Newbie Here - Spring Break Time of Year?

About Spring Break....

What time of year does this normally happen? March? April? Both months? We are going to WDW next year, and we were planning on going around mid/end April, but we are wondering if this is when Spring Break season is in full-effect, and if it's really terribly busy during those times. The last time we went, was back in mid-May of 2002 and it was busy, but not too terribly bad.

We would go in May again next year, but my sister & BIL are going, and he can't take the heat. So we wanted to go in a less heated time of the year.

Any suggestions of the best time of year to go? Thanks so much!!

Spring break varies by region, and by elementary/HS/college, but heaviest break season comes between the second week of March and the week after Easter.

Late April/early May crowds are not bad at all.

The week after Easter which is the 9th through the 15th is spring break for most areas.

Easter in 2008 is March 23.
