If you read the CB, you know that yesterday the husband and I went to Davenport to check the town out. The thread is here

if you'd like to read it.

It's about a 30 minute ride from where I am now and, for those of you not familiar with Florida, it boarders Disney World on the north side. Because we were so close, I decided to have lunch at the AKL. My husband has Parkinsons and while he can still walk, he can't walk very far and he always has pain. I have numerous back problems and arthritis so we're quite a pair. In order for us to see the AKL, I had to push him in a wheelchair. Can you see where this is going?:crazy2:

Today my left leg, which is being held hostage by sciatica, is so bad I am limping. Think having yours plugged into a wall outlet and you'll get an idea of the way it feels. Constant tingling with muscle spasms thrown in for fun. It makes me want to scream!

I don't talk about my back too much. A doctor told me once that the more you talk about pain, the worse it can get and I have to agree. But this is really horrible today. I'll take any aww, poor babies I can get. :p

I feel for you, I too have a pinched sciatic. My mother has it so bad that every 6 months or so she has to receive injections to even walk.

Hugs to you.. I do hope you feel better real soon......somehow I cannot bring myself to say poor baby as it sounds like I do not mean it. I do, however, hope you are painfree quick. :)

Feel better soon! I can't imagine sciatica. Does rest help?

It does... somewhat. What really helps is sleep. I think when I'm out for the night all the muscles relax and what is pressing on that nerve shifts away from it. My spine looks like bone spur city.

Sitting is the worst and, of course, here I am sitting at the computer. DUH! Eh, if I was on the couch I'd be thinking about it more and that's as bad as the actual pain sometimes, KWIM?

The good news is that these really bad episodes usually only last a day or two. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better. :thumbsup2
