Banking question

We have a September use year. As we don't intend to use this year's points, am I right in thinking that we need to bank by 28th Feb in order to be able to bank 100% of the points? And, if I do that and we later decide we want to go this year after all, I can't use the banked points but I can borrow from next year right?

As far as I know you have got it spot on Joh. Banked points cannot be used in their original use year, but you can borrow.
