Is it worth it even at this age?

I have two boys, ages 3 and almost 2. We're thinking about taking the boys to Disney (MK) next weekend. It'd be a drive from SC to FL, and it's not the least expensive "weekend getaway" option.....but is it truly worth it at this age?

In my opinion - YES!! It's definitely worth it. I have a 3yo DD who is always packing for Disney or asking me if I want to go back or telling me she wants to go visit Sleeping Beauty. Her first trip was at 13 months and it was definitely worth it. She has been 5 times and is only 3 and every trip just keeps getting better.

ABSOLUTELY!!!

We have 3 DD all who have been to Disney at times they probably don't remember. But guess what......I DO!!!! It is wonderful remembering their faces and expressions and getting to see them experience characters and lights and sounds even if they don't remember it. We have taped some of that and they love watching their trips to WDW. Last trip my middle DD was barely 2 and she still talks about the castle. The baby 7mos at the time(now almost 2) has since picked up on her big sisters WDW lingo! We're trying to plan that last trip before we have to start paying for all 3!!!!:laughing:

We used to go ALL the time - just as a quick last minute weekend getaway....and we've been wanting to go but others have told us that the kids are too young.

I think so- our last trip my youngest dd was 2 and she remembers things that happened during the trip & wants to know when we are going back. I think also the trip with little kids is more for us, the parents, & our memories more than even doing it for the kids. I treasure all my memories with my kids at WDW even when they were too young to remember things. First picture with Mickey, walking hand in hand with Cinderella at 18 months. Walking down Main street waving to all the people waiting for the parade. They may not remember but I do.

You're never too young for Disney!! DS1 was 20 months at his first trip and loved it!!! DS2 was 3 months and while he didnt get much out of it, we have priceless pictures and he was very easygoing.

We are going this summer and they will be 4 and almost 2! :cool1:

If I lived that close I would be making FREQUENT trips. We took our kids when they were 1 and 2 for their first trips. It was a great time and I would do it again in a heart beat!!

I plan to take dd when she is 2. I figure even if she doesn't remember it she is having a great time while she is there and that aids in a happy childhood.

We started taking DS to WDW when he was 13mos old. He's been to WDW 6x already and DL 3x, and he doesn't turn four until April! He is always asking to go to the airport, "I want to go to the Boardwalk" (we're DVC members), "I want to ride Pirates" (or whatever favorite ride is on his mind, etc etc. He loves Disney (yes, he's been indoctrinated by his parents, lol) There is just something really magical about this age I'm glad we didn't miss out on. Plus if they're under three, they get in free... so you can't beat that!

Do It!! i just got back Thursday from a trip there with my 2YO DD and she loved it. We had so mcuh fun. We did as much as we could. She loved the parades, the character meals,and alot of rides. She would've stayed there forever too.:wizard:

By the time our son was 5, we had taken him on a Disney Vacation 6 times! This included California Adventure and the Disney Magic. Some of my BEST memories are the ones that included my son and daughter when they were just toddlers. Don't expect to do the "whole" park. Take it slow. Take breaks...see it through the eyes of your child.

IMHO, ages 2 and 3 were the most magical ages at WDW for my girls. They believe in all the magic, are in awe of it all, taking it all in and they also just went with the flow. As they get older, at least my girls, they start to whine and complain more and its not quite as magical as those younger years.

I say go! Especially since you leave so near by and the 2 year old will be free!
