I have two teenagers and they were wondering if they could bring their CD players(portable) and CD's on the plane in their carry ons?? Does anyone know...not sure how strict the airports are getting on electronical equipment in carry ons??

I had the same question so I went to the airlines website and they had a list of things that would and wouldn't be allowed in carry on luggage.

Yes they can still bring them on. The security screeners may want them to turn them on just to verify that they are real but then again, they may not. Portable CD players are on the list of approved personal electronic devices for use on board an aircraft. They can't be used at takeoff and landings but are acceptable to use at any other point in the flight. The flight attendants will make the announcements regarding when to use them and when put them away.

My kids will be happy then...that they can at least listen to the music once we are up in the air...we have a three hour flight so it will give them something to do...this is our first trip to WDW and i hope i don't get lost at the airport...I posted on another part of the boards and they said that you will have to take a monorail to the luggage place at MCO and that the car rental place is on the bottom floor....4 days to go and we will be in WDW....
Thanks for the help!!

Hubby had no problems bringing on his portable CD player on our Thanksgiving weekend flight. Only thing was, it seemed to take a lot longer to get to the cruising altitude whether you can turn them on. This was true for leaving Chicago and for leaving Orlando...not sure if it was coincidence or related to some new security procedure.
