Hey everyone I'm new and my name is DiamondD or Devin. Call me whatever. I have three girls and husband named Todd. I enjoying reading and being a mom. I have been to Disney 22 times in my entire life! Todd has only been 12 times. We enjoy staying at the Contemporary, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and The Beach Club. My favorite park is the Magic Kingdom. I am so glad to be a member here and can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi! Since you said you've stayed at both the WL and the Contemporary...tell me I didn't make a mistake! I booked the WL last September and kept it a secret from everyone. (I wanted to surprise my kids with the trip and I knew my husband could never keep it a secret for that long). I just told my husband last month because he had to request the vacation time to go in May. His first question was "Are we staying at the Contemporary? I've always wanted to stay there." WHAAAT?? I booked the WL because I love the theming. Now it's too late to do the CR...I was able to get the "free park hopper and water passes" offered during that time and I would lose out if I tried to switch now. Tell me about your experience at both. Maybe we can do CR on our next trip.

Wilderness Lodge is a very happy experience! I agree with what you think of it.
As for the Contemporary we mainly like it because we booked a MK view and it was excellent! Stay with WL and you will enjoy it! Next time stay at the CR and see which one your DH likes better. Enjoy your trip!

Hey Devin! I still can't believe you've been 22 times! When is your next trip? How many times have your girls been? My trip in May will be either my 11th or 12th visit. My daughter (age 11) will be going for her 6th time. My 6 year old will be going for his 2nd time.

Welcome to the DIS! We've been to the Wilderness Lodge twice and like it but we're booked at the Contemporary for this Christmas. DH really likes it best because the of the room size and access to MK and EPCOT.
You'll love our forums and I'm sure you'll have answers for questions!

Welcome...
Have fun. I was thinking about WL, but I went with a Moderate instead. We only get a couple of days in Orlando during our trip, so we won't be at the hotel much. I am actually thinking of downgrading to POP, since we might actually spend two days in the Parks this time.
Three girls, sounds like fun! My DD2 loved the parks six months ago. It was her second birthday.
Another one on the way have fun. I've always heard the transition from 1-2 is the hardest, after that it's all gravy. We're a confirmed one child family. I don't know how you do it.

Welcome to a new "veteran"! I see that we are from the same geographical area (I'm from Woodbridge) but I am like you, I never tire of Disney! It is my favorite place on earth.
Last year we did a land/sea vacation. It was great and we stayed at the BCR. We loved the location because we were so close to Epcot that you can walk and then there is boat to the MGM studio park. It was marvelous.
This year we are going to Europe and taking my cousin's granddaughter to Disneyland-Paris. It's only for a day, but at least it is a quick fix!:rotfl2: :disrocks:
