We are planning a visit to WDW in June and wanted to know if anyone has stayed at the new Springhill Suites, Marriott Village. If so, how does it compare with HIFS? We would save $40.00 per night by staying at Springhill, but I wonder if the "kids eat free" and free Breakfast Buffet features of the HIFS would save us money in the long run? Which rooms are better? Pool area? Etc.
Also which hotel is closer (easier to get to)WDW?
Any suggestions or help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!

If this is the place you're referring to:

I think that HIFS is much more kid-friendly. HIFS has two separate bedrooms, plus the living room. The pool is great for kids (especially younger ones because it's a zero depth entry pool) and they have a game room. If your kids are older, maybe Springhill would be better. However, if your children are under 13, I highly recommend HIFS! http://www.hifamilysuites.com/

The Springhill Suite property is in the new Marriott VillageMarriott Village (http://marriott-village.com)
We will be there in 5 days. I think it will be a great place to stay and it is cheaper than HIFS. I will let the board know what I think of the property.

There is also a SpringHill Suites http://www.orlandospringhill.com on International Drive. You are right, its probably not designed for kids like Holiday Inn Family Suites http://www.hifamilysuites.com but it does offer oversized suites at great rates. Lots of restaurants and shopping are in walking distance too - just next to Pointe Orlando.
Cheers!
