How do you see if they picked them up? I use to get that option but when we got the new profiles I lost that option. How to I enable it again? Thanks.

Look under additional options located under the submit message button before you send a PM. Check the box that reads "Request a read receipt for this message". It used to be automatic before the upgrades. I wish I knew how to make it that way again.

I got mine in the mail today. Some were first class, some media mail, so I dunno what the arrival time difference will be. I also received Devil in the White City and Lost in the Forest.
Ok, my rant of the day. My debit card doesn't have my full name on it. My last name is even longer than my first name. So, my card reads Stephan **********. My name is just too long to fit on the card. Well the nice little PO lady takes my card and asks for my ID. Apparently I'm not allowed to use the scanner placed on my side of the counter, although it appears functional. No biggie, it happens. I dig my ID and hand it over with a smile. A SMILE. At 9AM. Which is unheard of for me. Then she proceeds to study my ID and my card. And yells, "Who's Stephen? You're not Stephen. Is he your husband?" I explain name too long yada yada yada. More scrutiny of both cards on her part, and I remind her that I signed the back of the debit card, so she can compare signatures if she likes. She flips it over and back at the speed of light and says "Well, I can tell someone signed it. I guess I'll take it this time." Which was a good thing, because since the invention of this wonderous little plastic card that is connected to my checking account, I never have cash nor a checkbook with me.
DH's suggestion for the next time this happens is to tell them that I just haven't gotten it changed since I had my operation. I am soooooo using that. :teeth:

Your welcome! It was another book that I purchased from the local thrift store. The jury's still out on whether or not I had read it before. The story seemed familar when I read it but I couldn't decide if I had or not. :rotfl: I enjoyed it anyway, whether or not it was for the second time!
I also received Night Embrace from you. Thanks Michelle!
And I also received two books from meriweather, Daddy and The Face. Thank you Nancy! Also for the book marks, hot chocolate and chocolate candy. I'm glad that it's not hot yet. The candy somehow unwrapped itself in the package. Is there something weird about these books that you haven't told me? They look like they tried to eat the candy!

Yesterday was a book day! Maybe today will be also. We have 21 books left to arrive and one participant yet to say she's mailed. Hopefully soon!
"Cell" from Kirby
Though I haven't read a lot of Stephen King, the idea that this book has intrigued me so I picked it up. Scary thought, but then I don't always answer my cell phone just because it rings.
Evening Class
I really did enjoy this book. It ended much too quickly for me.
Dagger Magic from Kirby
This book was different. I picked it up at the Dollar Store. Sort of wished I had read some of the previous books to know more about the main characters.
Thanks for hosting, Kirby. Can't wait for the next one. I already have a pile of books ready to go.
You're welcome! I've already started on my next group to submit. I went to the thrift store yesterday and brought home 10 books all for .25 each. What a deal! I have about 30 books now that I need to read. Some of them will be in the next book exchange. Look for it about August.

Oh, and no biggie Pappa D. I even read the back of cereal boxes, so I will read just about anything, and I already finished one of my exchange books. I was one of the last to submit my list because I couldn't decide. They all sounded good.
