Any DISers heading to the Bahamas on the Wonder July 22-26? We've always had the good fortune to "meet" really wonderful people on the DIS boards before our DCL cruises. Hoping our good fortune will hold and we'll have a lively thread for the next 4.5 months! :goodvibes

Here's the list of DISers sailing on this cruise, as promised!

Yea! I finally found somebody on the same cruise! This will be our first cruise ever. It will be me, DH and 4 boys- ages 15, 12, 11 and 8. We will also be cruising with our friends and their 2 kids- a 17 y.o. girl and 12 y.o. boy!

YAY!! I am so glad you posted! Have you done any DCL cruises before? The kids are absolutely going to love it! Are you doing a land portion of your trip, too? We are spending two nights at Port Orleans French Quarter before the trip, but we are flying right home afterwards.
Isn't the planning fun? Hard to believe that in about a month, we can start making Palo and spa reservations! Did you request early dining?

oklamomof4boys
03-22-2007, 08:03 PM
This is our first cruise of any kind. We have been dreaming of a Disney Cruise for years ( and saving for it also). The kids are so excited and have loved helping with all the planning. We are going to be in Orlando for a week before the cruise but I don't think we are going to WDW. We usually go to Disneyland every year and it feels like home to us. Somehow going to WDW would feel like "cheating"-lol! Actually it's more because it is so expensive- so we are going to do Universal and some other stuff.

We are so excited- just about every day my youngest asks how much longer until the cruise. Yes, we requested early dinner. I think my oldest ( a 6' football player) is most excited about the food! My youngest has a heart disease, so I cook pretty healthy. They rarely get all that rich and fried food!

keenercam
03-23-2007, 10:09 AM
Oh, wow! Your oldest is really going to LOVE the abundance of food. I am sorry your youngest has a heart condition. The great thing about a cruise is that you can be as busy or relaxed as you want!
We've done the 7 day Magic 3x -- Eastern with our kids; Western with a bunch of adults and no kids; then the Western with our kids and our best friends and their kids. Every single trip was awesome! This one is with our DD18 only. DS14 will be away at camp for 3 weeks. We'll be celebrating the completion of DD's first year of college and DH's first year of his MBA program. We'll all need a vacation desperately by then!
It's funny what you said about DL. We felt the same way when we travelled to DL in September for the first time. We've been to WDW so many times and felt like we were "cheating" going to DL, but it was also very sentimental to see "Walt's park". I don't know how to say this without hurting your feelings, but I really hope you might find a way to spend just ONE DAY even at WDW. The Magic Kingdom is just something everyone should experience once. If you find that you might be considering going and want any help coming up with a manageable list of "must-do's" I'd LOVE to help. :goodvibes:

We are really looking forward to maximizing our time on the Wonder and may not even get off the ship in Nassau. DD and I may do spa and fitness center stuff that day and spend a lot of time by the pool. It is the first time she is old enough to do the adult stuff on a cruise, so I want her to have the opportunity to do whatever strikes her fancy.

Hi everyone. We just booked!! We just did the eastern for spring break a few weeks ago with my five boys and loved it. My husband and I were looking to go on a 4 night cruise without kids for my 40th bday and had booked a rcl one. After reading the not so great reviews we decided that nothing could live up to disney. Now we booked this one without kids. We are doing the 7 night eastern again next march with the boys, however, I am excited and quilty at the same time. I loved meeting dis friends on my last cruise.:yay:

04-22-2007, 12:54 PM
Yay, pop5!! So glad you are celebrating your 40th on the Wonder! So glad your boys loved the Eastern and you have that to look forward to again next year!
We did the Eastern in 2001 with our kids, went back a year later for the 7 day Western with all adults we'd met in 2001 and had a great time. Then, in 2004, we did the Western with our kids. I just can't imagine sailing anyone other than DCL right now. We are very excited to have this trip to look forward to with DD who will be almost 19 by then.

Thanks keeenercam. It was after I had booked the sovereign of the seas for this same week and I started to do my usual research that I started to get a little scared. I kept reading reviews that talked about a urine smell in the cabins and many said what bad service and food they had. I told my husband about it and he said that we just couldnt beat disney. That was all I needed to hear to cancel asap and book the wonder. I am sure that in a couple of weeks I will have added the kids and our whole romantic getaway will be another crazy vacation. Ill take a crazy kid vacation on disney anyday over a urine smell for 5 days without kids.:rotfl2:

pop5 -- I DEFINITELY think you will LOVE doing this trip as an adults-only outing. We had a great time going to the late evening comedian shows, then going to the nightclub to dance and then walking on deck, looking at the stars. Very, very romantic! Especially since you have next year booked with the boys. Go and enjoy this trip.

Speaking of which -- did you guys make your spa and palo's reservations yet? If your cruise is paid in full and you are a castaway club member, you can book today (90 days out, can you believe it!). Just wanted to remind you.

I am one of those crazy compulsive planners that you read about and fear. I actually set my alarm and got up at 2:36 pm (yes, it took 6 minutes for the alarm to get through my fuzzy brain), signed onto the disney cruise line website and made ressies for Palo's brunch for DH, DD and me; Palo's dinner for DH and me; and some spa stuff. We can cancel up until 2 days before sailing so I figured I'd make the ressies now and then may cancel some of the spa stuff but didn't want to miss out on Palo's brunch and dinner.

pop5 -- not sure if you've read about the romantic couples stuff at the spa but DH and I have done the exotic rasul (then called surial mud bath) and the couples massage on previous cruises and really enjoyed both.

pop5
04-23-2007, 08:34 PM
Keenercam, I think you must be my long lost twin!! I also set my alarm and made all my reservations.:lmao: I did the brunch, dinner, and spa too. We did the couple massage last march and loved it. I rebooked it. Well, I figured the " no kids" wouldnt last long. It is no longer a romantic trip!:rotfl: Where are you from? I am from bham, alabama.

pop5 -- my name is Cam and I am from NJ originally, off to PA for college, back to NJ for a few years and have been in Delaware for 18 years.

I can't believe you relented and are bringing 5 CHILDREN on your romantic cruise! FUN!!! How old are they? Our DS14 will be away at performing arts camp for 3 weeks so we are only taking DDalmost19.

I was soooo relieved to get Palo's brunch since there is only one at-sea day. The last time we did it was as we were sailing in to Key West on our first DCL western cruise. It was awesome!

pop5
04-24-2007, 04:09 PM
Hi Cam, my name is Paige. Actually, I am not taking all five boys. They all just got back from the magic a few weeks ago and all are doing magic again next march. Soooo, we just decided to take our 6 year old who has a bday a few days before cruise. None of them know about it yet, including him. The others all have football and golf and wouldnt miss their sports even for a cruise. I am the disney obsessed one in my house. What are you planning on doing in Nassau ?? I am thinking about staying on ship mostly that day, however, I would like to see Anna Nicoles house. I know thats pathetic but I am a news junkie. Paige

Cam , one more question.... just curious what time your sea day brunch is?? mine is at noon.

keenercam
04-24-2007, 04:20 PM
Hi, Paige! I am so glad you responded!
What a great surprise for your 6 yr old! I hope he loves the kids club and you still get lots of couple time with your DH!
We aren't doing anything in Nassau. Actually plan on just staying on the ship all day. I like to get up real early and I want to go running on deck and then pick up some fruit and some coffee at the buffet. We have a couples massage at 9:15 and the exotic rasul at 11. Then I plan to lie around in the sun all afternoon. We are going to the DVC members celebration at 4. Then our Palo's dinner is at 6. So, I think we'll just enjoy the ship all day and avoid the crowds in Nassau.

Our Palo's brunch is at 10:30 and Jenn is going with us to that-- I figured she'd love the crab legs and omelette station. I wanted time that morning to run and to get fruit and coffee, then a relaxing shower before getting a real meal. I also wanted to do the galley tour at 2:45 and figured that going to Palo's early still allows a couple hours at the quiet cove pool in between. :yay:

See what a pathetic, compulsive planner I am? :rotfl:

04-30-2007, 10:57 AM
Hi, Paige! Can you believe that there aren't more WISHers here? I feel like our cruise isn't going to be very crowded at all, though I know that is impossible in July. Maybe there will be very few DISers and the cruisers won't know a lot of the secrets that DISers learn on these boards.
Oh, that reminds me -- I have to call Shirly at The Perfect Gift, though I can't go into any detail here because DD and DH may read this thread at some point! ;)
I am going to Disney this weekend for the Minnie Marathon Weekend. I and 6 girlfriends who met on the DIS WISH boards are staying at OKW and doing the 15k on Sunday. We'll all arrive on Friday and we have a schedule jam-packed with fun activities and meals. Once I get back next week, I'll really be obsessing about the cruise, especially to get over the post-race letdown. :sad1:
Are you arriving just in time for the cruise? Or are you getting to Orlando early? We are flying in Friday night and staying at POFQ 2 nights. We have reservations for Chef Mickey's for Saturday brunch and Boatwright's for Saturday dinner, a carriage ride at POR and then we're taking Jenn to Pleasure Island. Should be a lot of fun packed in even before we board the Wonder! :)

04-30-2007, 11:55 AM
Hey Cam, Sounds like a great trip you have planned!! We are actually just flying out the day of cruise this time. We are going to wdw the first of July with all the boys. I used Shirley this past March and was happy. We might just have alot of people who dont use these boards on our cruise. I cant imagine it not being to full capacity. Either way , we will have a great time. We are cat. 9 deck 2 . What about you?? Paige

keenercam
05-01-2007, 12:05 PM
We are also deck 2, but cat. 10. I like the lower decks for not getting as seasick, but we plan to only sleep in our cabin so we didn't mind going with inside cabin for this cruise.

Hey all! I haven't been able to read/post for a while. My youngest is having some health issues and I've been pretty stressed about it. We considered cancelling our trip but so far the doctor says we can go. But I've been having trouble getting excited.

2:00 this morning was our time to finally make palo reservations. I would have completely forgotten if I had not set an alarm on my phone. Last night, I wasn't even going to bother. I was exhausted and depressed and figured we wouldn't be able to get a brunch time. I decided we would just try once we boarded.

Well, my DH got up without me knowing and made the reservations! He said it looked like all the times were open- which really surprises me and he made us 11:00 reservations. And I didn't even realize that our sea day was my
41st birthday ( I knew my birthday was on the cruise, but for some reason I thought it was the Nassau day).!

I am getting a bit more excited and I am hoping as time goes on I'll start to get excited again about the trip I've been planning for years!!!

Hi, everyone! I thought maybe I'd post a DISers list in the first post of everyone who has posted here and the ages of children so that people can try to PM ahead of time. When our kids were younger, they LOVED emailing other DIS cruisers ahead of time and arranged to meet up at the port or the sailaway party.

What do you guys think?
If you are interested, post your names & kids' gender & ages here and I will be glad to start the list in the first post. I know some people are reluctant to post kids' names, so it might be preferable to you to exchange that information in PM's.

I'll go post ours now. Hopefully, others will chime in and we'll even get more people signing in. :goodvibes

My friends who are going with us decided just yesterday that maybe they wanted to go to Palo's for brunch ( they are not planners at all- I have made all their reservations). I was very doubtful that any would be left, but told her she could try once they boarded. Well, I checked yesterday and almost all the brunch times were still available! That shocked me! Maybe the cruise won't be too crowded!

Anyway, on the cruise will be me ( Carol), husband David and 4 boys- ages 15, 12, 10 ( almost 11) and 8

Also our friends Jennifer and Scott and their DD ( 17years old) and DS ( 12 years old).

Hi everyone,

I have been looking for a cruise thread for a few months now, guess I just always missed this. Our cast includes myself (45), dh (43), ds (9). This will be our 4th cruise with DCL, the 3rd on the Wonder. Last summer we did a 7 night Western. We had a great time but we prefer the Wonder over the Magic. I have been surprised by the lack of activity on the boards for this cruise. Actually I forgot about making Palo reservations until about 5 pm the day after ressies could be made. To my pleasant surprise I had no problem getting what we wanted. Dh and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on the 25th so I booked both brunch and dinner - we should be good and full by the end of the day!

What are you all planning for Nassau?

My son will be just a few months shy of being 9- maybe he will meet your son in the lab. he is a bit bummed because his brothers will be in the older part of the lab- but he's pretty outgoing so I think he'll be okay. This is our first cruise so maybe he'll show him the ropes! Your anniversary is on my birthday! I got our Palo brunch reservations when we first could, but I was amazed, I was able to get reservations for our friends a week later.

Our cruise is almost here- finally!

Carol,

You ds will LOVE the lab! In fact my ds was talking about it this morning. He's wishing that he was a teenager so he could spend more time in the stack. Then he said wanted to know if he'd be with the older kids in the lab this time because they spend more time on the sports deck. He was ok being in the younger group. Last year he spent a lot of time playing on the computers in the lab.

Hi, everyone! Welcome, Kelli!
I am glad there is finally activty on this thread. I have to wonder just how full the ship will be, but like we all have mentioned, maybe it's full but with not many DISers. :confused3:
I was also surprised that when I checked for Palo's and spa reservations a couple days after I booked at 2 or 3 am :rotfl: there were still openings. I was able to book everything we were interested in!

We are pretty much staying on the ship in Nassau. We have spa appointments that morning and Palo's dinner for Howard and me that night. Jenn will join us for brunch on the at-sea day, but I really didnt' think she'd be as interested in dinner.

I am really hoping she will meet some other college kids at the college get-together the first night at 10pm. She makes friends very easily and still keeps in touch with people she met on her other two Magic cruises.

Can you all believe we are now less than 3 weeks from our trip? We are flying in to Orlando Friday night and staying at Port Orleans French Quarter until Sunday. Howard and I are training for an 8/12 half-marathon so we'll go for a run (speed walk for me) Saturday morning and then we have brunch at Chef Mickey's. A day by the pool to get a base tan, and then dinner at Boatwrights, a carriage ride around Port Orleans and then going over to Pleasure Island. We rented a car for the weekend, rather than use Magical Express and then DCL bus to the port. We decided we want to get on board earlier rather than when the resort buses would get us there.
Is everyone else arriving on Sunday?

oklamomof4boys
07-02-2007, 01:44 PM
We are getting to Orlando either the 15th or 16th. We are driving from Oklahoma and when we get to leave depends on my son's baseball team- is it bad to secretly hope they don't make it to the state championship game, delaying our vacation? We are doing several things before the cruise including Universal. But we are not going to WDW. This was a hard decision but we really didn't feel like we had enough time to really see everything there ( we've never been there- we go to DL just about every year). The older boys really wanted to go to Universal and the tickets are so much cheaper than WDW! We are eating at a couple of WDW resort restaurants- Whispering Canyon Cafe for my son's birthday and a breakfast buffet at Chef Mickey's. We are driving to Cape Canaveral the day before the cruise and staying at the Country Inn and Suites.

I'm not sure we are going to do much at Nassau. I would like to walk through the Straw Market just a bit and the boys want to go to the Pirate Museum. Then we are going to go back to the ship.

I'm getting very excited now!

Carol

Carol -- not sure whether to wish your son luck or not! :lmao: I hope your travels are uneventful and that your stay at Universal is wonderful! You may all need a very relaxing cruise after running around the parks for a couple days. :)
I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to relaxing by the POFQ pool on Saturday, maybe sharing a muffaletta sandwich with DH, MAYBE having some kind of frosty, vacation-only,sporting-an-umbrella drink! ;)
Life is crazy between now and 7/20, but it will all be worthwhile!

What cabin category is everyone? We are 9 this trip, it's the 1st time without a veranda. I'm starting to get concerned about that. Every morning I get up and go sit out there while dh and ds wake up, it's so peaceful. Not sure what I'll do this time. We are on deck 2.

Our 20th anniversary is the day at sea so we have Palo reservations for both brunch and dinner. We shouldn't be hungry after that! Last summer was our first experience with brunch - OMG was it wonderful. If it wasn't for the chocolate souffle and calamari we probably wouldn't bother with dinner.

Is anyone making door magnets?

07-04-2007, 09:26 AM
We have connecting category 10 rooms- since we've never been on another cruise, I don't figure we'll miss not having a veranda ( hopefully!). We are on deck 7- I wanted that deck since it was in between deck 5 and 9. I was going to make door magnets, then I read that not many people do that anymore. Then I thought I didn't really care what everybody else did. Then I started stressing about what to put on it- now I'm not sure I have time to make one!

Hi, everyone! So glad my cruisemates are posting here!
In case anyone is interested, disneyshopping.com has some awesome specials, including a nice tankini wth a swim skirt for $19.99, kids bathing suits & beach towels dirt cheap! We were at the Disney store today and they had all sorts of cool pirates clothes, and since DD wont' dress up for pirates night, I bought her a couple of pirate-themed tee shirts, including one with Orlando Bloom on it-- most of their tee shirts were $2.99!!!!

We are category 10. This is a total budget trip for us because we were at Disney in January for the marathon for a week, I was there in May for the Minnie Marathon, we are going to Chicago in August, and back to Disney in October for the new Halloween race. This cruise is a total splurge for us to take DDalmost19 on her first cruise as an adult, and we figured we'll literally only shower, dress and sleep in the cabin. We have never done an inside cabin before.

Kelli - I have to tell you -- I am the first one up every moring. I LOVE going up to the buffet and getting a plate of fruit and a chocolate croissant and sitting outside, watching the water. Last cruise I even saw some dolphins! I think if you tell your family ahead of time that you might not be in the cabin when they wake up, you can still enjoy your mornings outside. I am even planning to "run" every morning. I was very seriously ill on our last Disney cruise, months before my 4th heart surgery, and I plan to make up for it this time with as much activity as possible! :cool1:

Hi Marisa,

Don't worry about the Stack being over run by pre-teens. There may be one or two times where kids from the Oceaneers Lab get to go up to the Stack. During this time the teens are elsewhere on the ship. The kids do not go up there when the teens are present. This is pretty closely monitored.

You will have a great time.

Hi, Marisa! And welcome to the thread!
Noahsmom said exactly what I was going to tell you, based on the three Disney cruises we have been on. You will hardly see the younger kids, except at shows and meals and around the pools. Usually the teens are very well occupied and the Stack is off limits to the young ones.
BTW, not sure if you are planning any excursions on Castaway Cay, but our daughter LOVED the teen adventure outing when we went and she was almost 16. You might want to consider that if you are looking for something to do there.

Hi All,
I cannot believe our cruise is only weeks away! My family and I have been through some pretty rough stuff and we came close to cancelling this cruise. My Grandmother, who is paying for the cruise and was the main reason for booking, passed away in June. We know that she'd be pretty pissed at us if we didn't go. So we are going. It's going to be bitter sweet, and part of me doesn't want to go. So now I'm trying to get myself psyched back up about going. I booked myself a massage and was going to cancel, but I'm keeping it:) DH and I are doing the Jet Ski's on CC and the whole family is scheduled to do the Ardastra (Sp?) gardens on Nassau ..my Grandmother would love it!!
DH, DS (3) and Category 8 ..all of us being on Deck 7!! We are spending the night before at Pop Century - doing Magic Kingdom during the day. This is my first time on the Wonder..it'll be a much needed break for everything

mickeynut -- I am so sorry your family has suffered such a terrible loss, but I am sure your DGM would LOVE knowing you are all going and that you have such great stuff planned! :goodvibes

Wow! We leave 2 weeks from today! I still can't believe that we'll be getting to WDW very late Friday night. We've never done that before. But we are looking forward to a very early morning Saturday and doing all sorts of fun stuff that day before heading to the port on Sunday. :woohoo:

Our documents haven't arrived yet. Maybe today. :thumbsup2
Our disneyshopping order is due to be delivered today, so wouldn't it be great if we received our great cruise gear the same day as we receive our cruise documents?
Wow! I can actually "see" our trip from here! We leave next Friday night! Only 11 days away! OMG!!!!!

Woo Hoo! We got our cruise docs today! I was a little worried because we leave town either Friday or Saturday! My son's baseball team won Regionals yesterday and are on their way to State tomorrow. We have had a ton of rain around here and his coach was saying there was a chance that they would delay State a few days or a week. I told him the very latest Sam could stay was Sunday ( he would have to fly out with our friends on Monday) and he said, " No, he has to stay no matter what- we need him!"

Uhhhh- I DON'T THINK SO! I emphatically told him the latest he would have him was the 15th. Luckily DH and DS agree with me. I'm sorry but he is just 10 years old! Some things are more important than baseball. Luckily, right now everything is scheduled to run on time- pray we don't get anymore rain!

Yay!! DH called to tell me we got a packet from DCL! So, I am sure those are our cruise docs. AND -- our Disneyshopping order arrived. Can't wait to see if we have some new stuff to take on the cruise with us. ;)

So, does everyone have their documents now?
Did anyone get an upgrade?
We didn't. Still category 10, deck 2. That's okay, we really don't intend to spend any time in the cabin. LOL!

Hi! I'm new to the thread, things at home have kept me from the Boards lately....but I can't believe the cruise is in 10 days! We cannot wait. We have been on a Disney Cruise a year for the last 4 years now...but not the 4 day for a few years now. 4 or 7 days, it is very exciting and I plan to enjoy every minute of it.

There are just the three of us, me (Nan), DH and DS (8 "and two thirds"). This will be his first year in the Lab, hopefully he will like it and spend time there! :)

Happy travelling to those leaving soon!

Hi, Nan! Welcome aboard! :) I hope your DS LOVES the Lab. Our kids really enjoyed the kids clubs at each stage. It is hard to believe this trip we won't be registering anyone for a kids club! DS will be off at camp and DD is almost 19 now, so she is doing things like the spa, fitness center, Quiet Cove Pool, the coffee house and the entertainment district in the evenings. And she is very excited about the college get-togethers, too. It will be an entirely different kind of trip. I can't imagine getting off the ship after only 4 days, though. The 7 day cruises never seemed long enough! LOL!!!

We leave for WDW one week from today on an evening flight to spend 2 nights and one day at POFQ, which I am very excited to do! So, I have to get through only 6 more days of work, including today!

If anyone is interested, we could all wear lime green ribbons somewhere on our persons -- pinned to a shirt or a bag, and look for each other at the port and sailaway party.

What time is everyone gettng to the port? We are aiming for pretty close to 10 am though we are stopping at a grocery store on our way from the resort, to get a case of bottled water (I am addicted!) and a few bottles of snapple iced tea for DH and DD.

Cam - I am so excited for you! I can't wait for a trip report and lots and lots of pictures! :hyper:

BTW I have extra LGMH if you want some. I'll put them right in the mail if you do.

Welcome Nan- our sons are the same age. Maybe they will meet in the lab.

We are driving to Florida- if my son loses his baseball game tonight, we leave right after the game. If he wins, he plays tomorrow and we will leave tomorrow after the game. We will have our laptop with us, so I will be checking disboards on occassion to get any last minute info-LOL!

If others decide to wear lime green ribbons, I will try to stop somewhere to pick some up- no guarantee that I can get the boys to wear them!

So much to do today- it takes a while to get 6 people ready to leave for 19 days!

Good morning!
We got our package for the cruise yesterday! The pirate costume I ordered for my toddler came a few days ago (so cute!) So I guess it's time to start packing! We will get to FL a couple of days early and stay with relatives. I did make a little sign for our door but it is not elaborate at all... just some of the Mickey heads from home depot with our names. More to help us identify our room than anything! We are SO looking forward to next week. :goodvibes

Disney? Again?

Hi everyone! Can't wait to hear about the baseball game oklamomof4boys, our season ended about ten days ago, so Mark is now over it all :) I hope Mark does meet some DIS kids, that would be fun and he's very social.

Have a safe drive to FL!

Lime green ribbons sound like fun, something to look for walking around the Port.

Does anyone else wish you REALLY knew where and when you were eating ahead of time? I know this sounds crazy, but I wish I knew which restaurant rotation we have and where we'd be for pirate night, formal night, etc. so I could truly plan and pack what we NEED. I am trying, for like the 5th cruise, to not overpack. Sure...that's my story...I don't know the rotation. Wish me luck!

I agree about the 4 days seeming short, I'm used to the 7 also. I feel very lucky to be so spoiled, and looking forward to this!

Have fun packing!

I can't believe the cruise is in 2 days! We are at Windsor Hills resort right now. We have had a great vacation so far! We had a great-but late-start to vacation. Sam's baseball team won the State championship-so we were all flying pretty high for several days. Our drive was great- the boys loved World of Coke in Atlanta. We've been to Universal a couple of days, a Devil Rays game yesterday-where my youngest son got a foam finger for a souvenir ( something he's always wanted-not sure why, but he's thrilled). We are relaxing today and tomorrow but we are so excited about the cruise coming up!

I can't believe after all these years of planning and dreaming, our first cruise is finally here!

Carol -- Congratulations to your son & his team! :woohoo: How AWESOME is that?!?!?!? So, should we look for someone with a foam finger at the port? ;)

Paige -- I just tied some lime green ribbons last night and put them in my carry on. I just have to remember to "tie one on" before we head to the port. I also have some extra ribbon and pins with me, so if you don't get out to get some and if you do spot me at the port or at the sailaway party, be sure to say "hi" and I'll share. :goodvibes:

BTW, you guys will have NO trouble spotting us. You'll get a huge kick out of this. I convinced my 19 year old daughter and my husband to wear matching Disney clothes! :lmao: Jenn and I will be in the postcard pattern sundresses and Howard has the same pattern shirt. What a riot! I still can't believe they were willing to do that. :)

See you all Sunday!

Not sure if I'll make it to Wal-mart to get green ribbons-plus the boys just looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned wearing them! But I'll still work on them about the ribbons-lol!

We have been having a great time but we didn't get back to the room tonight until late and I still have 3 loads of laundry to do and we have to check out at 10:00am. We are driving to the Cape Canaveral tomorrow and staying at the Country Inn and Suites.

I can hardly wait!

Hi all, we had such a great time!! Cam, it was so much fun meeting you on board. On the way home I thought I wished that we had taken a picture together. You always just assume you will keep running into each other on the ship and then all of a sudden , you are getting off the ship. I enjoyed meeting your husband too. He seems like sich a nice guy. I am so glad you started this thread!! Later, lets pm and exchange addresses. Paige:)

Paige -- It was such a pleasure meeting you and your DH and 2 boys. Thank you so much for approaching us at the Parrot Cay embarkation buffet. Just think -- if you hadn 't done that, we probably would not have met. It was such a pleasure seeing your smiling face at the various places we ran into each other. I have started uploading pictures to an imagestation photo album and will share the link when it is all done. Be sure to PM me your email address.
To all our other 7/22 Wonder DISers -- so sorry we missed meeting all of you. I hope all of you and your families had as great a time as we did. We've already booked for next summer!

wow! the cruise was so much fun!
the weather in castaway cay was a bummer, and it began to pour as we got off the ship in nassau. But overall, it was a great travelling experience. The teen spectrum was nothing like I imagined, and i thoroughly enjoyed the various activities (dance parties, and towel folding!). The food options were overwhelming and often times i wasn't ready to eat at our 5:45 seating. However, our wait staff was exceptional (bringing fun puzzles, knowing what we wanted,etc.). I was definitely not ready to disembark on the adventure =/

Thanks to all who offered tips for the cruise and Happy Summer!pirate:
