I usually do more of an intro page then an info page... here is my last trip's:
http://home.insightbb.com/~baity-scrapbook/WDW2006SeptPage01.jpg
It was done digitally, and I really like the castle background effect I got by layering the backgrounds. :) My son only makes goofy faces by the castle it seems, this one was the least goofy!

Looks fabulous! Aside from the digital one I posted, I have 3 more trip books that were paper scrapped. I don't have anything scanned in to share, though. Sorry! :(

This page is so ingenious!!!!! I already have it saved into my favorites so I can scraplift it for our July trip this year. I just have to figure out how to download all these fonts. (haven't figured that one out yet)
What an easy and creative way to remember what you did from day to day!!!

I like that last idea a lot! It was another girls only trip so I could do 4 parks, 7 days, 3 princesses, 1 world! hmmmmmm
It's funny, I"m a paper/pen scrapper 99% of the time, the only fonts I ever use are my Disney fonts.....& the only albums I ever type journaling are my Disney ones.
I like the intro page too....I have a nice pic of us in front of the castle this time...
It's so hard to keep coming up with a way to start! This will only be the 5th trip I've scrapped...how on earth do folks who have gone 10+ times do it???? (oh I wish I had that problem too)

I had the same problem which is why I just went to an intro page. My previous beginning pages were on paper and they kept saying things like "yep we went to WDW AGAIN"... which was getting old. I tried to add in new things on the last trip's page, which is why I mentioned MNSSHP. Just focus on new things for each trip and you'll be fine. I always try to find a decent photo of all of us as well... it usually ends up with normal pics of us and my son having goofy faces.

That's cute...how'd you get the pictures so small??? did you reduce them on a color coly machine??? That would be a cute idea to use as well.
See I knew you all would have some awesome ideas for me to scraplift!!!

I printed a contact sheet (at home) and used my small square punch to cut out each picture. Then I placed my white cardstock over a piece of grid paper on a light box (actually, my DS's Little Tikes art table light box:lmao: ) and adhered the photos down that way..... no measuring, no pencil marks to erase! ...........................P
ETA: The center box with the journaling I printed on my computer. The title letters I filled in the red portion (if you can even see it) with a red colored pencil. The "Disney" portion of WDW is a piece of clip art. And the Mickey head is a vellum sticker. I know that the title isn't too original, but it was our first trip as a family to WDW... hence the title! I am currently brain storming ideas for the title page of the 2004 album I am just finishing. Any suggestions? FWIW, the second trip was better than the first.... the kids were older and better prepared (the first trip was a surprise that didn't go over very well). I was thinking of something like "THe Anderson's do WDW... the Sequel.. and finally a sequel that is better than the original!" But that seems kind of wordy!...........P

great intro pages!!
I am ::gasp::: thinking about not scrapping our next trip and just doing a trip report and a photo album. I am still not done with our July '05 trip, and it's stressing me out :rotfl: . So, who that knows me, wants to laugh at me for this? :teeth:

I totally feel your pain! I actually was GLAD  (in a sort of sad way) that we didn't go to WDW last month, as we had tentatively planned. As it is I have just finished (almost) our 2004 trip to WDW, I haven't started our 2005 trip to DL, and I haven't even begun to think about our 2006 week in Washington DC! One more trip to scrap would have pushed me over the edge! I do a scrap book for each child for each trip, so I essentially scrap each trip twice. But I was thinking of making just one original scrapbook and making a color copy of it.... until I got the price for a 12 x 12 color copy.... $7 per page!! YIKES.... it would be cheaper to do original pages! ........P

I love this idea! I usually do an itinerary before we go.... so it would be easy to update it with the weather and any changes and then use it for the opening page. And I love your little weather icons! I always include the weather for the day along with temperature highs and lows (very variable, as we usually go in January) on the opening journaling for each day. Thanks for sharing................P

This one is my favorite one: I scraplifted the idea from someone doing an ABC album about Disney. I used the Chef Mickey's picture because it's the only picture that has all of us in it.

Steph...
that's a different intro page...I could almost do a "Why we keep going back" for the first one....
Wow you guys have lots of great ideas!
I like the itinerary one Idid....but I've done a page like that with the whole thing listed 3 times...almost seems too repetitive...
& I could't imagine NOT scrappin WDW, I'd rather skip scrappin Christmas before that! :lmao:

with great difficulty! I usually end up with 2 or 3 albums from one vacation as I'm terrible at choosing 'just a few' photo's. I take loads of photo's (usually approx 900+ for a 2 week break) and use around half of them in my album's!
Wow, nice pages.
Fran, is that font your own handwriting? I've heard that you can have your handwriting scanned to use on your pages. That particular font looks very natural. I loved that you used a photo for your background page, that's one my favorite things to do.

No kidding! You can tell which trips I have taken right after getting a new camera....900 after getting my Canon Rebel (film)...and I thought I'd have fewer by going digital! (could delete the bad ones right)...nope I had 1100 instead the first time and 1400 the second time....I WILL NOTUSE all those ....
I like the little pic/contact sheet page....maybe I could get in a few dozen pics there....and cut down that total.

Nope, it's one of my favorite fonts for journalling, SBC Courtneys Journal. It looks very natural and I use it over and over. If you google the title you can find it online. I downloaded it free, but looking at google hits now it's got a fee, so maybe I downloaded during a special time.

I have purple castle vellum that looks very, very similar to that, but not exactly. I got it at the World of Memories store in DTD in 2005. I also have the 2005 sticker that Queenie used on her page, which also came from that store.
Here is my title page from our 2004 trip (I covered our name) I've not even started the 2006 album, so not sure what it will look like. My title page is not elaborate at all, but I really like it. I have so many pictures in this album it's almost like a mini album for each park within a big album! They are not "album title pages", but I'm posting a few of my park title pages; I carried the same theme for each park and only deviated on my kids' b-day page.

Because the lighting stinks, its hard to read the writing on the Mickey ears. It looks better in person, but it says "January 10-16, 2007" and "Disney's Pop Century Resort." Nothing on this page is orginal. Everything was scanned and printed on photo paper.

Now that's a really cool title page. I guess now a scanner is on my birthday wish list!!! (I need a new printer anyhow, so might as well get one with a scanner) Is this a 12x12 size? If so, how does that print? Do you have a 12x12 printer? I would love to get one....

Nope just printed them off on 8.5 x 11 photo sheets off my HP Printer then layered them ontop of a plain black piece of 12x12 cardstock, cutting the edges that hung over. It was a challenge to get it all to fit and once I had it figured out to glue it all done the same way as I had arranged it.
