interested in joining with a color theme. That way you could adapt the pieces to what you need them for. Count me in!

Okay just a side comment... why can I picture someone carrying a heinz bottle into the scrap store to match ketchup color LOL :rotfl: :rotfl: As if swaps do make people crazy enough already!

And if we pick artichoke, will someone make their elements green on top and purple at the bottom?

KatDisney

Now that would be awesome! I am loving this color idea more and more. I just have to find a date that will work with everyone now.

We could do a color swap that doesn't have an ABC theme and not need quite as many people. Just do page kits in the colors we choose and have them for whatever kind of album people wanted.

I checked the calendar and there doesn't seem to be a color swap on there yet. There isn't much due in June, so how about Kat figures out a good sign up time for her with a due date in June for us.

I could be in for a color swap either with ABCs or without. I'd love to have some blank pieces ready to go for those quick pages.

A colour swap without ABCs would work for me - I'm not sure how I'd use a whole alphabet, but you know I need swapaholics anonymous;)

OK, so here is the plan. I am going to post a sign up Thread with the Due Date of June 15th. This will give everyone lots of time to work on this. I'm done with all my swaps so I have nothing more to occupy my time..lol... I am going to do groups of 6. I personally like smaller groups it just makes it so much easier.

MazdaUK
03-18-2007, 06:12 AM
I like groups of 6 too - 8 often means you need an extra sheet of paper or packet of something;) and of course it means you can do 2 groups much easier:rotfl:

All my swaps are finished too so I'm just spending money :guilty: - can't scrap today as the dining table is needed for mothers day lunch.
