:)

Buying out lunches and drinks for the 40 days while at work or play. But this will end when we go to WDW due to the circumstances. I can't bring my own lunch to WDW while the rest of the family is eating on the DDP. Can't live without dolewhips and carrot cake from MK.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I haven't decided yet. I gave up all sweets when I went on my diet Jan 1st. I don't have much else to give up. Maybe I'll try to do extra nice things for people instead.

I gave up ice cream for most of Lent, but our WDW trip is during Lent, so I have given myself permission to cheat "if the Spirit moves me" at WDW. Can I do that?? I'll probably stick to it though.

My big downfall is cookies

I'm giving ALL cookies up for Lent! We are in the middle of selling Girl Scout cookies (I'm a Brownie Leader) and I had order ALOT of cookies. I stuff myself Tuesday night :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway ... maybe I'll drop a few pounds in the next 40 days of not eating those delicious ... yummy .... GS cookies (and regular cookies too)

I'm sure my kids are glad that mom isn't hording the cookies now :rolleyes1

Well, the old joke among southern Catholics is to give up watermelon during Lent.

More seriously, I'm giving up soda (mainly diet coke), eating out, and I'm going to pray one set of the Rosary every work day (on the drive to work).

Giving up sweets here. Hopefully, with cutting sweets and it FINALLY getting warm and thawed out enough outside for walking, I can lose this excess poundage. Goal is not have my thighs rubbing together when I am touring the world :rotfl2:

I decided to give up being a slacker. I have commited to going to the Gym 3 times a week. I thought about fast food or sweets but with my trip to Disney at the end of March I was not going to be able to do that!

I've given up buying my lunch while at work. It's going to be tough because I enjoy eating out at lunchtime. There's already a pool going on that I will not last. :rotfl: More incentive for me to prove them wrong.

Yesterday after school the district held a happy hour at a local bar. I went and made it through unscathed! :cool1: I have given up alcohol and soadaq so I just had a water. Friends came over last night and they brought wine to have with dinner. That was a little harder to deny, but I did it. How many days til Easter?????:scared1:

Ugh! I can't believe I am doing it but I gave up Pepsi for Lent! I figured this way maybe I can follow through. Every other time I try to give it up, I only make it a day or two. This way hopefully I'll be looking good enough for a two piece in October when we go to AKL's pool. LOL!:woohoo:

Not Catholic but a few years ago when my wife told me to kiss "IT" I told her NO I gave that up for Lent.

If you don't know what "IT" is, you're probably sitting on it.

DH and I have decided to give up sweets for Lent. We need our waistlines to dramatically decrease before our Christmas trip to WDW. We are splurging and staying at the Wilderness Lodge. I also want to do the diving adventure and don't want to actually look like a whale in the wet suit they provide me!! We can do it!!!:cheer2:

I decided to do something as far as doing something as opposed to giving something up.

I take an adult tap class and there are lots of cliques in the studio. The cliques stay together and although I have found that several of them are friendly when you can get them apart, I don't think these individuals realize they aren't polite to others. So I decided that for Lent that I would be polite/kind to someone each day.

A couple of days ago, I had to attend a training at a vo-tech center. We were served lunch while we were there. As I was going to the restroom to wash my hands, I saw the person that was setting up the buffet line. As I walked past the server, I said, 'Good morning' to her. I think I caught her off guard. :rotfl:
