Is there a difference between Vistana Resort and Vistana Villages?

My MIL owns a timeshare which she is willing to let us use, but does not know in which place. Is there a difference between these two? She says it's all one place, but it doesn't look like it to me.

no - 2 very different resorts - they are even in different places.

sheraton vistana resort is close to Disney on 535

Sheraton Vistana Village is on International Drive (536)

if she has had it for a while 5 years or longer - it is probably Sheraton Vistana Resort.

the Village has only been around 5 years (okay might be a little older).

The main resort is very large and has more activities, more pools, more onsite dining options.......the Villages is newer/smaller. The main Vistana is closer to WDW.
