I did about a year ago for the same reason. However, my insurance did not cover the cost of the nutritionist. I had to pay $50 for every 15 minutes, and my appointments were well over 1 hour. :headache: I did find the first visit helpful. I got alot of tips on what I should be eating and what to avoid. Also got the skinny on saturated fats, which I really never paid much attention to before. I did not find it helpful after the third visit, and I simply couldn't afford to keep going back just so she could see how I was eating during the month. I know what I need to do to lose weight and keep the cholesterol in check. A nutritionist isn't going to do that for me, just guide me in the right direction. I lost 11 pounds the first month on my own, and have continued to lose since then. I also added exercise to my life, which I hadn't done before. My cholesterol has greatly improved, and is no longer a concern according to my doctor, as long as I continue to eat right and exercise.
