Morning fellow challengers - it was a busy weekend for me and I was so not eating like a challenger BUT I am here to say new week - new day and I am back on my plan!

I did just do a sneak WI - I didn't think I would but then I just thought I needed to see a number so I could get it going again - up 2 pounds - have a lot of work to do between now and official WI day of Wed.

I am off to do some tming and get my day started - I am enjoying the day off today from work - but lots of things to catch up on and a massage today too - can't wait - been washing walls and painting so I have some muscles that can use a nice "massage" touch :-)

Cyber :grouphug: to get us all - keep us all - going the "healthy" direction!!

Hey all!!! I'm down another .6 this week which is amazing considering I went all out for Valentine's Day and then had Macaroni Grille on Saturday night (even though it was after a day of walking the Children's Museum). So...I'm at 7.4 total for the challenge. Better really kick it in gear the next couple of weeks if I'm going to meet my challenge!

Keep it up everyone!!!! Each day is a new one where we can eat great, exercise great and feel great!!!!

Congratulations Nikkibell, Tommygirl, and Denecarter on the great losses!!!! Whoo hoo!!:cool1:

Alreadyexcitedgrammy, I know where you're coming from. A massage sounds wonderful, and hopefully it will get you into the healthy frame of mind. Enjoy.

I've been off the past few days. We were outside most of yesterday sledding, and playing, so I felt I got some exercise, but somehow, found myself snacking all evening, and today ate about 12 hershey kisses from the candy drawer at work. I had a healthy supper, and am drinking loads of water tonight, since I'll be weighing in tomorrow. I'm expecting a gain, but maybe it won't be too much. I need to come around here more often to be inspired. My goal for this week is to journal every single bite that goes in my mouth. Starting right now.

Good luck everyone. Try to remember, nothing tastes as great as being thin and healthy feels. Have a great week.:cheer2:

I am down .5 this week.....I figured I would remain the same, not lose. I take the total 4lb lose. 7 weeks to lose the last 6. I am a little more motivated this week than I have been that last 2 so hopefully I will get back to the groove.

Finally I'm no longer in the green! 2 pounds gone this week, which puts me back at 0/9. At least I've got some time left in the challenge to actually lose some weight... ;)

Hi everyone, my WI is tonight. I think I should be down a little from the time this challenge started. I haven't been to WW in quite a few weeks and I'm sure (as it always is when I'm trying to get back on track) that's why I can't get my act together. I think I've actually lost a pound or two since the last time I went.......so it probably won't be such a bad thing.

good afternoon ladies --- i have been avoiding you all b/c i'm not doing so well. it's like i think i'm doing well and then i realize i'm not. i'm doing GREAT on the workout end, i just need to be stronger when there are temptations around! i have less then 2 months until i step on the Magic and reality is the cute clothes I bought end of the season last year do NOT fit! but i'm forcing myself to practice what i preach and check in. today i'm concentrating on drinking my water which i'm sure i wasn't getting all in.

It is okay Molli! I have been avoiding too...
Last week was so good...lost 3.5...then this week I gained it all back.:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: DH and I went up north for a long weekend (no kids) and had a GREAT time....but I gained and I am so upset:sad2: I need help...I need motivation.....oh well. At least I am here and I told the truth. I am not going to change my ticker, cause I am determined to be right back there next week!!!

I had a shocking weigh in today and was up 2.8 pounds. I knew I hadn't been great, but didn't think I was that bad. But I wasn't writing everything down, so I'm sure many calories have slipped my mind. I'm taking that as a wake up call and starting fresh, writing every thing down, and am definitely going to plan my flex points out for this week. I'm going out to lunch on friday, and I'm going to see if I can check out the menu before I go and plan accordingly. My ww meeting was very inspirational today. There was a woman who was coming on her 1 year anniversary at ww who had gained and lost the same few pounds, but she was still there, and recommitting to the program again. It helps to know I'm not alone in my very slow weight loss, and that others have the same struggles, and same ups and downs. I know if I ever stop going every pound I've lost will be back on, plus. It's definitely a lifestyle I need to live, but why is it so hard some times? I also need to come and check in here more often. Everyone here is so helpful and motivating.

Congrats on the losses AprilN and Believe!!!!:thumbsup2

Good luck Melanie at WI tonight.

Hang in there Ohmom. It's a never ending battle but we can win it. Water is definitely important and helpful. And high five to you for all the exercise you have been getting in. That must make a difference. I have a hard time with evening snacking. I buy the 100 calorie packs, but then eat 3 or 4 of them. Sometimes a cup of tea will satisfy me for a while. I bought fat free hot chocolate I'm going to try tonight. Have you tried hanging one of those cute outfits on the fridge for motivation? Vacation is a great thing to look forward to. Good luck.

Keep up the great work everyone!!:cheer2:

After a bit of a stall last week, I am down 1 more pound. That is 4/10, one more and I get to put the five pound loss clippie in my siggy! I can't belive it has been 6 weeks already. I better get a move on or I'll never get to the target.

Having a good week - down 1.4 for a total of 14.2/20! I know that I will have a few tough weeks (report cards at school, going to Florida, many parties). I need to take it 1 week at a time!

Great to read everyones successes!

Wow, I guess I am not the only one struggling this week! Congrats to all our losers and {{{BIG HUGS}}} to our gainers. I am not sure where I fall this week as I don't WI until Thursday, but I sure have been struggling. It is TOM and my kitchen/downstairs is being renovated and I have not been able to use my kitchen for 3 days (so that is three nights of eating out). I did eat at Applebees one night and stayed within my points, but it sure is hard eating when your fridge is in your family room and your stove is in your dining room!! Hopefully tomorrow or the next day my kitchen will be back in order, but I do worry about WI this week. It seems like every time I get close to goal I somehow end up sabataging it.....I need to find my motivation...wonder where it went?

morning - well official WI day for me and for me to say that I am "the same" this week seems like an accomplishment............ my weekend eating was out of control.

I read the posts and say "I am right there" with those of you who are struggling, AND here it is 6 weeks in and I can only count 2 lost - that perpetual up 2, down 2 has me in it's clutches............too!

Okay - so today for me - ONLY POSITIVE thoughts and water, water, water, I know I have not been that great in that area, too. Also, my water aerobics was cancelled last night (well, no show for a teacher and we could have just gotten in and done our own thing they said, I passed and just went on home) so even was slack on the exercise yesterday too, glad I did a bit yesterday morning.

Well - I am waiting my turn on the tm but I am off to at least get 3 miles in this AM and only thinking positive thoughts today - won't you join me ???

cyber cheer :cheer2: for those who are in the need of a great BIG "WE CAN DO IT" and CONGRATS :yay: to those who are doing it

Hi everyone,
Well my official WW WI was 1 pound loss - YEAH! But It was higher than my own scale said. I'm going to make my official weight loss on a Wednesday like today (like how we did BL) and make my home one the official one for this challenge. The other way I have clothes on and it's not the same.

So if I go by my scale this morning I lost 2.4 pounds!!

Molli - Hang in there! I sent you a motivational PM!

AEG - I should send you the same PM I sent Molli - I've made a commitment that I'm going to get in the zone this week. I've done good so far! I think I feel it. It's too early to say 100%, but I can feel good habits and committment in myself. I told Molli that I have 4 months till my vacation and I see the days dwindling down. If I don't get my butt in gear I'm going to be upset with myself by then. I'm making a committment to Journal! And I will watch what I eat at my DD's birthday dinner out (she want's to go to Caraba's - we just went there for Valentines!! - I will order Salmon and I will be GOOD). You can do this!! Remember what Oprah says. You have to DECIDE to do this. Get out Bob Green's commitment letter and sign a contract with yourself. And yes I'm going to join you. I am going down to the gym today at lunch and doing 40 minutes on the TM.

Tiggerlover - Same goes for you - You can do this. Find that strength and make the commitment to just say enough is enough. We can all do this together. Great job in ordering the Applebee's WW meals. Remember 1 meal at a time!!

Miandrea - Congrats on your loss!! Keep up the great work and yes - 1 week at a time! Stay focused, you can do it!

shellynn24 - Yeah on the loss!!! Keep it up, you can make it to target!!

mikamah - :grouphug: on the gain - Remember all it takes is for you to get right back on target and that loss will dissapear. It's usually just water anyway. Hang in there on the slow weight loss - I suffer with that too!

AprilN - Congrats on the loss!! :thumbsup2

kamgen - :grouphug: on the gain, but remember that you can reverse that this week. Glad you and DH had a great time!! Sometimes you have to enjoy yourself. The important thing is to get back on the wagon and keep moving forward!! I'm glad you came and told the truth!! You can do it!! Keep chugging along!

mornin' ladies :surfweb:

i got up this morning, ready to send my DDs off to school for a FULL day of school (hasn't been many of those lately for us) and youngest DD is home with a major headache...she has JRA and just a blech! day for her. i prompted her a little to motivate but it was not working! :sad2: ok it's only 9 a.m. but my plan was to drop her off at 8 a.m. for her choir, then head straight to FC for my long walk today - 7 miles - and right now i'd be at about mile 4.5! instead i'm trying to figure out when she'll go and when i can go and have something decent on TV to pass the time. i may end up when oldest DD gets home from school at 3 p.m......yuck! oh well, it WILL get done!

Kamy --   we are right to keep chatting here -- i'm facing a day of tempting foods this Saturday when i attend an all-day meals included crop. the hostess is about a size 2 and enjoys feeding everyone else! but let's focus on today! now Kamy -- have you dusted off your WATP dvds? :thumbsup2

mikamah -- i  that idea and today i'm going to get out my outfit and hang it somewhere that i'll see it everyday and often! maybe right smack in the middle of my kitchen for starters!! I have the same thoughts about hot tea and just never make it my routine. I bought some Luna tea cakes at Whole Foods market, they are a great afternoon snack with hot tea. Last night I made diet hot cocoa with light vanilla soymilk (yes i like vanilla soymilk, i don't drink milk well) and it was good. put a dabble of FF coolwhip in it too and i already told mom NO Godiva liquor :rolleyes1 i have stopped buying those 100 cal packs b/c i was eating them everyday and often 2 by the end of the day and it's too many empty carbs i think. i have one box of cheez-it right now; but the cookie ones, the shortbread.....yummy!

shellynn-- one more pound to clippie dance!! :woohoo: :woohoo: mucho PD for a great week OP for you! you are doing fantastic!

Andrea -- you are on a roll too :cheer2: :cheer2: WAY TO GO!!! you are right, focus on the here and now.............i'll remember that too!

debbie -- :tink: for your WI tonight! i so hear you on the kitchen displacement! we remodeled last year and ohhhhh man it was hard! it was for months so i had to figure out ways to cook budget-wise but there was more eating out than the norm for sure! but now i have a beautiful kitchen. i was ovenless for almost 6 months!! my oven died and i refused to replace it b/c we were planning a remodel

MelC -- :yay: :yay: for a loss for you!! and :thanks: for the motivational PM, really it was just what i needed to read and somehow you thought to send me some mojo. thank you! you are right -- this is a goal we can obtain when we make the choices to support our healthy lifestyle!! i just keep thinking of how great it feels to slip on my jeans no squatting or squeezing or hiking them up.............i will be there, i can do this!

fofinia -- 'frustratingly' the same is soooo much better than devestatedly gaining!! :bitelip: next week............good things will happen for next week WI i can feel it! now make those choices to make it happen!!

princessinPA --   here's to better days ahead! :drinking1 and flush that fluff right away!! i'm sure you didn't really GAIN that back, but maybe you are puffy/bloated? i hate that too!

Bob Greene is on Oprah today! set your DVR/Tivo! let's get fired up ladies -- we are half-way to Easter!! EACH AND EVERYDAY COUNTS!! remember to stop and think when you are faced with a slight hunger/grazing urge. that is your body BURNING fat!

Hi ladies:hippie:

First time dropping in this week. I swore my week was gonna be good, but thanx to a very moody AF and being very busy otherwise i have not been here. I'm thrilled to say I have dropped another 2lbs though. WIth luck i will make my goal of 10 for Easter.

My exercising has been off this week. Sat with AF kicking in and closing at TArget I couldn't work up the enthusiasm to work out. This moring I really overslept and decided just to have breakfast. I may work out later today but i overdid the Ash Weds. fasting yesterday with a smaller lunch than i should have with the workload at my store yesterday. So I'll get some food in me and get back to feeling normal and then its back to routine.

:grouphug: for everybody who's stalled. Just keep going and find something that really helps you stay on track. YOu will start losing.

:cheer2: to everybody who's lost this week. Onward and downward we go.

I all, thanks for the support, I can always count on my WISH support team to help lift me up!

Congrats to our losers, I am in awe of some of you, you are doing an awesome job!:cool1:

Molli, 6 months without your kitchen.....oh my:scared: I don't think I could have done that! Four days was enough for me and I stayed up late last night getting everything back in place!

Weighed in as planned tonight and lost the .8 that I gained last week. So that puts me back at 2.6/6 for this challenge and 1.4 away from WW goal, and 3.4 away from my personal goal.

Keep up the commitment everyone!!

4 days and NO eating off plan so far this week! Between the daily buffet of day-old pastries, cakes, and muffins (seriously, tons of it) every day on the counter between my office and the bathroom, and the roasted peanuts in my office (right behind my desk, I can smell them all day as people snack), this is a HUGE achievement for me. I even started to pick up a peanut this afternoon, but told myself "resisting this now will be make it easier to resist tomorrow", and I put it down.

Yay me! :cool1:

And in a few minutes I get to go home for my 9/80 3-day weekend. DH is out of town on a business trip, so eating will be a little more challenging at home, but I've got healthy meals planned, along with shopping and a movie or two. :3dglasses

Hope everyone has a great Friday! :goodvibes

Hi everyone,

So far so good! I'm chugging along! Another day down! The scale is moving each day too, but I know once it gets used to me being on track again it's going to slow down. For now I'm enjoying the movement!

I watched Oprah today, but I need to watch it again. I was rushed and paying attention to the WPASADI game - They were putting 4 more people back in the game. So I'll have to go back and watch it.

Good morning all,

Just checking in and being inspired by everyone here. Congratulations to all who are losing!!! You are doing awesome, and you are motivating others too. Hang in there all of you struggling. I'm right there with you. I've had a good 3 days, but have a few challenges ahead, and am making a plan and hope I'll be able to follow through with it when that waiter asks if I'd like any dessert. I'll have to think " what would my Disfriends do?" and no thank you will just roll off my tongue.

thanks to all here for the inspiration and support. Hope you all have a wonderful, healthy weekend.

I'm finally down 1 lb. I'm still disspointed because I exercised everyday for about and hour and ate 1000-1300 calories :sad1: and kept the fat around 20-25 gms max each day. I'm still trying to hang in there and not go the mexican restaurant for lunch :scratchin .

Kay's mommie!! - The reason your not losing is your not eating ENOUGH! Yes, I know it sounds strange, but 1000 calories is not enough, ESPECIALLY if your exercising about an hour a day. It also depends on your height, but you really should never go below 1250. When you don't eat enough, your body goes into starvation mode and holds on to weight (think cavemen days when they ate lots in the summer and built up weight........then in the winter they would go into starvation mode and their body would hold on to the weight. This was when they didn't have as much access to hunting food because of the weather).

Well Hi everyone. Just finished reading all the posts. I too have been staying away, I haven't been losing, but the good news is, I haven't been gaining. However this week I'm back to losing again. I had a stall for a couple of weeks where I was up down, up down, and now I'm down another pound. For me it is frustrating because I stay on plan, so I expect the scale to keep going down. Oh well, down 1 making my new total 15.4/12.

popping in to say I got 5 miles done tming ............... I am doing okay and I want to register a LOSS this week so I WILL CONTINUE to do OKAY, too!

MelC - thanks for the pep talk

Tiggerlover - you are SO CLOSE - YOU CAN GET THERE SOON !!!!

CONGRATS to all others who are watching the scale go down
and

I ditto Melc's words to Kaysmommie - add healthy items but eating more should make that scale move downward - hang in there

and to all who ARE HANGING IN THERE - just a reminder that YOU ARE WORTH IT :cheer2: :yay:   :grouphug:

I'm on the short side 5'2' so to get to 120 lbs. I'm supposed to cut down to 1000-1200. I was eating 1300-1400 and not losing either. It's so tough for me to lose weight after DS. My body wants to stay fat I guess  . I'm not giving up though and hope by summer to weigh 120. Which is a good weight for me. before kids I always stayed around 105-108 easily. I don't have to be perfect just healthier and fit. Congrats everyone on their loses this week!
