Booking Question - Help Needed Please

I was wondering if I book my room now for October and pay for it or most of it and they come up with a special, would I be able to get the better deal if I have already booked and paid at regular rate?

Provided that the availability you want with the "deal" is there, there's no problem in transferring over $$$ from one ressie to another. Sometimes you have to ask for someone to do this for you, as I'm not sure all CMs are fluent in this process. :confused3 And as Cdn's, you don't want them to cancel and credit your CC and then re-charge the new because we lose out a few percentage points on the exchange ... ie. you pay a higher exchange/fee for purchases than you are credited on a refund. And if you're booking a room only, you can cancel up until 5 days prior to your check-in with no penalty. :)

My DSis has even been able to transfer her deposit from her room ressie over to mine when she had to cancel a trip, so it certainly CAN be done. You just need to make sure you have a competent CM on the line. :rotfl:

Firstly, I would call and ask. October is prime time for deals!! But usually only until 2nd week of October. I know that last year we had booked and I found out that they had upgraded the passed to include hopper and plau options for free and we had only bought basic. They upgraded them no questions asked when I called. Usually Sept/early Oct is dining for free so you might want to ask a CM now what their policy is. Anywasy, for a deal like that, you cancel your exisitng and book another - who cares about the few dollars you lose on exchange!

I actually use my Paypal Mastercard/debit card which is in U.S dollars so wouldn't end up losing :thumbsup2
I pay for my trip from all the goodies I sell on Ebay and pay it off a little bit at a time.
