Wow! It was like Christmas when I arrived home. There where three pacakges here. There are from Daisydu (congrats of the baby), Mickeyfan2, and Mickster. Everything looks great! Thanks for the goodies!
Plus, two more packages are on the way. I'm looking forward to getting this swap all sorted and- I already have plans for several pages.

Turns out the wonderful shaker pieces I'v made recently, the glue does NOT hold from transparency to foam. If bent or held wrong, the seal breaks and out tumbles little beads.

So to those of you who have my shakers from Tomorrowland or Japan, I am so sorry. I will not be using that technique anymore. Guess I have to stick double sided sticky foam.

I was able to fix mine by adding some double sided tape in the loose places and it seems to be holding up fine in the album.

I now use Scotch double sided permanent tape to hold the transparency to the foam when making shakers. I too learned the hard way that glue doesn't work.

Shawna already tried with the glue she had. No luck. I need to get with Miss B&MB to find out what glue she used in her lesson. Maybe I can buy some to send to those who have my shakers. For some of the ones I made, sticky tape will work. But I'm afraid the Japan ones don't have enough room at the edges for that fix.

I cut the tape into small pieces for the Japan one and it has worked so far. I loved that whole kit so much I couldn't bare not to use it so I found a way to fix it.

I am in the middle of my Epcot book. I have some pages finished- Japan is awaiting 1 picture to come in but other than that is done. I decided it was time to use my swap pieces and I have used over 100 swap pieces in the last month (i count each seperate part of a kit as 1 piece) and I have many more awaiting pictures. Some of the pages of my EPCOT book are awaiting the taking of pictures. Mission Space is our favorite EPCOT ride and we have not taken any pictures of it.

Oh Gosh....I wish I had known!! I have apple eyelets and brads coming out my ears!! I had originally ordered them for some Wicked Witch and Snow White elements. I would have given them to you. Sorry! I'm sure your things will be wonderful, though!

When I went to get them to prepare them for mailing, found that something had gotten spilled on them and a lot are ruined. :sick: So, I will have to redo them. No problem! My mom lives with us and is 85, almost 86. She fell aabout 3-4 weeks ago and didn't tell us. Finally told me this weekend, she has bruises and some numb fingers. So, need to schedule appointments to get this looked at.

She has some other issues as well and we--dh and I--are in heavy discussions about nursing home care and when to do it, where to go, etc. I have no siblings, so it all falls on me and it is a very hard decision to make. My mind tells me one thing, but my heart says another.:confused:

I know it's a very hard decision... Make sure you ask lots of questions when and if you decide to go in and look at the nursing homes.. Check safety, and contact the health department (or you may be able to find it on the net) about their quality of care, I can't think of the word I want..but they evaluate them every year and give them their accredition. If you want a list of questions to ask.. feel free to PM me.. my Aunt placed my Grandpa in a nursing home because of his dementia.. do we hate it yes...but we had to keep in safe.. :hug:

:grouphug: Its a hard decision, especially if you have no siblings to share the debate. Personal recommendation is always worth having (even if its negative, as in "don't go there" ), so ask around and see if anyone has recent experience - remember these places can change so just because someone's Aunt Ethel loved a place 15 years ago doesn't mean its the same now.

The clerk was so nice--she was almost apologetic. It is the airline rule, so their hands are tied.

So close- My friend just flew home last week and her suitcase was 3 lbs over- She had to pay $25 becuase they would not let her remove something- They said once they took the bag, it could not be played with! I called Delta myself, because I booked the ticket!

Wow, everytime my suitcase goes over 50 pounds, which is often - LOL, they tell me to take some things out.........and that's in Chicago! Sometimes, they just say they'll let me go through but not to do it again....which I do anyway!

Maria's is on it's way and should be here tomorrow. We have one additional package that is not here yet. The person ordered her stuff and is waiting it's arrival from the Vendor (That should be on Wednesday). She can then put it in the mail to me but it will be early next week before I recieve it. Everything on this end is done and ready to ship. What I need to know is do ya'll want to wait until next or do you want me to ship them back this week?

Ok ladies,
some of you can start watching the mail. I sent out 11 packages tonight at the post office. These packages went to anyone in groups 1 and 2 only. If you are in group 3, I'm holding your package because our last swapper sent her stuff to me today. I will hold you packages until next Thursday (4/19/07) and then I will complete the set myself and ship them out to you no later then Friday.
I will post pictures tomorrow- I'm way to sleep to try tonight. The work on this swap was so creative. I know each of you is going to enjoy what you are recieving. Thank you for all the little goodies that where sent- I did not expect them, but they will be used as I create the story books of my children's life!

I am feeling better. This is the standardized testing week at school, so things are crazy! I will post pictures- I promise but it will be this weekend. I spent about an hour taking pictures last weekend but they are all fuzzy, so I have to dig all my stuff out because I was so effectent that I put them away as I took pictures.

I totally know. I had to get them for the kids' Easter baskets after I made the October. :rolleyes1 I didn't notice the color combination at the store, just as I was putting them into the baggies.
