Ok -- Jessica motivated me to work on our Christmas card... this is what I came up with.... I had to use the formal pic from the cruise because God only knows when we will look that "fancy" again -- LOL!! Back to jeans and sweaters in front of the Christmas tree next year! :)

Thanks Melissa. :) I really wish I had a better camera years ago for skating events! My pics would print out fine, but they are low megapixels, so they don't work as well for digi scrapping. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. :) Once again I chicked out of bringing my camera. *sigh* I made my cousin-in-law take a few pics though. She had all the kids decorating their own cookies, and it was SO cute, I said, you have to take pics, lol. I could just picture the LO. :P Ooh, and I also found out she, her mom, and her aunt all LOVE Disney! I was showing them my pics on the Photopass site, but I have to email her a bunch more stuff (like the DIS & my scrapbook pages she wants to see.) They're going in January, I wonder if it'll be around the time you're there, Melissa? :) It was a great Thanksgiving for me, most of the time I was talking with my cousin about the Phils & the World Series (he was in the 6th row for the clinching game, boo ;)), and the rest of the time I was talking Disney. What else is there? :goodvibes

I commented on most of the recent LOs at SM just now, but I think I still have a few more to do. Gorgeous LOs, as always! The Speed Scrap LOs don't even look like SS, they are so awesome! I couldn't even get into SM to participate in the Speed Scrap. Figures, the first one I can attend in months, and I can't even get on the site!

I bought *way* too much digi stuff yesterday, lol. I'd never bought anywhere other than SM, so I kind of had a lot of things I loved built up for months. I did damage at SSD! I was worried I wouldn't get into SM by the time the 40% sale ended, but thankfully I got in around midnight, finally!

Melissa - LYL at SM -- but just wanted to say I am IN LOVE with your Gift of Friendship LO.... Can someone give me advice on how to make my shadows look good on dark (especially black) paper? Yours look great Melissa....

Britt had a great tip in the SM newsletter (I think? I read so much, I forget where everything comes from, lol!) On dark paper, use Linear Burn instead of Multiply. I've been doing this ever since I first read her tip, and it makes a HUGE difference!

wenrob

So fabulous ladies! To think I almost didn't join the DIS. Think of the talent and wonderful people I would have missed!

Christy, I used Misty Cato, Britt, Tracy Ann, Nit Wits and Melissa Bennett. I'm an eclectic scrapper, lol.

For shadows on dark paper I use a medium/light gray or if say I'm using dark purple paper I'll use lavender. All my shadows I use multiply as my blend to darken them up a bit. So far it seems to work alright. Black and white papers, I have the most trouble with.

wenrob
11-29-2008, 09:04 AM
Heather, I tried the burn blend on my Christmas card. I liked it on the little whispy sprig things but it looked weird on the green paper. It's something I'm going to have to play with. Every time I think I have my method down, it evolves a little more, lol!

Arghhhhh, SM is soooooo slooooow, it's driving me crazy, I want to play with my new goodies. It took me HOURS to download Britt and JenLin's bags. I still have the collab and Britt's Xmas kit to go. I started the collab five minutes ago and I'm at 1%.:sad1:

SM was the only place I shopped yesterday. I wiped out Sweet Shop on Scrapbooking Day. I really, really wanted to shop there since sales are so far and few between there but I have all I wanted.

Christy,

To answer your question about the shadows, I used Linear Burn instead of Multiply. Britt originally gave the tip in the chat room during one of the speed scraps. It works really well on dark backgrounds. Though with the linear burn you might have to adjust some of the other settings because sometimes it seems too dark.

Here are two more I did for challenges at SM.

Scalloped Corn - This is an old family recipe. We have it every holiday. I didn't see that there were additional rules for the recipe challenge and didn't have time to redo it. Oh well. I liked how it turned out.

LOL! I definitely do not have shop... but some of us who use SBC+ share templates over in that thread... since we can't use PSE templates.... You have to scrap in that software to use them -- otherwise I'd share with everyone if I could.... Thanks for the nice compliment though.

Hello Ladies
I wanted to ask for help on the shadows. There have been a couple recent posts about using shadows (besides the default that I normally use) I found Britt's tut in the SM newsletter. There is also a tut in a recent SM team blog about color and direction. I would love to try these out, but I have a am having problems trying th linear burn. When I try to apply it to the shadow, my element changes. Am I supposed to put the shadow in a separate layer? If so, how do I do that? I have PSE 6; perhaps I would need something more sophisticated to play with the linear burn. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

wenrob
12-02-2008, 10:35 AM
I don't use PSE but when you go to do your shadow when the dialog box pops up for what you want to do there should be a box somewhere that says "shadow on a separate layer" or something to that effect. I'm pretty sure you can shadow separate is PSE.... If you can't, a way to do it would be duplicate your object, shadow it and place the original right on top of it. (just switch the layers so your original is on top of the duplicate)As long as you don't move(adjusting layer position shouldn't affect this) or resize either layer they should line up right. I hope that made sense.

Thanks Wen
I don't see where to add shadows in a separate layer, so I tried your other suggestion about duplicating the layer and applying the shadow to the duplicated layer. Then I add linear burn to the duplicated layer, but I don't really notice a difference in the shadow. I'll keep fiddling with it. Thanks!

wenrob
12-02-2008, 11:16 AM
Is there a way to change the blend mode on that shadow only? Click on the tabs in your shadow box. There should be a layers properties box somewhere I would think. Search your tabs and/or buttons when that box pops up when you're doing your shadows. If you post a screen shot of your shadow dialog box I could try and help you figure it.
Thanks Wen

Then I add linear burn to the duplicated layer, but I don't really notice a difference in the shadow. I'll keep fiddling with it. Thanks!

Here Suzi try this! This looks like it will solve the issue for you. Kind of like I suggested but a little more in depth. Follow the tut and then change your blend mode to "burn." Actually I will suggest playing w/different blend modes until you get one you like. If you need any help with the tut, let me know.

Christy-Fab kit for those pictures, awesome LO!

Melissa-Just wonderful! Love the lights going through the title. Yet another idea to borrow from you!

I've only got one LO done this week and I still have to tweak it a little bit. I sent it to Britt with only 5min to spare, lol!

Super cute Melissa -- that will make a great QP... Here's one more from me... Am I a total sick-o if I actually bought DD's dress to match this kit??? :) I have a "thing" for pink Chistmas decor.. I saw the word art in one of the kits I got on BF, and I instantly knew I had to use it and make this LO. Do you think the top pic is too dark? My laptop's screen is brighter than my desktop. I did this LO on my laptop, but on my desktop, it seems dark.

I have at least 4 more Phils playoff LOs I want to do. I'd really like to finish them soon because I would love to get a book printed with these LO for my dad's bday, which is early in Jan.

Wonderful layouts everyone; I haven't gotten much done lately.

Christy too funny about the dress. I've decided it's good my girls are no longer little or willing to wear what I like or I'd be doing the same type of things.

Melissa That has to one of the best pet pictures ever and so sweetly done. I've got a new puppy and I'm trying to get a picture but it's hard to get him still long enough.

Thanks for the compliments! I was so surprised to get that picture of Cassie. I couldn't even see what I was getting a picture of because of how she was laying on my lap. She is such a sweetie! She spent over an hour and half laying next to me tonight while I was doing the Speed Scrap at SM. She was trying to push me off the couch! LOL Silly kitten.

Here is the layout I did for the Speed Scrap. I almost gave up when Bree posted the last instruction, but my sister put on her Christmas CD and I found a lyric to work with what I had done. I wish that instruction would have come sooner so that I could have used a photo with a song in mind. Oh well, I think it turned out really cute.

Do you guys think this needs embellishments? If so what?:confused3 Part of me likes it just fine like this and the other part thinks it needs something.

Very loving LO with your children Wen. I vote for leaving it how it is. The photos are really what this LO is all about, and the word art enchances it. I don't think it needs anything else. Would it make a difference to move the whole thing (except the background paper) a little down and a little to the left so it is somewhat off center?
Embellishments are my weakness though so perhaps someone else can comment.

Quick question for you all..
Has anyone used their digiscrap stash to make any Christmas gifts yet this year?? If so, what? (Other than cards..) I am trying to think creative, since budget is tight..

Thank you Suzi! The more I look at it, the more I think I will leave it alone. One of the girls over at DST put some eyes on DS for me and it looks okay but I think I'm going to leave that as is too.

Hey, did you ever try that shadow tut?

Caits (I know I know your real name but I'm drawing a blank) I just bought some good matt photo paper and am going to do a Christmasy LO of our family and buy some 5$ frames at Walmart. I plan to scrap it 12x12, size it down to 8x8 and put some kind of border on the excess. I'll let you know how it comes out.

Wen -- I love the LO the way it is -- my eyes go right to your adorable kids.
Caits -- Wish I could help you out -- hybrid isn't my strong suit -- and my home printer stinks... I've seen some adorable hybrid stuff around though... check out the hybrid gallery over at SM -- some of those gals are REALLY talented. Cute idea to frame a LO Wen -- I picked up a couple of the 12x12 fames when they were on sale last week at Michaels... I haven't decided what I am going to put in them...

We hung our lights (finally) this weekend.... The kids are loving all of the decorations and Christmas "cheer" this year...

Hey, did you ever try that shadow tut?

Thanks for asking Wen. Yes I did try it (from scrap girls) It was very helpful! and pretty easy. Just duplicate your element, make it a few shades darker than the background paper, move it to where you want the shadow to be, blur it, and you have a custom shadow! One more question though, how do I incorporate what you were talking about earlier (the linear burn, multiple burn)? Do I just add the burn to my duplicated element?

Happy Scrap Girl has a great shadowing tut on creating a shadow when your background paper is multi-colored http://happyscrapgirl.blogspot.com/2007/08/own-your-own-shadow.html You have to scroll down to #4

Melissa and Christy -- great LOs as always! Such cute pictures of the cats!

I have been silently admiring everyone's LO's over the past week...my nice way of saying I was lurking! :goodvibes The LO's have been amazing this past week. I really LOVE looking at everything and getting inspiration.

Here is a LO I just finished for my niece's book. I don't really like it, but I am trying to finish this up and get it printed before Christmas (ambitious, I know). I feel like all I am doing for their book is cramming pics on a page, but I want them to look at it and remember all the fun we had since they will probably never go back unless we take them again. :sad2: Anyways, here ya go with my LO I don't care for!

Kelli-I think your LO is beautiful, I especially love your title work!

Heather-Perfect kit for that page. I love the whole feel of the LO!

Melissa-Wonderful LO's, such cute kitties!

Suzi-In your layers pallet you should be able to change your blend modes. Just change your shadow layers to burn or multiply.

*phew* Hope I didn't miss anybody!

Here's my latest. When I was still pg w/the little ones Tiana and I bought the gingerbread ornament at the mall. The next year I picked up that tree and decided to put our names on it. Next thing you know a tradition was born. I've saved a space for this years.

kellig -- you didn't cram too many pics on a page -- you gotta keep all the princesses together! It looks great! Your niece will love it!

Heather -- your pictures are postcard perfect! I like how you did your journaling on the bamboo.

Wen -- Stunning tree! I love the extration/blending/glowing effects!

Suzi-In your layers pallet you should be able to change your blend modes. Just change your shadow layers to burn or multiply.

Thanks for your help with this Wen. Using the linear burn/multiply makes an amazing difference! I was surprised and impressed! However, I don't know if I can duplicate every element, photo, frame, alpha, paper, etc on every LO to get this effect of shadows. Maybe just on special LOs (aren't they all special) Maybe one day, I'll upgrade my photoshop elements. But thanks again for your help and patience.

Really great pages everyone; I've been falling behind busy and bad cold just don't mix. Hopefully I'll have some time soon.

Part of what is keeping me busy is on this page. :) Journaling reads I’d been watching petfinder for an addition to our family and thought “Peanut” would be perfect. I visited the pound before the eligible adoption day to make sure and found a very sweet puppy that wiggled with delight at the attention and loved to be scratched. I made sure I was very early the next day so I was had first adoption choice. There were a few surprises; first that he was not a girl as posted and also the vet placed his age at about 4mths a bit younger. I couldn’t get him a groomer appointment right away so Sam & I cut off the worst of the mess and gave him a bath; helped some with the smell but the real transformation happened with a groomer trip the next week, He emerged a very handsome fellow without any residual pound smells. He is a very loving puppy, his favorite things are lap snuggle time, playing ball and wrestling with his big puppy brother Lyo. Our oldest puppy Tyler is still not sure of the new addition but is slowly coming around.

Hello everyone. I'm Sheri from Georgia. I am huge Disney fan and have been a traditional scrapbooker for several years and have recently received my very first laptop (I know I am a little behind). I'm very intrigued by learning digital and would love to be a part of a group for inspiration and sharing. I have not quite learned all the rules for posting and was unable to start a new thread. I made 10 posts in the "test" thread but was still unable to do anything. Can anyone help?

Go, you!! If anyone else wants the blank templates, the link is in the SBC+ thread and I'm going to post them on my blog, too. They are free templates, but they only work in SBC+.

Heather - I totally think your Princess Storybook LO is better than mine. :) Great job! Your Phillies LO's are a great memory too!
Michelle - Way to get those calendar pages knocked out! How exciting!
Janette - I love your new dog LO. That is such a fun and exciting memory!
Christy - I am totally lifting that LO!

Hmmm... I'm not sure how many posts you have to have to be able to start a thread.... But WELCOME to our little group!! Feel free to post in this thread until you are able to start your own... we post all kinds of stuff in this one. Also feel free to ask any questions -- everyone here is really helpful and friendly. :)

Melissa -- That is a super sharp LO... Really love the sleek lines and that alpha is just perfection. Fantastic journaling too!!

Christy,
Thanks for welcoming me to the group. I have really enjoyed admiring all of the work posted on this thread. I am a true Disney fan at heart and really love seeing the Disney inspired layouts. Once I learn how to attach a layout I will begin to share my progress (which I'm still learning my program and I am still at a true beginner's level). Britt introduced me to this thread and showed me where the "test" thread is to practice posting and attaching images, thanks Britt! :goodvibes

Ceeliebell: Look at you! You're on your way! That turned out great :thumbsup2

Christy: I love your Oh Christmas Tree LO. I think you need to come help me with my tree. In my mind I want it to look like yours, but in reality something is off with the thing. I've decided my DH's star placement is the problem!

Wen: I think I'm going to have to lift your lift! That came out great!

Melissa: I've been talking to my cat about how nice your cats are to be in your LOs, even wearing Santa hats. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure she gave me her, yeah, fat chance look. :rotfl:

So I am very late to start thinking about sending Christmas cards. I am usually so prepared. I know there are some really fantastic digital card templates out there. Disney inspired would be awesome but its not a requirement. At this point, I would love to find one where I just plop my pictures in and run to the printer to get prints. Anyone who has come across something like this, please, please let me know. I will be searching today as well. :surfweb: :surfweb:

Christy-Gorgeous stuff! I especially like your tree LO. Your tree makes mine look woefully naked though, lol!

Hi y'all!

I finally got my Christmas kit done so I find myself with a bit of extra time on my hands this morning and thought I'd pop over here and get inspired by some great layouts. Of course, y'all certainly didn't disappoint.

Christy that tree of yours is beautiful, but I think my favorite layout is the polka dot one. Great idea to include some text from the book. I still remember some of the stories we read (incessantly) when my kids were younger. Fondly remember them now, of course, now that I'm not having to read about "are you my mother" every single day of my life! LOL

Ceeliebell, that's your first digital? Wow! Great LO! You've got some natural talent there, girl! Looks great!!

Fran, as usual, your LO is phenomenal... I love the little flower peeking out from the background paper. It's details like that that really set your LOs apart, IMO.

Thanks y'all for making sure even us infrequent posters have some beautiful pretties to look at!

I just need to vent, and I know you guys would get my anger (since pictures are the heart of what we do.

The first two times I used photopass (Oct '07 & Mar '08), I didn't have any problems. The CDs came within a week of ordering, everything was fantastic. This time, it's been problems all over the place. First, some of my magic pictures didn't have the characters in them. That was corrected, but it was the first time I ever had a problem with them, and I guess it should have signaled that it wouldn't be the last. When I ordered, I never received my order. I emailed them after almost two weeks, and they said it could take up to 14 business days, and they said I had to wait until then (27 days after my order, 28 because the day they said it would arrive on Thanksgiving) until I could email them back. Finally the day after Thanksgiving I emailed them that I still didn't receive the CDs. A few days later, they sent me an email saying "Once the entire order has been successfully created and tested for quality control, we will ship it to you at no additional charge." I was a tad annoyed by the "no additional charge" comment, since it wasn't my fault in the first place, no charge should be obvious.

I got a tracking notice a few days after that (which I never did the first time, so I think it was never sent.) I finally got the CDs on Dec 8 (I ordered on Nov 9.) I have 5 CDs. The first copied to my computer fine, but the next two I tried are both corrupted. I never even heard of the error before (cannot copy image because of "cyclic redundancy check"), and when I looked it up, it said it was caused by problems when burning the CD. Tested for quality control, right. I emailed them to resend the CDs, and got an email form letter back that they will email me in 5 business days.

They finally emailed me, with a stock appology, and went through the same thing about checking for quality control, etc, before sending. I received them today (again, I got a tracking notice.) I put in the first CD that was a problem last time, and guess what. The SAME problem. I went in Sept, and it's almost Christmas, and I still don't have all my pictures.

I'm alternating between being so upset I could cry, and so livid I want to throw my computer against the wall. I need to go through this *again*!? They don't even have anyway to contact a human being. By calling all you get is a voice mail, and with the emails, I've seen throughout this process that all you get is stock answers. It furiates me because I recommend the Photopass CD to so many people.

OK, off to go see if the other CD is any better.

I was just going to suggest the same thing, check them in another computer. I had a bunch of back up disks that I thought were bad because some worked and some didn't. Took them to DH's computer and they all worked fine. I rebooted my computer and then they worked.:confused3 Technology is so awesome and such a pain all at once!
I hope you can get them Hon! Weeks to get them are inexcusable. Can you try a basic Disney customer service number and explain to them? I've had to do that for a couple of things and once I got a live person it was so much easier. Just ask them to hear you out before transferring you, usually if that will do the trick.

I have an update. :) I did try them in my laptop, and there were problems, but with different pics (!?) Between the 2 CDs & 2 computers, I was able to stitch the full CD together, I think. Most of the CD did work on my laptop, really weird. Maybe it was the venting that helped, lol. I make all kinds of combinations with the borders (I make the pics go from over 200 to almost 2000), so obviously I spend *forever* on them, and then to have all these problems, I was going a bit insane. Thanks so much for the support Michelle, Wen, Melissa, and Lauren. :) Now there's lots more things I can scrap. :D

Wen-I saw the Vegas snow on the news! Along with San Diego, Malibu, crazy!! That's such a pretty LO!

Hi all!! Loving these recent LOs! We just got back from Disneyland... Had a GREAT time. The weather was great on Saturday and Sunday, and there were moderate crowds. On Monday it was yucky and rainy, but the trade off was -- NO LINES... So I took my son and nephew and we went crazy riding everything we wanted to over and over again. LOL!! I finally dragged them back to the hotel last night after we made 4 trips on the Grizzly River Rapids. We were soaked to the bone and were turning into posicles -- LOL!! But I did get the "cool mother and aunt award" for that though! Everyone have a wonderful Christmas! {{HUGS}} :goodvibes

I forgot to post my latest. DS shrank back and tucked his head when he saw Santa but when DH took him out of the stroller he ran to Santa w/his arms up. It was truly one of those magical, surprising moments.

Hey Digi Friends,
have any of your heard of Project 365? I read about it on Ikea Goddess's blog. Apparantly, you take a picture a day. It sounds like a great idea, but I know I can't scrap a page a day; I will get sooo behind. Anyone thinking of doing this? Or has anyone seen a great template where you can put a months worth of pics on a 1-2 page LO?
I think I may try to do this, but I have a strange feeling I won't make it past the first month.

wenrob
12-30-2008, 08:29 PM
Suzi, I've seen people do the 365 and do weekly or monthly LO's, numbering the pics and writing a brief thing about each picture. You can probably pick up quit of few templtes w/multipal places for pics right now w/all the year in reviews coming out. I take pics almost every day but I suck at challenges, it goes against the rebel in me!:lmao:

Ceelie-Beautiful LO! Love all the stitching and your composition.

Just wanted to say thank you again for all of your thoughts and wishes. You ladies are a great group of people!

I am going to try it! You can do it Suzi!!! It took me over an hour, but I left love for everyone's Speed Scrap LO. Fun, but, phew!

I'm behind in posting LOs again! Good news is, I've finished my Phils playoff album! Yay!! :) I sent it off to get printed yesterday (2 copies, I'm hoping to get it in time for my dad's bday on the 6th. If not, he's getting an IOU!) There's several LOs I haven't uploaded yet, mostly because they are just pics & journaling. I'm sure I'm boring people enough with all these LOs, so I guess those would just be doubly boring to everyone but me. :P Here are the ones I have uploaded. Click for credits:

This one isn't clickable, not on SM yet (same credits as part 2, though) - World Series Game 5 (Part 1), it's opposite the page of the next LO, so I thought I'd post it here :)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/kswm30b/scrap/phils_ws5p1_600.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/kswm30b/scrap/phils_ws5p2_600_site.jpg (http://www.scrapmatters.com/gallery3/showphoto.php/photo/18546)

This is the first page in the book:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/kswm30b/scrap/phils_opendaysign600.jpg (http://www.scrapmatters.com/gallery3/showphoto.php/photo/17830)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/kswm30b/scrap/phils_trophypic_site.jpg (http://www.scrapmatters.com/gallery3/showphoto.php/photo/17663)

If anyone is interested in the full album, I have it in order here:
http://heatherw.com/other/gallery/v/other/scrapbook/digi/phils08

OK, onto other LOs!

This was tonight's Speed Scrap. First one in months, I'm so rusty! I planned to scrap these pics, but I don't know how happy I am with the LO. I think I'd rather have the paper that's the paper strip be the background paper, and I have more journaling I want to add, so I might play around with it. I think it was Britt that mentioned in a comment about my jersey. I've been a fan of Cole's (who was the World Series MVP, btw! :)) since he was in the minors. When he was called up, they didn't even have any merchandise with his name on it yet, so I had his name added to this jersey that I had wanted to buy for ages. I actually got to tell him that during this meeting, he seemed really interested (see why I have to add more journaling!! There was more to the conversation, too!)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/kswm30b/scrap/cole_als600_site.jpg (http://www.scrapmatters.com/gallery3/showphoto.php/photo/18850)

Disney LOs now. You can stop scrolling. :P

I thought the snow border from Britt's latest kit worked perfectly as powdered sugar here instead. The title is sparkly, too, but it's hard to see that on the web version.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/kswm30b/scrap/fq_beignets600.jpg (http://www.scrapmatters.com/gallery3/showphoto.php/photo/18774)

I knew I wanted a fuzzy alpha for the title, I was looking at some actions I had, thought I might have to go that route, and then I found I had this alpha! It was SO perfect! And it's even fuzzier in the full version. ;)

Ceeliebell, Cruisecrzy, Pam, Melissa, Christy, Jessica, and Heather!! Wow! I can't believe all these awesome LOs since I posted last. It was amazing to see all these!

Melissa Check out Ikea Goddess from Tuesday. There is a freebee word art about pets. I thought of you when I saw that.

Christy I will check out that link on scrap matters. I am going to try it so I'll definately need to hear how you are doing so that I can keep going to. Except I think I am going to cheat and put an entire month on 1-2 pages leaving little room for embellishments. Otherwise, it will never happen. I also have to remember to not make every picture of DD or DS!

One more thing:
Traci Reed from Sweet Shoppe is having a 50% off sale if you purchase at least $10. Her clearance items are an additional 50% off. Check out her CT blog to get the code http://tracireed.com/teamblog

Heather-You're on a tear girl! Love all the strips, you have such great style!

raestr-Have a look at the freebies on Britt's Blog, you're sure to find something you like.

Here is my latest. We didn't get a pic of Breelyn w/Santa by herself because we thought she might get afraid if we took William down and left her there. So her page has the two of them on it. I did it in the same colors as William's so I can put them next to each other in the scrapbook. It's rare I do that, let alone use one kit exclusively.

Thanks, I'll take another look at the SM thread. I found this template on Digitreats
http://digitreats.typepad.com/creativeteam/2008/12/january-2009-template.html
I hope the link works. She is actually doing a year-in-review with the template, and has journaled on some of the dates, but I thought it would work well for a picture-a-day LO as well (if you want to put an entire month of pics on one LO like lazy me wants to do!)
The template is a freebee and I assume she will be having templates for the rest of the months as the year progresses(?)

Anyone have any favorites they want to recommend. I think I am going to spend the next two days looking at all her stuff.....there is so much stuff to look at.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Traci Reed ... actually I always buy her stuff at Sweet Shoppe and didn't even realize she had her own Boutique.... I have Sunshine and Playtime and Wish on a Rainbow and Build a Dream and LOVE them.... I think I am going to buy East Meets West also-- it's so cute and would be great for Epcot (if I ever get back there -- LOL!). I also have the Foamy Stampy Bundle alphas and use them all the time. She does a good job on her stitches too, so i think I am going to pick up the Bad Sweing Machine Basics and maybe the Bad Sewing Machine II Round and Round.... I have other stuff that I have bougt at SSD, but I don't see it on her site... Have fun shopping :):)

Thanks Christy. I already had the stitches sets in my cart. I missed that Sunshine and Playtime so thanks for telling me about it. I had been looking at the East meets West....it is so original looking to me.

Does anyone know of any really good wedding kits for download or purchase? I'm having a hard time finding some.

Britt (Britt-ish Designs) has an awesome wedding kit called "Just Married" and the image below is linked to her store.

Traci Reed from Sweet Shoppe is having a 50% off sale if you purchase at least $10. Her clearance items are an additional 50% off. Check out her CT blog to get the code http://tracireed.com/teamblog

Thanks for that information! I got "East meets West." It is so cute and perfect for EPCOT! :)

I just realized this (and perhaps you already know) but you have to buy the stuff through her boutique and not through Sweet Shoppe; you also need to use the code; plus, your order needs to be at least $10 for the 50% off to apply (this part is not hard!) I noticed that not all her stuff is in the boutique.
Christy -- thanks for the suggestions! I already put foamy stamp alpha on my list because I have seen it in several of your LOs. I am also going to get Wish on a Rainbow and probably just the Build a Dream Alpha rather than the kit. I am also going to check out the clearance alpha.

Thanks for that information! I got "East meets West." It is so cute and perfect for EPCOT! :)
You're welcome! :thumbsup2

I just wanted to let you know that when this thread reaches 250 pages we have to close it and make a new sticky. We can add a link from this one into the first post of the new thread.

I sent Melissa a PM to see if she wants to start the new thread but if I don't hear back from her by the time you get to 250 can you do it?

You had to know my post wasn't about posting a page! I managed to make 1 pathetic layout and I can't even figure out how to move it so it's stuck in motherboard land! LOL

Buffy: You can do it! I really would love to see your page, too! I bet it's great.

I just wanted to say bye y'all! I'm packing up for three days with the inlaws and four days with Mickey to help me recover. It's pretty neat that to get back home from visiting the inlaws we have to pass right through Orlando, where we just MUST stop so I can have some recovery time! :cutie: I'm kidding, mostly. My inlaws are pretty great. But you know how it is, any excuse to go to MK, right!? :cloud9: Plus I need more pictures so I can get back in on the challenges around here. My only bummer is missing out on some training for the Princess 1/2, but I figure I'll be getting plenty of time in on my feet even if it's not official practice time, right, Caits?!

See everyone next Friday. Y'all have a great week!

All of the pages here look great and I was just wondering where everyone finds their Disney digital content for their pages? I am new to the digital scrapbook phenomena and would love to hear any suggestions!

I have LOTS of Disney-esque kits and quick albums in my series The Most Wonderful Place on Earth (http://digitalscrapbookpages.com/digitals/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=the+most+wonderful+place+on+earth).
