View Full Version : Changing Seat Assignments
Long story short, I bought my airline tickets through Orbitz for USAirways flights in May. I emailed USAirways to ask about seat assignments, they emailed me back with some really seats I really don't want, on the isle. Anyway, my question is am I stuck with those seats or can I request different ones? Should I email them back or call? TIA!

Call them and ask for a seat reassignment.

Definitely call on the phone. We have gotten seat changes on both American and ATA via the phone for tickets that we purchased via Orbitz. I would hope that USAirways would be the same.

Thanks! I called USAirways and they were great. The seats were all changed to 4A & B. From the maps they looked great. Is there extra leg room in the first row of coach? It looke like there was but I didn't know for sure. Thanks for all your help. I don't know what I would do without this board! :D

I flew in 4C on a (US Airways) B737-300 one time, and the leg room was fine. There was a little more room than there is in the rows with seats ahead of you. Though, you could not place carry on luggage under the seat ahead of you (as there is no seat ahead of you). There are little mesh pockets on the wall so you can place stuff there. The trays come out of the seat's armrest (as there is not seat ahead of you). The only thing I did not like about 4C (you won't have the problem with 4A or 4B) is while the plane was climbing the first class curtain was ontop of me (it hung at a slant since the plane was going upward).
