Roger had to reconfigure the server today and now my computer is not working properly. It was a complicated problem...so what it boils down to is I am going to have to reinstall all of my Operating SYstem and all my software, All my files are still there so I backed up all my documents. So it might take me a few days till I get the time to do it all. It has been over a year since I did a good system re-install so this is just the catalyst to get me to do it.

Well that is how my night went :(

No I won't misse being here, all it means is I will need to reinstall all of my software. What happened is that we sold one of our computers to a freind and that computer was the one we used for the domain server on my network at home. So I had to unjoin my computer from the domain, and for some reason half of my software will not work :-( I appologize in advance to those who are not technical for the technical answer.

I will probably not get to it for several days, because we are going to michigan to be with rogers family for christmas.

For those I am working on clipart for...I will get to it when I get everything reinstalled.

That's pretty scary. I understood exactly what you're talking about Patrick. I changed my operating system right before DIS-Con (to Windows XP), and it wasn't pretty. I'd hate to have to go through reinstalling software on a new server, and all that entails. Good luck!

I finally figured it out ...when didn't make me admin after we had disconected us...now everything is working right.....One stupidly easy thing... but when I return from Michigan I will Reinstall my OS and Software anyway...time for a Cleanup, it has been a year.

Our system wasn't working right before we left for DIS Con so my DH bought XP when we returned and even though he did a backup of all but the software, he forgot about all the addresses for our e-mails and my e-mails for my January trip....UGH!!! Good thing I printed out everything I needed. Thank goodness Bwalker finally sent me an e-mail (she's who I'm going with in Jan.), because I lost her e-mail too and I was frantic!!!:eek:
