View Full Version : Il Mulino Take Two-Much Better

We gave Il Mulino one more shot as our final dining experience at Disney. This time my DH ordered the meat tortellini with peas and cream sauce, fabulous! I had the linguine with pancetta/onion marinara sauce..also very good. Service was great. Keeping our order to just two entrees and DH got a beer cut our cost in half from previous experience. I think the thing is the waiters keep suggesting appetizers, wines, drinks to complement your meal and they talk really fast and I equate it to being at a car dealership where the next thing you know you've agreed to more than planned and you get the bill - ouch! So we promised ourselves entering the experience to just order one entree each. Also I guess the gnocchi bolognese is just not a great dish (what we both had before) so stick with the other entrees, avoid the appetizers, enjoy the complimentary bread, and the meal will be a better experience!

In the Swan.
OP - thanks for the review, we have ADRs for May, replacing Shula's in our list of "must goes" this trip. Looking forwarded to it.

Will be interesting to see how Il Mulino does with folks like us who always order drinks, apps and dessert.

Thanks for the review. I'm really looking forward to Il Mulino. I know, going in, it'll be an expensive night out for us. But, so is BlueZoo, CG, AP etc.... Comes with the territory, I guess.
We like to do many courses & we are able to do it by splitting, which keeps the bill (not to mention, our waistlines ;) ) a little more reasonable.

Question: Did Il Mulino give complimentary appetizers, such as mussels, etc.? They do that in Vegas and and New York.
