Pop dreams come true

Hi! Just returned from DW Wed. morning & wanted to share our "dreams" come true. These 2 special things that happened were probably unrelated to the YOMD, but I was still excited!! We stayed at POP & I had mentioned at check in & when making reservations that we were celebrating my dad's 60th b-day. We arrived & started unpacking when there was a knock on our door. 2 CM's were there w/ a Cinderella signed card & balloon for DD 18 mo. & a Mickey card & balloon for DS 4. We went next door to tell my parents & they had received something as well!! The same CM's bought my dad 3 balloons, a card signed by ALL the major characters & a bucket w/ POP related goodies (candy, keychains, bracelets, etc.) Well, that just made my trip!!! I have been there for b-days before & never rec'd anything like that.

Also, on the last day of our stay, a CM in the POP lobby asked my DS4 if he wanted to be in the Pop parade! He was one of maybe 8 kids & adults who strolled through the lobby & gift shop playing instruments. He got a certificate & was able to pick out a prize afterward. He selected a 'slap bracelet' & was telling everyone he saw that his mommy had these when she was younger (after I told him about it). It was great!!

So, we didn't get any dream fast passes or castle stay, but Pop really made some dreams come true! I was really impressed with our stay there!

Pop parade, eh? That's a new one---we'll be there in May---what a great gift and for a "kid at heart, too"-thanks for sharing and YES, I think this counts as YOMD fer sher!:cool1:

The CM I spoke w/ said that the Pop parade was held everyday at 5:30, so if you are around at that time, check it out! Cute!

For anyone celebrating a birthday...make sure you have CRO add it to your reservation, as well as mentioning it a check-in. A little extra security never hurts!

Yeah I am a bad Mom! I was so excited about our trip plans I totally forgot to mention DD bday at check in. So, of course I thought of it on Friday morning(we were checking out on Sat.-her bday). and the cm said they need atleast 2 days notice to do something special but did give us a birthday pin for her. We already had one(I waited for ever in line at Epcot the day before....who knew they had them at Pop Concierge desk! Would have been so much faster!

BEST $5 GIFT....on Sat. we went to Magic Kingdom for DD bday and stopped by the MainStreet Barber Shop....and for $5..they fixed her hair(braided pony tail...painted mickey on the side...hairspray and pixie dust..."glued" w/pink gel cind.castles(confetti) and carriage all around) Super Cute. We had people stopping us all day asking where she got it done..we went to Epcot for ADR's and a group of teen girls followed us to the photo center just to stop us and ask about where we got it done. If I was computer savvy, I would post a pic...sorry.

the parade is possibly the one thing that i love most about pop century. its the time that the cm's get a chance to play with the kids. its sooo much fun! :wizard:

We just got back today (3 hrs ago). We went down for my birthday. No one told me until last night that I could get a button and people would say something on my birthday.

My bday is cinco de mayo, i even tried to use it to get res's at Mexico the night of. HAH good luck. I could have been bleeding from the torso and had a better time of it. The moral is to book that one in advance I guess :p ...
