I find myself reading a lot of magazines. My current favorite comes out of the UK and is entitled: Digital Camera -- good information and brilliant art direction. I get the impression that the people who pull this together genuinely love photography. It's a bit pricey (even more so on our side of the pond) but I think well worth it. Good article on lenses this month.
There are others (I can't help myself): Popular Photography, PC Photo, and Shutterbug.
What are your favorites?

Hi Paul,
I agree, Digital Camera from the UK is brilliant (that's what they say in the UK :D). I also read PCPhoto and Shutterbug. I almost never take pictures of people, but the article in the February Shutterbug about wedding photos was excellent. The author's descriptions of why he takes certain shots, the emotions and reasons for posing the wedding couple, etc made me wish he had been my wedding photographer...talk about brilliant!

Put me down as another big fan of Digital Camera. I get it from the news Barnes & Noble pretty much every month. Should just come out and subscribe.....

I just bought the 2 newest edditions of Practical Photography and Digital Camera World, both UK mags. Practical Photography is my favorite. Its not quite as expensive as Digital Camera, but overall I think it has better articles. I usually get Practical Photography every month. Digital Camera I get every few months or so depending on the articles inside.
Our Barnes & Noble has a full line of UK photo mags along with the US ones.

Digital Photo Pro is a decent mag with some very good tutorials, and it is not as expensive as those UK mags.

I find myself buying Amateur Photographer every week. its a great read and includes a good variety of subjects. I like the weekly aspect of it too, quicker for news, reviews, tip, tricks and new releases.

two mags i pickup religously are 'Black & White Photography' (not to be confused with either B&W or Black+White although they are both good for photos) and Capture (local australian magazine). there are occasionally others but none with any regularity.

I'll add a vote for Practical Photography... and being from the UK it's so nice to actually hear you guys saying our magazines are "brilliant" and you wish they didn't cost so much... now you know how we feel about all the stuff that's better and cheaper on your side of the pond! :)

i picked up a copy of digital photo pro in california last month. it is chock full of ads and vendor sponsored 'mini reviews' like most american mags, but it did have two well written articles.
