We are headed to WDW the first week in June. :yay: We are looking to upgrade a very old digital camera, a 2 mp Sony. It has served us well, however it's time for an upgrade and WDW is a perfect excuse. We are on a budget and it appears that the Kodak Z710 would be a good buy. Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions for a different camera in the $200.00 price range? Thanks!!

All I can say is that my borther-in-law has a Kodak similar to this one and he likes it...takes nice pics.

I have the Z740 and absouletly love it. I think that the pics are clear and could not be happier with it. I've had it for over 1 year now and it was a little more than you wanted to spend ($299) but feel that it was well worth it. Taking this to POP in 53 days. YEH! on't forget to get the memory card. I have a 1 GB card and currently has 406 pics on it (5 MP pics). My daughter (6) and my sister both have a different Kodak cameras and both take exceptional pics as well.

and I Really like it. Still trying to learn all about it, I bought a 2g sandisk for 40 bucks and it holds 908 pics or 80 minutes of video. pics are crisp, the two things I am unhappy about are the pop up flash comes up when ever the camera is turned on and there is no I.S.
Very Good camera, IMO for the money

and there is no I.S.
That is the biggest problem with the low price super zoom cameras. For that price, none have it, so invest in a decent tripod for the telephoto shots. Without one, the telephoto shots are impossible without good sunlight.

The kodak z612 is basically the same camera, with 6.0 mp resolution, but with image stabilization. It can be had for about $229.00 at amazon.com with free shipping and no sales tax. Should service be needed any kodak dealer will do it. I have used this one, and it takes awesome pics with hardly any learning curve.
