While waiting in line by myself for the Animal Kingdom bus, I got into a conversation with a dad who was going to the Animal Kingdom with his wife and two small children. We were all going to AK for the first time and were very excited about going on the Kilimanjaro Safaris. By the time we had all gone through the ticket booths, we had gotten separated. So there I was standing with the rest of the AK visitors hanging around Discovery Island, with only a thin piece of rope keeping us from our favorite rides when I noticed the family I had befriended on the OTHER SIDE of the rope with a Cast Member! The dad saw me and waved me over. He told the cast member that I was "part of the family." It turned out that they had been chosen as the "First Family" of the Kilimanjaro Safaris. The five of us got into our own private jeep and had a personal safaris tour. We were right behind the Sunrise Safaris group who had paid money for this same experience. Granted, they had a more knowledgeable guide, but hey, I was willing to miss out on that. In addition, after the ride, the dad was given an all-day fast pass for Kilimanjaro Safaris and all five of us were given Dream Fast Passes.
As a single visitor, there was no way that I would have been chosen as a First Family for any ride, so yeah for befriending other Disney guests!

I was thinking the same thing! That is truly Disney magic, not only on Disney's part, but the family who "adopted" her. Makes me all goosepimply!

Thats like two dreams in one. Someone being so generous to a person they just befriended in line and including them in their special moment and Disney's original dream!
Congratulations, that must have been so much fun.
