I am attempting to cancel this one and I'm not sure if it went through. I go through the cancellation process at Freebidding and it then takes me to the Segpay page. Do I have to do something here too? When I enter my info on this page it says it can't find me--does this mean I'm cancelled or did something go wrong? When I tried the whole process over again to try and figure this out, on the Freebidding page it says "cancellation attempted, waiting for confirmation from processor". It had also stated I would receive a cancellation confirmation email which did not show up yet. (Though I never did get an email from Freebidding when I signed up either, just the one from Segpay) I would appreciate any input from someone who has already been through this.

I was very confused with that too! I did it three times. Finally the third time of trying to cancel it said I couldn't cancel it because it already was cancelled! Try picking another reason to cancel and go back in and see what happens. :crazy2: :confused3

It took me to the segpay site for my cancellation as well. I'm pretty sure I did it right it said my account was canceled and I should get the cancellation email within 24 hours. Since this is a 24 hour trial I hope I get it sooner then that!

Nope. Same thing so far. Did you do anything on the Segpay page or did you just stop at that point? And did you ever get a confirmation email that you had cancelled? I don't do very many of these offers and I'm getting a bit nervous that I won't be able to make this work on time and get charged.

I tried cancelling last night and get the exact same messages as you. Did the other page and they couldn't find me. So I went ahead and e-mailed the segpay or whatever customer support asking to make sure it is cancelled and provide me with feedback about the cancellation. I am not overly worried about it however because I have a Citi card that I get Virtual Account numbers that are only good for one time for an amount I specified. In this case $1 so if they try to charge me for a subscription my CC will say it is refused. I wish Chase would offer the Virtualy Account numbers, then I could get Disney Rewards for the trials.

Thought about doing Freebidding, but it seems complicated! Do not know if I will do it now.....

I am now wishing I hadn't tried it. If I get charged....:furious:
Anyway, I just sent messages to customer service at both Freebidding and Segpay stating that I want to cancel, I do not want to be charged, and to send me confirmation. Hopefully I will hear from one of them or will get a different message when I try to cancel again later. If anyone else has any more information that might help I would sure appreciate it.
missymouse: Thanks for the tip regarding the virtual account numbers. I didn't realize how those worked. I have a Citi card too and will definitely look into that in the future.

UPDATE: Just got an email from Segpay. Can't believe they are so fast!
It states:
Dear Customer,
As per your request your account has been cancelled for future rebills. You will
continue to have an access until it disables on 03/07/2007.

I also got a separate email serving as the receipt for cancellation. I'll keep an eye on my CC account and make sure nothing shows up there, but looks like everything worked out okay on this one. Thanks for the responses!

I emailed help@segpay.com and i just got a reply back with a cancellation reciept! :banana:
I was getting worried about that one!

I signed up last night, got credit & then went to cancel online. I tried a few times to make sure it went through. Each time it said "cancellation attempted, waiting for confirmation from processor." So I figured it went through. Well, I didn't have any emails all day from SegPay, so I sent an email through their site & then got worried (my 24 hours is soon approaching!) so then I decided to call. Glad I did! They had no record of me trying to cancel. But she immediately put through the cancellation & within minutes I had an email confirming!!
