I know it is early and all but we just booked our trip to Disney World in October and really want to meet some of you guys.It would be great. I am going to be there for two weeks from 12th-26th October.
The Meet is planned for the 13th October 2007 9am Meeting at VMK Central in Magic Kingdom WDW.

I am game for a meet on the 13th. Here is our deal..
We will be getting of the Magic that day, and are prolly going to Magic Kingdom straight from the boat for the morning/early afternoon then heading back to the hotel for a swim and nap. We are planning on going to the 7pm Hoop de doo.

Bug Slink Smalld will also be there hanging out with us. So Perhaps a mid morning meet or maybe, since there is time, we could all book Lunch together somewhere at the MK... perhaps CP?? Or just do a quicky photo op.

I know Saturday's sock at MK, but we fly back on Sunday and my boy will (hopefully) hit the 40 inch mark that trip... He must ride Spash and Big Thunder... lol

I talked to my parents about the meet and they have said I can't go. :( They have said no because I am going with most of my family (9 other people in the group) and it's our first trip with my grandma and grandad. I have seen pictures of a few of you dotted around the boards so if I see you i'll be sure to say hi.

I am going to be at WDW from October 11-20, but much of the weekend
will be taken up by either food and wine events and/or meets with my friends
from the RADP newsgroup. (They usually meet every December at
MouseFest, but this year, we're doing an experiment in October.)

Our big meet and greet will be in the International Gateway midday on
that Saturday, but people are doing ride meets at Disney-MGM in the
morning.

That being said, if you plan the VMK meet for let's say, 3pm, I know I
could manage to get over to the Magic Kingdom. That will give me
enough time to say hello, stay a bit, and I'll still have time to ready
for the Party for the Senses that night. :)

I have lots of little kids (8,6,4) and we will have woken up early and booted off the Magic. (cry) So, for us anyway an earlier meet would work best... We hope to be at the park by 9am.

I know this is a long shot... but anyone want to see about making lunch plans at CP that day? We can all meet for lunch or meet at VMK central then go to lunch....

Well, I've already met Laura, so I don't have to travel 1000 miles to arrange
to meet her again. :rotfl2:

That being said, if you're willing to bounce around and meet up at 3pm,
I'll make sure I'm at VMK Central by then. If I hadn't had the RADP group
stuff, I'd definitely have more flexibility.

It's only months and months away, but it's never too early to plan, eh? :)

So it looks like two meets... A morningish meet and an afternoon meet....

Like I said before we will be at MK right around 9ish (depends on when we are able to get off the ship) We are done with MK by 1pm.. and heading back to hotel for dip and a nap before hoop de doo with Bug and family at 7. (now if anyone else was already planning on doing hoop de doo on their trip, this would be a great night to do it ... feel free to pencil that in as well lol)

I would like to eat around noon, so I could see doing a meet around 1130, we only really need to ride the mountains and perhaps pirates oh and buzz... But an 1130 meet with a noon lunch would really work best for me and the family.. we are coming of a long week on the cruise, and keeping it simple works the best... lol

Ok SB... you need to talk to your folks about this... do they have any concerns?

And what about the locals? Any of you want to jump in on this?? Either meet and or hoop de doo?

That sounds like a plan... but I can not garentee we can be there at 9am, as we are disembarking from the Magic, but I have Bug's phone number and they will be there then, so we will be able to hook up at some point.

Also, as much as I hate to say this, i am with my family and we have an agenda that day, and to them DIS meets are LOW on the list... If we meet up at opening, it will have to be quick, because the boy needs to ride Splash, and Big Thunder as this trip will be his first at 40 inches!!! This is HUGE HUGE HUGE to our family, and has to happen rofl

That's why I am pushing a lunch meet. We all have to eat... and that way we have time to really chat.

Hoop De Do is a dinner show they do at Ft. Wilderness. It is a campy slapstick saloon from the way back when, with singing and audience particapate. All you can eat ... here is a link with more info...

I'm going October 20th to 27th, I going to miss the meet, but WDWLIGHTNINGZ, our trip should overlap by a day or so. So far on the 20th I will be in the Magic Kingdom in the afternoon/evening. If you would care to meet up on one of the days that our trip overlaps, please let me know.

Our flight comes in about 11am and I'm hoping to be in the MK in the afternoon say around 3pm or so. So a time around 3pm to 4pm would be best for me. We will have to see what time the day parade is. It might conflict with the meet.

Isn't there a Halloween party at the park on that night? If so, I highly recommend it! I've beenmanytimes, and it give you an excuse to dress up like a disney character, and you won't even be looked at strange there on that night! lol

77 More days and we return home to the "World"! Everything has come together nicely. Tickets are bought for 2 of the Halloween parties, hotel ressie done, plane tickets bought, all dining ressies have been done, looking forward to a great VMK meet! We were very lucky and was able to snag one of the hard to get illuminations cruises that we are doing with Bearz and her family!

Oh yea forgot to to mention we get to see our BEARZ again!! :banana: :banana:

This will be such an awesome trip-get to meet some great VMK friends, visit some "old" VMK friends, visit friends made from past trips, parties, great food, rides and Ink by my side! Life doesn't get better then this!

We can't wait to see you all will be such a great day!

Phew I could probably make it for a few rides on BTM on our last 2 days, Body Wars makes me feel sick, Cranium Command-the name just makes me want to be sick, Spaceship Earth- The Daddy of it's a small world-noooooooooooooooooo... wait there is no hula girls in it so I am fine

i know why spaceship earth will be closed, they are taking down the hand wand and the word epcot. this is so upsetting to me i really love the way epcot looks right now.:sad1:

I thought they were taking the wand down sometime this month/next month?? I wouldn't think it needs to be closed for several months just to take a sign down. I heard they are refurbishing the whole ride.

Yes, they are redoing the entire ride. It closed last week. I think they are doing this for Epcot's big 25th. Also HM is closed right now, and I have no idea when it will be open again. Until we get there. This is going to be a great trip we have so much planned. Yellow you are doing a great job organizing all this for the meet. Can't wait to finally meet you! Can't wait to meet everyone! Should be a blast. Cosmic rays for lunch is fine lots of choices but we can eat anywhere. We are very flexible. You should try to get a game play figured out on what to hit for rides ans what route to take.

i was thinking we should start out in tomorrow land and do the rides we hav planned over there the fastes way there from vmk is thru Z (the noodle station) and then we would be in tomorrow land and then work our way in the park i dont know if this is a good plan but its the fastest way i go to get my fastpasses for Spacemoutain when i go.hope that helped some how.



I am leaving for illinoise on friday the 31st and will not be back til the 17th of september (i have to be without you guys for so long :sad1: i shall miss you all so much) but hope there is no more flooding in the town i am heading to with my grand mother in a hostpitle far ways from her house we wouldnt be able to leave as offten as my dad hopes. I'm going to Party for the Senses that night, starts at 6:30pm. I do line
up to check in around 6pm. I figure I have enough time after the big meet
and greet at 1pm, stay until about 2pm. Then head to the MK for the
Dole Whip meet. Then bus back to my resort so I can clean up for the
event. I hope I don't pass out from all the running around. :rotfl2:

I guess we can meet at the location formally known as VMK Central, Main Street Cinema. I should have about 1.5hrs to take in a few rides. Then it's off to Hoop Dee Doo Reveue that evening. Maybe we could check out Monster's Laugh Floor. My dad and I have not see that yet. :)

It was great to see everybody! Sorry I forgot my camera that day, but I am sure somebody else will post pictures!

We started out in front of the old VMK Central, whcich is now boarded up, with a black curtain hanging over it. We all went on buzz, then had a group photo with Stitch. (Stitch is now officially taken - by the way.) Then it was off to Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion and then Pirates. Some of us got fast passes for Splash Mountain on the way. We had lunch at the Columbia Harbor House. After Splash it was time to meet Briar for Dole whips and root beer floats.

Briar wanted to go on Pirates so we headed that way, but we all got separated. Line was too long for Pirates so we headed off to the TTA. Space Mountain was broke down when we went through it and all the lights were on. It is the first time I have seen the ride with the lights on.

Coriander and I ended the day at Epcot with the Starship concert. They said they wanted to play what people want to hear so I yelled out "White Rabbit", then more people started yelling it, so they played it.

We all had a great time, and I can't wait for next week.

Anyway just wanted you all to know what a great time we had, and how wonderful it was to meet you all. You kids are the best ever, and after meeting your families - I know why, lol.

i had a great time at the meet and hope i see you guys all again BUT our part of the story was:

we rode some rides philhar magic and some others but we rode snow white and it was time for bug ink small and his mom to go to the Hoop De Do Revue with bears after that me blair and our family went off to rides we watched the fireworks and headed off to "vmk central" i got a picture with him and his sister and then we went said our goodbyes and left to our our hotels. today we went to epcot and i traded pins for the first time "YAY" i hope i can post our splash moutain picture it is a laugh i had a great time and thanks for meeting me! :)

Actually Earl from "Trapped on Vacation" must have been at that same performance. He recorded a podcast where they played that song. He commented how they don't play that song often and that it was strange that they played it in Epcot.

Have a wonderful trip! Spongeblair mentioned your meet when we saw him so I think he will be there. He is such a wonderful, kind kid and we enjoyed our day so much with him and his family. He is very quite and we wondered if we all were over whelming for him :rolleyes1 But he is such a sweety! I had a blast meeting so many disers. I literally just got back home after 10 days at WDW. I am sorry that I
didn't call Coriander and Out back to get together. My days blurred into
eachother. I totally blew off Aeryn because of mixups and misunderstandings,
so the ears I have for her might have to be mailed. LOL!

I had a lovely time sweating myself into a puddle the entire trip. I'm sure
