How about 8:00 am, is this too early or too late?
I'm almost all packed :cheer2:
I packed one bag with just cruise stuff like all the dinner garb and pirate stuff. The other will be shorts and t's and things we will use at wdw. I plan on doing a load of laundry at akv. we will be in a value studio so I will use the free facilities. Anyone stay here at akv or akl? does anyone know if you can carry on a garment bag, like the type you get when you buy a dress from the store (not a luggage garment bag). I was hoping to carry on my long dress and my daughters. Really do not want to pack these. Thanks Liz

90% PACKED????:scared1:
I have everything I need for clothes set aside. But I haven't 'packed' it yet. (I do the ziplock baggie thing for the girls.) I don't want things getting too wrinkled or creased.
i am concerned about the formal wear. I have a dress that is all pleated. If that thing is gets wrinkled, it will be a pain to iron.
I did my last minute shopping yesterday....autograph photomat, clear over the door shower organizer, gift bags (for FE's), small white boards for our doors, new mini straightening iron.
Sometimes I think the clothes are the easy part of packing, it is all of the other 'cr*p' we need to take which is time consuming and tedious. (jewelry, shoes, tolietries, electronics).
:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: this is how I will feel for the next 10 days!!!:hyper: :hyper::hyper:

Ok girls, it is 8am on deck 4 on sea days. (but we won't hold you to it, if you feel like sleeping in)
I have no lime green, but we will find one another, or if not, we will meet at the greet.
in order to quote, you just press quote on the bottom of this link. I am not quite sure how to do much much more, wish I new how to post a photo, I would put my photo on the page.(then I wouldn't have to wear green lol)
Off to work.......
I don't know for sure as i'm not that seasoned a dis'er, but i thought it had to do with the mickey mouse head paint chips at home depot. you know those paper sample colors of disney paints. when we where going to dl 2yrs ago there was a post about tying those to your bags or pocketbooks so other diser's would spot you. i tied them on every bag and when we got to luggage claim they were easy to spot! lol if you don't have green on that's ok i'll wear my tinkerbell shirt so you guys can spot me!

Yeah, me & the boys (our clothes, not bathroom stuff, sock or undies) are 90% packed  , DH is ON HIS OWN. Of course, Mr. Minimalist thinks he can get by with a small duffle bag for 12 days. :crazy2: I do not do the ziplock thing, as the boys will be re-using shirts with shorts, etc. over the vaca.
For formal night I made an executive decision for our family and it is this:
::cop:: Jennifer_W's family from Minnesota is going only semi-formal on formal night!!!
Hope I didn't shock anyone, but I had the choice between a formal gown and jacket that would require bringing hose and heels, etc., and a nice skirt and sweater & the skirt is what I would feel more comfy in, so that is what I am wearing. The older boys will be in dockers and shirts & ties, toddler DS will be in khakis & sweater vest, etc. DH will probably wear a sportcoat and khakis. I really, really hate to get super dressy, so this is what's comfortable for us. Less to pack, too, as I can wear that outfit (shock!) more than once.
OK, I have justified it in my mind. :upsidedow
I know what you mean about all the extra stuff needed for a cruise or vacation. I shudder to think of the $ spent. I'm NOT saying ME, but SOME people have gotten new purses, diaper bags, shoes, travel sized hot roller sets....:rolleyes1
How are you guys packing? Some of everybody's stuff in each suitcase in case you lose a bag in transit, or pack the stuff for WDW in one bag and cruise stuff in the rest? I guess I didn't organize my bags THAT way at all--just some of everybody's in each bag. Hmm, should make pre-cruise pretty interesting!

Jennifer W,
My DW and I also believe in the minimalist way. We should be able to get a family of 6 into 2 large suitcases and a fold over for the 11 days. This vacation, we believe in the minimal staples of t-shirts and swim suits.
We are also bringing semiformal attire for the formal nights. I do have a couple of Tuxs at home but I just don't want to schlep them to WDW and the cruise for one night of dress up. I find it just so much more important to have pirate garb than a penguin suit:rotfl2: I am bringing a sportcoat and Khakis for formal night and Palo(a must).
The family is really fired up for the trip. The kids won't stop talking about it!! We're airborne in 8 days!!!:cool1:

I am not shocked. In fact, we only do semi-formal for formal night. My guys think dressing up is wearing the black jeans with the work boots. I could NEVER get them in Tuxes.

I'm with you guys on the formal stuff. My DH is like "um, this is supposed to be relaxing, right?". I mean, don't get me wrong we won't show up on formal nite looking like complete trolls :clown: , but we're just not real dress-up kind of people. Hope we don't offend the others who go the whole 9 yards & dress to the hilt :rolleyes1 :confused3 . Oh well, at least we won't be wearing t's & flip flops :lmao: .
I wake up in the night too, worrying about this & that, wondering if I have enough outfits, etc. UGH!!:guilty: . I'm such a tool!

different strokes , ya know. makes no difference to me. I think people should be comfortable with themselves. Hardly ever dress up at home, so that makes it a big deal for me. I am still debating my choice for formal night, either a long dress (yikes is that a gown) or a black jumpsuit http://www.express.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=5178&parentCategoryId=2&categoryId=22&subCategoryId=244

Those shoes sound cute! Hope you feel better. The winter crud is going around here, too, but my family is under strict orders NOT to pick anything up or bring anything home! :rotfl2: I was wondering if I had a sinus infection, too (4 weeks of not feeling well), but now I am good. Can they eventually clear up on their own? I sure wouldn't want to fly like that, though, go antibiotics! :cheer2:

I have several friends who really LIKE to dress up, it's just not me. Good for those of you who like to, though, and there will be a lot of dressing-up people on the ship. I like moderate dressiness, just not formal. I wish I were more comfortable in formals, though, as I do have to do it a few times each year and am just MISERABLE. :sad2:

We are dressing up....Tuxes for all the men(3) and boys (2). My 2 dresses and one pair of shoes cost me $50 total...so I am fired-up about that. One of the dresses I wore to a wedding last february.
Nowadays it is so hit or miss. Almost anything is acceptable for dress these days... Just look at how the young kids are dressing at weddings! (I am talking about the 20-something crowd).
I have cocktail type dresses, not floor length gowns. This will be my only chance to get this decked out this year.....and I kinda like it. But NO nylons or stockings...!! My oldest daughter is wearing flip-flops with her dress.
And yes, I have travel size hot rollers! I take them everywhere. I have had them for about 10 years and use them all the time...I love 'em.
:hyper: :hyper:
ps. i have mini tiaras for my girls....no guns though!!:rotfl2:

We're dressing up too. At least the guys are. Got some $15 tuxes on eBay and DH still has his from our wedding 8 years ago (I hope it fits!). I'm just a sucker for my guys in penguin suits. Too cute!
I got a cocktail dress for like 80% off. There are some good deals out there nowadays. Must stay away from stores....
I don't think any of us will have proper footware. We'll just crop our feet out of all photos.

ALL:
1) DISMEET: Looks like the definitive winner for the DISMeet is Topsiders. Let's meet at 1pm on Sunday, Feb 15 on the outside deck at Topsiders, weather permitting. If weather isn't cooperating, we'll meet inside. Not sure how the logistics of having us all sitting together will work...I guess we'll just take squatters rights on as many tables as we can get. Any ideas??
2) GIFT EXCHANGE: I PMed all participants a copy of all cabin numbers for each group to check info for accuracy. Note that this is NOT the final list. A couple of people have already notified me that they may be changing rooms. I'll give out the real list at the DIS meet. Well, everyone, I hope you all don't mind me sharing my great news with you.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, 2 weeks ago, and almost canceled this cruise.
Today, I received, "the news" that I tested negative for the cancer gene, & therfeore, I will not get a double mastectomy and that the cancer is very small. The lumpectomy will remove all the cancer cells. I can go away with piece of mind, look forward to living a long life. :thumbsup2

I found in "build a bear" tiny green (Irish green in color) little bows. I attached a saftey pin in the back, and will wear it to our meet.
I took extras so if anyone needs one, pm me with you address & I will mail it out to you in the next day or too.

SNOW WHAT: Your daughters are adorable. Better watch out for my little pirates! pirate: pirate:
They can't wait to meet them. I tell Catrina, my oldest, that she will have a new friend on the ship, Max. All of the other kids we are traveling with will have someone with them in kids' club. she is the only one in her age group.
I am way behind on packing. :sad2: Time to start doing laundry at least.
I feel like I have fallen behind too. But I don't like to pack things away until the last minute...I like to see what I have and make sure that I don't forget anything. I cannot cross it off my list until it is in the suitcase. Packing is on the agenda for this weekend. I told my DH that I want to be completely packed on Sunday, suitcases closed (except last minute things like toothbrushes, cell phones & make-up). I want to be prepared to leave in a hurry in the event we get any MORE SNOW:scared1:

I have a question for you seasoned cruisers. We have scheduled the following excursions and wonder if we should do these or just look at the sites on our own.
Skyride to Paradise at St Thomas
Under 2 Flags at St Maarten
Snorkling on Castaway Cay
We have talked with some people who say to go on your own and get a cabbie at port.

Earlier tonight I had my girls working on decorating the (gift bag) fish extenders for our group.....
Wow SO cute!! I couldn't imagine what you were talking about when you said you were getting bags. I should pick one up too, not that it would be decorated as nicely as those though. Totally on my list to do, I have some leftover from our wedding I think, I should get one of those.
DH and I spend an hour dividing up tattoos, magnets, and stickers for all the kids. Adults too. There were a few things I could only get some of, like the magnets so those will have to be shared, one per cabin, but you only have one fridge at home anyway:> Hopefully that’s okay.

OK, I'm hoping to make some serious progress in terms of packing this weekend.
Only thing I have ready are the gifts for the exchange. How come it's easy to do the fun stuff but the packing just doesn't seem to get going?
I have only heard from one person re. corrections on the gift distribution list. If I don't hear from anyone else by tomorrow, I'm going to assume that it is good and I will print these out.
Right now I'm wishing I had more time to get ready. But of course, that's silly, because even if I did I'd still procrastinate 'til the last minute. Only a five more days until we're off to Orlando! :cool1:

Looks like we're bumping up our departure. We were supposed to leave Thursday afternoon. We drive (from the Buffalo area). Thursday's forecast, from home to W. Virginia, looks snowy. Wed is a little rainy but 25 degrees warmer. So, we're now leaving Wed. after dinner. We are going just far enough to get past the snow forecasted for Thursday.
Due to the change, we're spending Friday at the Radison right near the ship. We've never stayed there before but I know lots of people from the DIS have. We're just looking to swim, have dinner and unwind after the car trip.
My countdown just got very small. I have a few details that now need to be taken care of today.

Jess, there is a really great Italian resturant next door to the Raddision. You can walk there. The food was unbelievably great & very reasonably priced.
Accross the street is a McDonalds. When checking in, ask the front desk if they have any sweet upgrades (doesn't hurt to ask) Also ask for a room that faces the magic & you can see from your room.
If you are taking the shuttle, try to get on the first one, ask for the sticker pass for your car for the week.

I am sorry I didn't get to meet more people. we missed the meet, but did run into some people. we had a blast with the gifts. And I agree, some people are so creative! We loved everything. I really liked the bag and the Disney cookies, and the magnets, and I could go on. Everything was great and it was fun checking our bag each day.
I hope everyone's kids enjoyed the tattoos and magnets. I hope there was enough, if anyone was upset or feel like you need another set of a certain tattoos, let me know, and I can mail them. (our gift was the ragu bag of stuff) I hate to have any upset kids, but hopefully they had to much fun to even think about it.
We also came home to snow and sleet. 20 out today, but by Friday in the

just home after missing our flight yesterday:headache: sat at the gate for 6 hours and never heard that they changed it, by the time we ran to it they closed the door:scared1: thank god for vacation club, got a studio at ssr and went back to disney for the night and did the airport all over again today. thankfully airtran was great and just put us on the same flight today and did not charge the fees. lots of meltdowns in the airport today as most flights were overbooked. anyone who did not actually pay for their seats got bumped and i saw a lot of drama. yikes... all the gifties were great thanks to all, loved the clothespin.

That gift was a huge hit with me and my extended family...thanks, minniemousememories.
The cookies looked too good to eat, but they didn't last too long...thanks Dale, del-ish:thumbsup2
I loved all the gifts....thanks again everyone.:yay:
Sorry to hear about all the travel woes. At least you are home safely.
Jodijo, did you get your luggage yet?

Yep, thanks for asking! Good news, it came around 3pm. Bad news, I just couldn't make myself start all the laundry. Oh well, it will still be there tomorrow after work.

Ken and I got to the resort and went to Downtown for about an hour then checked in at the condo and decided to do laundry here. Didn't even go to the park until today, it was very crowded. Back to room about 8:30 and callapsed. Hope to go to Hollywood tomorrow and Epcot Tuesday.
The gift exchange was so much fun. Glad you all enjoyed the bag and cookies. Hope I got the numbers right. It was our first cruise and you all made it so much fun, coming back to the stateroom and checking the FE. My grandkids will love all the goodies, I am sitting here eating the candy right now. Thanks for sharing the fun with us. Now I have to figure out how to do this again soon. And how to change my ticket. Hope to keep in touch with you all and maybe see you again. Sorry about the lousy weather it's 74 in Orlando today Mom said it was about 45 in NC today. Not looking forward to going home to that but can't wait to see my grandkids.

Wow, what a fabulous cruise! And we loved checking our F.E. everyday and finding all of the very generous gifties...such a group of creative  people! I didn't cry leaving the ship, but that was ONLY because we were all still chuckling after seeing Jodi's entire family waving goodbye to everyone in the lobby (including son Eli wearing his super sized Mickey hands!). Thank goodness for them, because otherwise I would have been bawling!
Some things were better on this cruise (meeting fellow DISers, fantastic table mates--Jodi and family :) ), some things were better on our first (mostly just our dining serving staff & having more freedom--adding a 22 month old into the mix changes things a lot!), but the Magic is still the very best place to be, don't you think? I was quite put out this morning when I had to MAKE MY OWN COFFEE! :scared1:
I now totally, totally relate to those commercials Celebrity Cruises had a few years ago. You know, the people--all in a daze in the midst of real life--staring off into space saying things like "I once had a staff who turned down my bed and left my towels folded into delightful shaped animals" or something like that. I am totally there. I have to do 10 MOUNTAINS of laundry today??? I protest! I protest!!! pirate:

OK, where's the "banging head against the wall" smilie when you need it? This one :laundy: , nor this one  can really convey how I'm feeling today. UGH :sad2: I can't feel too sorry for myself, though, as I read about the travel nightmares that some of you endured on your way home. That sucks:scared1: . I'm glad you're all home safe :grouphug: .
Allright, quick everyone, think of the most un-creative gift you got in your FE.....yep, that was mine!:lmao: Seriously, though, where do you guys come up with all the ideas for this stuff?? :worship: Thank you all so much for everything, it definitely added so much fun to each day!
Sorry I didn't get to meet half of you, I feel really bad :sad2: . I got to the meet um, really late I guess! Hey, I though you'd all be hanging out drinking margaritas & such!!popcorn:: I am thankful for those I did get to meet, though  .
And like JenW said, my family had the best table mates!! It was so great spending time with your terrific family, Jen! We miss you guys! Dinner was so boring Saturday night without you all there:guilty: . And I was thinking, GrizzButtJen, how come we didn't just push our tables together??:dance3: :rotfl: I had a great time running with you on Castaway Cay...hopefully we can run a 1/2 or full together some time???:rolleyes1 popcorn::
Allright, I'm done cryin' like a chick....almost! can someone come over & turn down my bed for me tonight? couple chocolates wouldn't hurt, either

We're back home in California. Our last day was great. Other than the fact that I had to serve as the poster child for the "lady who failed in packing" and disembarked in socks (Now, Jodi and Jen W, be honest...did you notice? I tried very hard to hide my feet under the table during breakfast on Saturday :headache:). After getting off the ship (in a record 10 or 15 minutes), we went to Cocoa Beach and then to the Space Center and then caught our flight home with no delays. Baggage made it home with us as well. Other than the fact that it's raining here, my downstairs room is filled with dirty laundry and I still feel like I'm rocking with the ship, we are doing very well.
Had a wonderful time on the cruise! It was so great to meet all of you and I so appreciated all of the wonderful gifts. Highlights of the cruise were touring St. Maarten with John of Bernard's tours (and fellow DISers!....SO sorry my kids were SUCH pains in the you know what:headache: ), 5k on Castaway Cay (and yes, Jodi, we must do a 1/2 marathon sometime and maybe even a run in St Pete ;) ), Megan's Bay (so nice to run into you there PurtyPat!) and just relaxing on the ship. And Jodi, I promise you that you did NOT want to join tables with us for dinner (just ask Chrissy about my kids...I love 'em but, they just are not good at sitting still)
Thanks everyone for making the trip, and planning for the trip, so much fun!
Good luck readjusting back to "real" life. Time to start putting the pennies in the piggy bank now for the next cruise!

I thought your boys were cute. and I thought they were mostly well behaved on our tour. They were pretty chatty, but boys will be boys and I enjoyed meeting them and you guys. It was such a coincidence we were on the same tour. I was glad to be with some I "knew" I though Max was super smart, but it did get pretty quite after he fell asleep. When the tour guide said kids fall asleep after the beach I didn't believe him, but sure enough was sound asleep.
Your DH wanted a copy of a video that my DH shot at the airport, it's not the best, but I can send it. I was going to edit out the first 30 seconds since it's nothing, but you should pm your email and I will get it to you at some point. hopefully soon.
and that's funny about your shoes, I hope you could get them later. My luck I would have packed them all in the checked.
I bet your boys loved the space center.

I sure do miss being rocked to sleep!! I do not miss the coffee on the ship!!! Anyone do the thrill ride on St Thomas? (open air taxi up the steep roads almost falling out!!) :scared1: Trying to figure out if we are going to do the $99 bounceback in the summer or fall. Now that we are spoiled to a seven night cruise it will be hard to go back to the shorter ones.

We also did the thrill ride. I was surprised how crazy our driver drove. I thought he was practicing for nascar.
We are going to try to do the 3 night cruise in November for my birthday - the big 40! However, I am worried that it will be a disappointment after the 7 day cruise. (I will suffer through it if I have too  )

We did the thrill ride as well...and 2 out of 4 kids barfed on the way up. Fortunately we had sand buckets and bags with us...ugh!!! As much as I love being on the ship I don't think I can do a 3 day cruise. The 7 night cruises are over so quickly, I think a 3 day would just make my head spin. If I lived in Florida or was already there visiting perhaps I would do it as a last minute booking.

Got my surgery yesterday, & I think all went well. When I woke up, in recovery, I thought I was still on the Magic rocking, the nurses thought I was crazy.

Oooh, the big one! :woohoo: Loving Disney keeps us young, right?
I wonder how much it would be to book a 4 day right after the 3 day? I think there was a family getting back on the Magic on Saturday. It sure seemed like they had just come through customs and then parked themselves in front of the entrance door and were playing cards. They had no luggage or carry-ons with them and that "just rolled out of bed" kind of look we all were sporting at that awful time of the morning. How fun would THAT be? To do the eastern itinerary and then the western??? Joy of joys! :cool1:

Wow, we just did the taxi ride from the ship to the shopping area in St. Thomas. On the way in we had a regular Amercian sedan ($4 per person), then on the way back we were herded into a van (with a roof, but open sides) like cattle--also $4 per person--and the ride took forever! Plus we got dropped off like as far from the Magic as he could possibly drop us without still being in town! Didn't know how good we had it with the first taxi! I guess I should be thankful with a roof on the second one and no hills. Did you all take a tour of the island, or what? Or maybe that's why the trip back took so long, he was avoiding hills? Corners were still kind of dicey with a baby on the lap, though. Sheesh! :scared1:

Patty--
How are you feeling? I have been thinking about you. Glad the surgery is over and you are feeling up to e-mailing.
Yes, there was not enough time to get to know people on the ship. We should've had cocktail hour everyday! With someone offering free babysitting for those of us with little ones. :upsidedow
I did not make it one single day for walking! What a slug!!! I just couldn't roll myself out of bed that early. I would lay there deathly afraid of waking the baby, thinking "you should get up and go walk," but seriously--any movement or noise past 5:30 a.m. and the kid was WIDE AWAKE. :scared1: Combined with the fact that he was not really napping all week, and I just couldn't make myself chance it.
Who's planning on cruising President's Week in 2 years?
Hey fellow cruising Peeps!!
Patty - SO happy that your surgery went well :grouphug: , I'll be sending good vibes your way :goodvibes And you're right, none of us got to spend enough time together! I'm with Jen, next time we have to do at least 3 Happy Hours on board!:dance3: popcorn::
Hi Jen - What's up there in MN? Any snow yet? You'd have never guessed that Luke didn't nap during the day, he was such a little gentleman @ every dinner:lovestruc , what a cutie! I've got the best shot of him with his pirate costume on, I'll have to send it.
We booked next year's Presidents Week, but doubt that we'll go on that particular cruise. I've been pricing out the 12 night Baltic cruises in the summer of '10, but MAN they're expensive. The most likely scenario is sneaking in a $99 3 day @ the end of the summer (hopefully preceded by 3 nights or so of a FREE DINING stay @ Disney), then the 2011 Presiden't Week cruise. I just don't think we'll be able to swing the European gig!:sad1:

That bounce back promo looks very tempting, but 3 days, ugh, not long enough. As soon as you settle in, you'll need to have your luggage packed and outside your cabin door! Also, I am so afraid to travel by sea that time of year, being hurricane season and all....
Wednesday night on the ship, we had ressies at Palo and I could hardly eat a thing because I felt sea sick. NO way would I risk sailing during hurricane season. Good luck to all of you who are planning to do the $99 promo...it does sound awesome.
I would love to do it again next year, but I am going to wait until the girls are a little bit older...

Just got back today after our extended vacation! I can barely remember all of the days on the cruise! Seems so far away already! I agree a happy hour each day would have been great! We weren't quite settled in to our routine yet to stay long enough to meet everyone at the meet! So glad that I was able to meet the ones that I did! Thank you so much Snow What for coming and introducing yourself at dinner! Jen, loved running into you and chit chatting with someone that I "knew." I made it up to deck 4 during walking time and sat and drank my coffee while watching grizzbuzz run by and by and by. Once again, thank you all who participated in the gift exchange! My kids LOVED it! Me too! Are you kidding with me with the amt of stuff and any complaining about not enough?!!?? You all spoiled us! Truly magical! :wizard: My favorite part of the trip was running up to the sail away celebration late and ending up right outside of the door with all of the characters waiting to go on stage!

I am so glad my DH told me that he bumped into you in the hall delivering your awesome clothespins!!

We got home about 6 tonight. Ken and I want to thank all of you for a wonderful experience. Wish we had spent more time with all of you. The Gift Exchange was so much fun looking to see what was next. The grandkids will love the stickers and magnets. Daughter has already claimed the clothes pin. I may have to hide the frame and the candy was a great snack on the way home.
Pat glad to hear it went well. I have been having internet trouble at the condo a couple of days. My email is daleh@carolina.rr.com. I will send you a pic of you and Bill at Palo's.
Only think I hated was when we got to the park it was crowded, it's Mardi Gras in New Orleans and I think everyone from Louisiana came to WDW. Biggest crowds I have seen in years.
Snow What I love the idea of doing a scrapbook about the trip. It will be a grand souviner. We did the photopass cd and memory book at WDW and I plan to include mostly cruise photos. But I need some rest first so that can wait till next week. Thanks again for including us in the fun.

Is that the buzz? They're going to start booking the new ships in late fall for when, do you suppose? The bounceback would be REALLY enticing for summer's end if there was free dining and we could drive from MN and save on the airfare. When do they usually announce the free dining?

Well gang we got our first real snow in several years in Shelby, North Carolina. I woke to 8.5 inches of snow this morning it is beautiful. The Kids are having a ball. Now only that but their Daddy is back from Korea. We were headed to the airport about 8 last night and they closed the roads. So we thought he would have to spend the night in the airport, but he had a friend on the net that drove 20 miles to the airport and then brought him home, another 50 miles. They left Charlotte at 1am and arrived here at 4:45. The friend headed back home and got stuck for 3 hours anout 4 miles from our house. What a day. Talk to you all later.

Temperatures didn't get above freezing today and the same for tomorrow. I work in down town Boston and the wind is aweful there...wind chills in the single digits...
at least your snow will melt before our snow... Of course, it didn't snow while we were away, it kindly waited for us to return!

We are bouncing back October 22. When I called DCL they told me that there weren't any black out dates. I am hoping that is true! I can't believe how crazy we are being going back!!!! $99 really means $600 for all of use PLUS at least $1200 plane fair PLUS transfers PLUS sneaking a day in at the park PLUD the hotel stay to do that!
all for ONLY $99!!!

My travel agent called yesterday as well and you are correct. They are not going to black out any cruises. However, they did say that they are going to limit the number or bounce back offers per cruise. Good luck everyone!!!
I too was looking at going to the parks after our cruise. It is going to add up to a lot more than $99 per person. (The way I look at it, the $99 offer is a good way to convince DH we should take another trip! I mean - How could we pass it up? I just wont show him the finial total! ;) )

Oh my goodness!!! When can we book the bouncebacks? I mean what day do they open it? I thought it was in April. Did I miss the boat already??? :rotfl2: You know what I mean....
Or are you guys booking ahead and then hoping to transfer it? And can that be done?
Teach me your ways, oh wise ones! :yoda:

I emailed my travel agent and here is her response:
"I called DCL and the answer the representative gave me was the safe Disney answer. You can book now, but the $99 offer will have limited staterooms on each sailing so there's no guarantee that your rooms will be available when the offer is released on April 6.
However, the way I look at it, the worst that can happen is that you book and pay the deposit now and lock in the rooms you'd like (the voucher is good for the same category you booked on the original cruise) and if the rooms are not available with the offer you can either move your deposit to another date or be refunded if there are no other dates that would work for you. Of course, if you'd prefer to wait until April 6 we can do that as well!"
With that response, we booked! Hope this helps!

What a month Back!
Got Home on the 25th, Then the 1st of March while waiting on DD's Hubby to get back from Korea we had 8 1/2 inches of snow. Had to leave him at Airport could not get there. He gets a friend to bring him home takes 3 1/2 Hrs to drive 50 miles. Then on the 8th the water heater bursts and had to have American Restoration here to dry out the house. Plumber found a problem with the water pressure regulator 105 psi when it should be 55 psi. so $ 1200 later. On the 9th DD and Son in law left to find a house in Texas for a week , so Ken and I had 3 kids here for a week by ourselves. In the mean time we found out our dog had to have surgery today so she is still at the vet but no cancer thankfully. The insurance company only will pay for the laundry room. So we had to pay for reflooring the kitchen and bathroom that need to be replaced too. Yesterday we moved everything out of the kitchen into the Livingroom and dining room. What a mess. My Brother in law can put down porceline tile so today we started preparing to put tile in my Kitchen Bath and Laundry room. It will take us about 2 weeks since we are trying to live in the house while fixing everything. I am not a carpenter but learning to use a drill since backer board needs a screw every 6 to 8 inches. So I will learn, Ken can't get down on his knees so it is up to Brother in law and me..... this should be interesting but it will look nice when done.
Talk to you all when I can. Hope everyone is warming up and getting ready for spring
