Hi.

I am trying to plan a trip to WDW for February of 2002. I am undecided as to whether to stay on property or off. Price is a big determinant.

How do I use Priceline to get a hotel near WDW. If I do 4*, what will I get for how much (approximately)??

When should I attempt Priceline for next February? If I don't get something I like, can I cancel the reservations? Do they require a deposit before they accept your bid and give you a price?

Thanks for any help. I am truely confused.

Karen

If you make a bid on priceline and your bid is accepted it is all yours. The charges are applied to your CC as soon as the bid is accepted. No cancellation policies. Now I have used it twice. First time I bid $70 in a 4 star for New years eve and got Marriot Orlando world centre. It is a very nice hotel. The 4 stars also seem to include the Swan, Dolphin, and Wyndom place. Now I just used it for friends of mine and bid in the 2 1/2 star and got Courtyard by marriot at Little Lake Byron. They paid $25 per night and loved it. One mile from Disney and it just opened in the fall so very clean looking. It is a great system, you just have to be 100% sure of your vacation. As far as how far to bid ahead I did it 4 months my first time and 3 weeks for my friends. I think you are a little early for Feb

I've seen people on here get 4*'s for $32, during off season. Keep in mind you can bid every 7 days. So, I'd keep trying for the 4 stars. I usually bid in my name and then in my husbands. Good Luck!
