Just wondering what constitutes a "snack" on the plan at BW. What time does the bakery open? We're thinking of trying to use that for breakfast some mornings but I know the lines can be really long.

Isn't is just about any single item under $4??? Check over on the Dining Board/DDP.

I believe the bakery opens at 6 or 6:30. I always go around 7ish, the line isn't bad then, but 30 mins later it's long!! I've used both counter and snack credits there. If you get a donut, pastry, that kind of thing, it's a snack. If you get coffee as well, they will ask if you want to use a counter service credit. Not efficient to my way of thinking.

Snack credits can be used for just about any "single non-cookable" (as the CM at the BWV Gen'l Store phrased it) item...e.g., the Stouffers frozen mac 'n cheese dinner (under $4) was NOT a snack item cuz you have to cook it...

As I recall, not all the goodies at the Bakery qualified as snack items, but most did...and those that did/didn't were clearly marked...

We never ran into lines at BWV Bakery, and we were there frequently (those pastries are virtually irresistable...made worse by the vague thought that w/all that walking the calories can't possibly do any harm (wrong!)...but totally WTC (worth the calories)!!!

Okay guys I just looked at the menu as listed on Allearsnet-so the question is can you actually use a snack credit to get a bkft burrito, bagel or egg sandwich since they are under $4.00? I'm not trying to get away w/anything, if that's not allowed that's totally cool, but I'm just trying to figure it all out-:confused3- If not, getting english muffins at the store would be great too.-I just read the above post and I'm assuming that those items I asked about are probably not considered snacks.

We were there last month, and the breakfast egg sandwich with coffee used up a CS. Not great value compared to the breakfast platter you can get at ABC Commissary at MGM or Tusker House at AK for the same credit!

Lots of stuff in the general store were covered by snack credits - a box of mini donuts (either 24 or 36, can't recall); a box of 6 large donuts; large bags of chips, box of pop tarts, milk, etc. We were told anything under $4 was eligible - they didn't make a distinction between what was cooked vs. not cooked.

Having said that, I'm not 100% sure they know what they're doing! I asked if I could use up our CS credits as snack credits on our last morning and the question sent 2 of them into an absolute tizzy trying to figure it out. After 15 minutes of them scurrying around and trying (with no success) to make phone calls to check, we left with 5 unused CS credits.

In this thread (http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=12639473&postcount=1), Joyce maintains a list of the snacks folks have reported getting. It has lists for the BoardWalk eateries. The Breakfast burrito is listed as qualifying.

Note, though, that you may encounter different results. In my experience, the list of things that qualified changed day-to-day.

I agree. Boardwalk bakery & Screen Door are very inconsistent as compared to the other resorts.

thank you-what a great list! I guess I'll have to ck it again this summer since it changes so much and we're not going until then.
