?HI Maingate East KidSuite?

Has anyone tried these? it's our 2nd time at HIME but, the 1st with a KidSuite. Any comments?

We stayed at this hotel two years ago. I had joined HI reward program and they gave us a kidsuite, paper, and a good room location. The kidsuite was OK, but I think the rooms are too small and dark. We felt really cramped. Now I don't know if my opinion is biased, because we have since then stayed at Fort Wilderness Homes and have also rented a house, but personally this is not an option for us (just to small). I guess it would really depend on the ages and size of your family. Personally, we would spend a little more and rent a house, much more room.

I think the ages of your children are definitely the key. Anything under 6 will probably be just fun and have an absolute ball; from 7-10 they will start to get a bit cramped, IMHO, while over 10s will probably end up fighting :eek:

FYI - kids are DS-13 and DD-3. That's why I wanted a suite of some kind. 2 double beds would NOT work for us at all! DH is 6' tall, besides the age difference with the kids!

Lulu, did you like the hotel, basically? Clean, service, Kid amenities, etc?

SimonV- see above re: kids ages ~ think it can work? We have seen a virtual "tour" of the room and I figured these were original rooms converted to Kid Suites and, that they'd seem small but, the divided space and separate beds is mainly what we were after. DS wants top bunk, DD knows she's on bottom bunk or, twin-bed!
