My brother, mom, and I are going to disney on spring break. we're gonna stay there for a week. we're also staying at POFQ and we're all really excited about it. The only thing im a little hesitant about is the crowds! whenever we go the crowds are never bad. we've only gone once where its been sorta bad and that was in the beginnig of summer. Usually my family and I get through the crowds pretty quick and we dont waste time. All im asking is to get a heads up on the crowds for SP and also if you have ever stayed at POFQ and what u know about it! Thanks!:thumbsup2

Sweetie, it is Disney World. Of course there are going to be crowds. Especially at Spring Break...

Don't worry about it though. I think all the crowds are the fun of it.

I stayed at the POFQ last may and I loved it. The resort isn't very big and is not busy at all. I would request to be in building 7, that is the building I stayed in and it was really nice. The boat trip down to downtown disney is really relaxing. Whatever building you stay in, nat the most there is a 5 min walk to the food court. The buses run reguarly, and it is good because POFQ gets picked up before the POR, so you are very likely to get a seat.

I hope this helps.

POFQ is my favorite resort.
The pool area is nice.
The layout is spread out, but not too spacious. It's perfect.
The food court.
oh the food court.
probably my favorite part of the hotel.
The buses are always on time. We rarely waited more than 5 minutes for one.
The themeing of the hotel is amazing.

have fun!
and don't worry about the crowds at all!

Spring break, New Years, and anytime mid summer is heck. Theres going to be crowds. My family knows how to deal with the crowds. One of the main things we do is wake up late, go eat lunch, and then hit the parks. Everyone thinks that getting there at opening helps; it hasn't for us. By the time you get there, people will begin to leave and so its a lot less crowded. EMH helps sometimes too. Don't do Magic Kingdom on Saturday's. You'll be sorry if you did. I'm trying to think of the other days where the parks are crowded. During the week (Around Wednesday and Mondays) its not as bad, I don't think. I'll get back to you. Also, read trip reports on the Trip Report board here. Look for ones around spring break, those help a lot. I've never stayed at POFQ, so I can't help you there, but hopefully this helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask, or pm. (Private message)

By the way, Welcome to the DIS!

Actually that's not always true. I've been plenty of times where there may have been 1,000 people in the parks. P&P, there were 5,000 people in the Magic Kingdom. The capacity is 17,000. The line for Space mountain was 2 minutes (and that was walking through the entire queue. I rode Space twice in a row, and the second time, I was the only one in the load room. Kind of funny seeing it completely empty. Big thunder wait was 5 minutes, and the back was empty. (It never is) No line for anything else. The only thing we had to wait for was pirates. (Pirate and princess party...everyones hitting Pirates) And that wait was around 6 minutes. :confused3 Maybe I just get lucky with the crowds..

well POFQ is my family's favorite resort along with Wilderness Lodge. We stayed at the Riverside section the second to last time we went and that was really nice too.

At POFQ the food court is great, the pool is really cool, and the theme is awesome. Also a cool note is that when we were at Riverside there was this awesome piano player/entertainer person and it was great. So if you like that stuff (which i highly recomend) def see when he is playing because it is a great time with good food = )

oo and if you have any other questions send me a message....o and you have the time think about renting a boat or bike for the day at PO its fun with all of the different paths and "streets". well hope you have a lot of fun = )

Next week I am staying at POFQ for the first time lol, I am glad I stumbled across this thread.

I am a GF girl, so this will be quite the experience, I am excited!

Have fun when you go! I wish I could also deliver some advice, but then again, I am in the same boat! heh.

I stayed at POFQ 5 out of 6 times i've been to disney. I personally love it. The pool is aweosme and the rooms are very nice. Just over all the hotel has a specific "homey" feeling. It's very nice. I think you'll like it <33
