Hi: Any recommendations for a nice hotel/motel for one nights stay while driving to wdw somewhere in south carolina? We are driving down I77/79 to I95 route.
Thanks,
Deb.

When I drove the kids down last March Break, I found a nice, affordable Sleep Inn right off the I-77 - it's exit 17 on Two Notch Road - you can look it up on the Choice Hotels website for rates - if you're looking for a deal, we stop at the Welcome Centre and pick up coupon books and the Choice Hotels are usually in there. You can't reserve ahead of time with the coupon, but I know I got two rooms for us for under $100. I find it hard to reserve a room when we are driving because I never know how far we'll feel like going. Charlotte, N.C. is usually a half-way point for us, and we've stopped there too with coupons from the Welcome Center. Have a safe and enjoyable trip!

Do not stop in Richburg Sc, which is about 30 min to 45 mins south of Charlotte. There were 6 hotels on this exit and from the outside we felt we choice the best one. We stayed at the Comfort Inn, there were lots of cars and it had a nice looking pool. The room was clean but when we arrived at the pool, it was green with gross things floating in it. My kids were heart broken.
