First question is this.....I never really paid much attention to the country's in Epcot (I know, shame on me) Can someone tell me if that red phone booth is in the United Kingdom country? I was telling my SIL that when I go to Disney in June that I want to make sure to take more pictures especially in Epcot. I just purchased a bunch of stuff from mousememories and got a title of each country along with some co-ordinating cardstock. But my SIL said that they phone booth was next to "the umbrella" I have NO IDEA what she is talking about. The only "umbrella" that I can think of is the one over in MGM. So anyhow, can you tell me if the phone booth is in the UK?

I just bought a Jolee's embellishment of the red phone booth and would like to incorporate it into my UK page (if that's where the phone booth is) ;) and I know Jolee's has many other "foreign country" embellishments. Can someone give me some examples of what they've seen out there that would co-ordinate with each country.

Canada----
China---
France---
Germany---
Itlay---
Japan---
Mexico----
Morocco----
Norway---
USA---I'm sure she has a flag

The kids also got their pictures taken with Genie in Morocco!!! It's in one of the stores..and when Genie isn't there.. you could get in there and take pictures of your families with the awesome Arabian background moral on the wall!!!

Oh my does that mean 14 of you are going together??? I got/get upset when we have to plan with DH's family and it is 8 of us. Too many interests to balance. DH was HORRIBLE on that trip trying to DO EVERYTHING and we had a 8 month old. We are going again for the two kids 13th b-days. I hipe we all "play" together better. I have never heard adults pout so much about getting their way.

We are not all about togetherness. We will probably go to the same parks maybe hook up for meals and such and ride the bus back together but family time is family time. As much as I love Nancy I still want to be friends with here after we leave WDW, KWIM? :rotfl2:

How many is it, SIOH-2, KAMommy - 4, Nancy - 5, and my 6. so 17 total, I think?!

Exactly, well put!! Buffy and I are totally on the same page with that!! Besides, we can't have too much togetherness because then we will know to much and won't have anything to talk about when we meet up again while she is traveling through IN to a mini-met for her DH's car show!

Poor DISNEY, maybe we should start warning them now!

I think we should do the Family Magic Tour and have matching shirts!! We did this when we went at xmas with Chille and her family. There were 9 of us and we each to a different character from Snow White, the boys were the dwarves, I was the Evil Queen, and Chille was Snow. Bright red shirts too. Ya couldn't miss us! I felt sorry for the girl that was with us on the tour, it was her, her parents, and Aunt and Uncle. They were majorly out numbered with our group. I had to keep telling her to just shove the boys aside and jump in when we were playing games and being silly. We took over the world!!

OMG, nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! I saw this thread, and said, hmm...Epcot scrapping ideas...that sounds interesting...

And something told me...no girl, don't do it. Do NOT open that thread. You already have tons and tons of scrapbooking materials, and tons of photos to work on, and papers and cardstock and stickers, oh my... But then this evil little voice in my ear said (it sounded kind of like Kaa the Snake), well yeeeeeeeesssss...but what about WDW? You don't have anything for that yet... And just think, all those wonderful opportunities at Epcot. Think of how many times you have seen those Jolee stickers and thought, well, I'll probably never make it to those countries, so when could I possibly use those? Even though that little red phone booth is so cute?

And then...just like Princess Aurora couldn't resist touching the spinning wheel...I couldn't resist clicking on that link...:rolleyes1

Now, disneyscrapper.com is a new bookmark! Oh, those papers are too cute...and where else would you find a paper with the title "Morocco" or "Norway"? :thumbsup2 And I absolutely love your ideas for the characters that you might meet in each country. What a great way to continue the Disney theme! Sheesh, I don't even go to WDW until May, and I'm already planning scrapbook pages for pictures I haven't even taken yet :rotfl2:

I just looked at the Jolee's travel stickers page at Scrapbooker's Warehouse, and I found stickers for Norway, UK (London), France (Paris), Italy, Mexico, Germany, China, Canada -- what other countries are missing? I know Morocco...that will be hard to find things for. Probably will have to stick with an Aladdin theme. I also found some Hollywood stickers that will be good for MGM, and some Hawaii and "tourist" stickers that might be good for the 'Ohana CB with Stitch.

To those disers travel "together" well you all are way more lighthearted about this than I. I couldn't handle coordinating the 8 of us meeting up and staying together for however long me did. Deciding where were going to eat with everyone wanting different stuff. Right now DH and I are planning the 13 year old kids trip (my DsD and his brother) and I keep saying "well you know that is not our problem that is your parents problem to solve." I think he is being difficult but why should we go out of our way about EVERYTHING for them. Their grown ups they can figure it out themselves, speak up, or ask for help. Sorry I love my in laws but vacationing together is somethimes interesting. Especially since they are not used to having a 2 year old around and cater strictly to the older kids. Oh well I think this trip I may speak up. ;)

the US and Japan are the ones you are missing. Jolee's does not make anything for Morocco but I'm sure you can improvise.
And the African Outpost which is just over the bridge to the left of the lake. Not really a country but they have some cool stuff to look at.

here is a title from mousememories for Morocco.

I also used some of the colored mesh.

Africa is pretty easy if you can get some pics of animals, bright colors too. they have a jeep parked out front with some drums.

OP, Your sil is right about the umbrella by the red phone booth - The phone booth sits in the edge of a little garden and in the garden is a topiary of Mary Poppins, complete with Umbrella!

I have a little book of index cards started with scrapbooking notes for each country in Showcase. I'll share my notes so far.

Japan: Pool w/koi (fish), the Arch, the Pagoda, Torii Gate, Kimonas, Traditional Headdresses, chopsticks, Bonsai Tree, paper Fans, Orgami, Cherry Blossom branch. And the Japanese Drummers.

U.S.A. Not to sure what they have in here but alot of Red, White & Blue, And for a Character I think maybe Toy Story Stuff.

We'll have a lot more time this visit so I'd love to get more character photo's in WSC - is there a schedule of characters anywhere?

When entering the Park you will get a time table with locations and times. But I have found that they aren't always listed for the different Pavilions. So at times it will just be by chance you see them. Thats my experience anyway.

Great ideas FancyBrat! It's so funny, DH doesn't understand that while I'm taking pics, I'm planning scrapbook layouts in my head at the same time...

I was trying to think of characters for other countries, and can't come up with anything for Japan. Norway -- maybe Ariel? Technically, she's from Denmark, but it's keeping with the Scandinavian theme. Just like Aladdin and crew are "honorary" citizens of Morocco... Italy -- Pinocchio? USA is hard...except for your Toy Story idea, the only true "American" character I can think of is Pocahontas! Other than like...Ichabod Crane or Johnny Appleseed, and it would be next to impossible to find even clip art of those guys. I'd love to find Small World stickers or scrapbook embellishments -- especially the retro designs.

If you are looking for certain characters, or just want to know who will be out with more detail then the times guides that you can pick up, just ask at Guest Relations. You can also ask a character handler, they know a lot of good info too!
