View Full Version : Wait list came through!!!

I was scheduled to be at WDW from 12/27 through 1/6 and I extended my stay last week. I wanted to stay until 1/10. OKW and VWL were totally booked for those days but BWV was available for 1/7 through 1/10 so I took that and got on the waitlist for either VWL or BWV. Well I got the extra day at VWL today. So now the plans are:

OKW 12/27 - 1/1
VWL 1/1 - 1/7
BWV 1/7 - 1/10

Interesting that I never got a call from MS, just a revised reservation in the mail today.

Congratulations on getting exactly what you were looking for!

We'll look forward to your report on your tour of WDW DVC homes. :)

I've never wait listed on a ressie....does MS usually call or is this the standard operating procedure?

Granny, We have waitlisted before and it came through for us both times. Also, MS doesn't call you to inform you, they just send your new reservation via mail.:)

I think you have the choice of having them automatically do it or call you to confirm first.

The only reason that I was expecting a call is that when I ask about being put on the wait lists the CM from MS put all the info in, told me I was on the wait list for both resorts and then confirmed my home phone number and told me that I would be called if and when it came through. I've never done the wait list before so I didn't know the full procedure and was just going by what they told me.

We requested to go on the wait list for VWL when we went in may this year we went on 30 days out and member services phoned us up to tell us we had a room if we still wanted it and we live in the uk

we usually get a phone call for waitlists.....

sometimes we call to see if the waitlist has come through and when they check ....they say ....yes it has....

so maybe in the holiday rushes....someone slipped up or did not see that "please call" was checked off in the computer ....
