Booking online for AP discount

I have an AP and tried several times to book the AP discount yesterday and had no magic with our travel dates. Last night, I went to the passholder web site and put in our dates and found a discount. If I book the room only AP discount online is there any differences than booking through CRO? esp. cancellation??? I know that if I book by phone I have 5 days to cancel and get my deposit back? Is it the same for online?

I was told if you book online it is a 45 day cancellation policy. You are better off calling the on the phone!

i booked online it said a 4.6 day cancelation policy for room only, I booked yesterday.

I booked online last night-- in the email confirmation it says 6 days before you can cancel without penalty. When I called this morning to add ME to the ressie, the CM said that the cancellation policy was 45 days before on internet reservations. I think that the email is right, but that the policy changed recently.

When I booked my last trip online in January (a month prior to the trip) I only booked 1 night and wanted to add another night. I called the next day and the CM on the phone told me the only way I could add the day on since we were changing resorts was to cancel the 1 day reservation and make a new one without telling me about the 45 day cancellation. They tried to keep my $180 deposit claiming the 45 day cancellation but pointed out to them (after much haggling) that I didn't cancel since I was still staying with them and spending more $ since we were staying another night than originally planned (and then we ended up staying another night on top of that.) So be careful with online reservations. I am making my next reservations on the phone.
