Ok I need some help here please!! Does anyone know of a Disney store in Maryland? :confused3 I think I found one in Waldorf and that's about an hour away from me. If you can't tell--we're pretty new to the area :rotfl: Any help from fellow Marylanders would be appreciated. Also if you do know of one were you able to buy disney dollars there? I would like to buy some for my dd's for our trip. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Hello there fellow Marylander. :wave2:
Can you be a little more specific as to where in Maryland you are. Maybe by county? There are Disney stores around, but it would help if you could be a little more specific as to where you are so we can help better. :)

I don't know where you are, there are Disney Stores in the Mall at Columbia and White Marsh Mall (near Perry Hall). I believe there is also a Disney Store at Owings Mills as well.

Hello, there! I'm a Maryland girl, born and raised now living in Northern VA.
If you take a quick(?) drive around the Beltway, there's a Disney Store in
Tysons Corner Center. Just take the Beltway toward No. Va./ Silver Spring,
Go over the American Legion Bridge into VA, take the Rt. 7(Leesburg Pike)
exit toward Tysons Corner(NOT Falls Church), stay in that lane and make a
right at the first light into the mall. This is all assuming you're not in the
Baltimore area. Of course if you are it could be a road trip! Welcome to our
neck of the woods. :thumbsup2

You can get Disney Dollars at the Disney store in Waldorf, and if you don't mind the drive it's a nice low key mall to visit. It's about a 45 minute drive for us too, but we enjoy going there. It's never too crowded.

Good morning, disney or bust! Welcome to Maryland. We have lost a couple of Disney Stores in MD in the past few years, unfortunately. It sounds like you might be in Southern MD (like me!)...that's Charles, St.Mary's, and Calvert Counties. If that's the case, the store in Waldorf is your closest store. We are used to a good bit of travel down here to get to the modern world of shopping, lol. I am about a half hour from the Waldorf store, and they do still sell Disney Dollars as of very recently.

Snow White gave you the other MD locations, as well as Gaithersburg and Hagerstown, but those are very far from me. If you are towards or in Southern MD near me, your other choices in shopping would be Northern VA, and Cee gave you great directions to hers. Last time I was there, there was also one in Fredericksburg, VA., which is about an hour from me if traffic is good, lol. :rotfl:

Feel free to PM if I can be of any more help. :)

Hey, we just returned from WDW on Saturday, and are usually there each September for the pin event! Maybe we'll be there at the same time! :goodvibes

Hmmm.....Columbia. I think that one would be closer to me....I already have dh convinced that I just have to go to the Disney store!!! Thanks so much Snow_White!!!:thumbsup2

I'm in AA County too, and Columbia is definitely the closest and really easy to get to. Welcome to MD!

I'm in AA County also.

I was just at the Columbia Disney store last weekend & got some Disney dollars for the kids' Easter baskets.
It's on the 2nd floor of the mall, not to far from Build-a-Bear.

I just wanted to say hi, I am in Maryland too. Grew up and lived in AAC for most of my life, but we moved to Easton about 3 1/2 years ago. There is a Disney Outlet in Rehobeth.

There is a Disney Outlet at Potomac Mills! That's in Dale City. South on 95
toward Fredericksburg and all those great places, Dale City exit. You'll see
the huge Potomac Mills sign looming. Disney is everywhere, whoop, whoop!

Oohhhh....I'm in the shade of the Bay Bridge(AA Co side)....I usually go to Columbia (ok, I usually go on-line)....but I'll have to zip over to Rehobeth one weekend and check that out...it's only about an hour and a half for me.

We are moving up to the Bel Air, MD area this summer.

Where are the closest Disney stores to us?

Sounds like we need a MD DIS meet!

It's so neat to "see" that there are so many of us Maryland DISsers!!! Just wanted to add that we went to the Disney store in Waldorf today and got some Disney dollars!!!  The ones I got were the Dumbo $1 bills. Are there other designs? I mean for like the 5's or 10's? Oh by the way when I went today they had a bunch of lime green mickey antenna toppers there! Of course I had to pick some up--:woohoo: I think I am going to try and convince dh that I just have to go to Columbia for _________ (insert reason here!!)

Yes there are other designs.
I recently bought $10.00 Disney dollars.
I think they have Stitch on them, but I'm not positive.
I know the Disney dollars my kids got at Christmas had Stitch on them.

Do you go to the Disney store at Christiana Mall? I've gone there alot, like that tax free shopping in DE :thumbsup2. Plus DSIL works at that mall so we'll meet up w/ her to kill 2 Birds w/ 1 stone.

in my opinion, I would not make a special trip just for that. :sad2: I have been to this particular outlet store many times and have been very disappointed (borderline disgusted) except for one time. Selection is usually poor and tons of the same exact thing! Prices in general are not much better than a regular store and often you can do just as well at a good sale at the regular store. If you're going that way for other stuff, I would stop by. But IMO, a 1 and 1/2 hr drive is too long to travel just for that outlet. But again, that's just my opinion. :confused3

ALL the time! I work at the mall too, so stop in at least once a week! They know me in that location now. ;) I preordered Peter Pan there to get my pretty lithographs to hang in the house. :) I picked up these really cute Princess t-shirts for cheep in there in January(I think). I don't know if anyone else saw them, they were modeled after the covers of fashion magazines. I think they were about $7.50 a pop if I remember right. The ladies there are really nice. :)

Bummer, I missed that one! :sad1: I got my nice denim Eeyore jacket there 2 years ago for $28.:woohoo:. I get lots of comments on it and inquiries as to where I got it. Which store do you work at? My SIL has worked at the maternity store there, plus LTD 2, Gymboree, and a couple of others that are already gone....:sad2: I've been shopping up there since 92, when my inlaws only lived 5 min from the mall. Their backyard backed right up to RT 1, jumped on 1 right after leaving their neighborhood and took it down a couple of miles to mall rd and boom you were there! Even got to leave DD w/ them to shop alone. :woohoo: Can you tell that I loved to shop?! I can remember when they opened the WalMart in Elkton and it was the first one for 50 miles around. :lmao: Not the case anymore!!
Hey is that Yodelbauers (I know I spelled it wrong) having any good sales. I'm going to need new living room furn the middle of april)

Let's just say I share a wall with the food court. That leaves you with two guesses. :rolleyes1 I used to work at Lane Bryant. I'm still a bit on the chubby side, I have been all of my life. I'm not sure about Yodelbauers, if I see anything I'll let you know. ;)
