I have been looking with my DF all over to try and find authentic disney invitations that don't have Cinderella & Prince Charming, mickey & minnie or Beauty and the beast. We saw invitation on here of a carriage but we haven;t been able to find anything like that. We are looking for a castle or carriage background either underlayed under writing or contoured. Any help you can give on sites or stres would be greatly appreciated.

Ya we looked at that site but she didn't like that the cards we all big characters and they didn;t seem elegant to her. There was one post a week ago that had the cinderella carriage she thought was nice but wondered what one would look like with the castle on it.

yup, Impressions is what you are looking for.
Here's the custom invite page:
http://fairytalewedding.ibuilder.com/default.asp?SID=xAQYWZ97Q8GF7T7RR6N8GD&C=12&S=E3&Document=Custom+Disney+Invitations&DesignNo=1&
Shelley is officially licensed to do custom Disney invites etc. for FTW brides only. They are pricey (you have to pay a 35% Disney licensing fee on all custom items) but you will be able to get exactly what you want... She can use any Disney image you want.
The custom invites were a little too much for us, so we went with carlson craft invites and response cards, with custom Disney reception cards. We wanted those hidden mickey pixie dust ones on that page.
I really enjoyed working with Shelley.

You need to go to Custom Invitations section to get the ones you are referring to. They just have a sampeling of some of their invitations but this is where they have the type you are looking for. They do not have the one with the carrige but they do have one with a castle that looks like what you are referring to. I love the "Hidden Mickey" one - the one with the small Mickey heads around the invitation. I called them a few weeks ago and told them the type of invitations I was interested in and they sent me some samples.

You beat me to it. You must have faster typing fingers then I do. Anyway, great minds think alike. I love the "Hidden Mickey" ones also. I'll have to look into pricing as the time gets closer.

Start saving your money! Well, I don't know how many you would need, but they would have been something like 3x what we ended up paying (of course I would have needed about 85) DH and I loved  those so much, but we had to cut back somewhere. Shelley had sent us samples and OMG they are so nice, elegant, subtly Mickey, etc... :)

We would probably need 50 invitations. Something I still need to think about.
I love these because we are an older couple (mid 40s) and I do not want anything too childish. We want to get married at Disney because this is our favorite place in the world and we want to share out love of it with our friends and family. We are planning an Epcot (Italy) ceremony, a brunch reception in either Ariels or Atlantic Dance Hall and an IllumiNations desert party. The whole Cinderella - Castle - Princess thing does not fit in with our theme so I do not want to get invitations that go that way. The "Hidden Mickey" with the pixie dust is very subtle (although I do love those large Mickey shapped fan/programs).
Actually, the other ones I like are the hand drawn Mickey and Minnie. I like them because they look a little old fashioned and the color on the invitations is red and that is the color we are planning on for our wedding.

It was my invitation you saw! Im glad you liked it. The only place you can get them is impressions by Shelley. They can also do the same invite with a castle in the background. If you would like the prices just PM me and I would be happy to give it to you.

I reread my post and just wanted to let you know that I am not saying anything is bad about all the Mickey, Cinderella, Princess wedding invitations -they just don't follow our theme. I LOVE Mickey and all the Prinesses and am planning on having Mickey and Minnie at our reception.
Hopefully no bad feelings.

Linda - For our custom invites, we used Jen at Sassy Design Co. She did a great job and I was really impressed with them. Very understated and elegant, IMO.
They were printed on ivory metallic with a black velvet backer and ribbon. Here is the actual invite. I will try to scan the whole thing (with the backer and ribbon) and post it soon....;)
Hope this helps...
