Does anyone know how many total Grand Villas there will be at AKV?

AKV - 46 Dedicated Studios - 0 Dedicated 1BR villas - 140 Dedicated 2BR villas - 250 Lockoffs - 22 GVs. 134 villas within AKL (opening fall, 2007) , 324 villas in a new building (opening Spring, 2009) for a total of 458 Units / 708 Max. Available Rooms.

Doc was that an error or are there "0" dediciated 1 br's?

The information I have states there will be no dedicated 1BRs at AKV - but I have no way to verify that info at this time other than those numbers do equal the total number of villas reported for the resort once completed (458).

Still trying to understand terms. :confused3 What is a lock-off?

A lock off is a 2BR or larger unit that can be separated by use of a door that "Locks" so you can make 2 units. So instead of the 2BR, for example, you would have a 1BR and a studio.

No, as of yesterday, there were no schematics of the villas available.

Expectations are for models to be available for viewing within the next 60 days at the SSR Preview Center for AKV.

22 GVs?! Isn't that a lot compared to the other resorts? If that's true, it makes me happy - as my family keeps growing, we need more room!
My guide also said that models will be open at SSR in April - he also told me that AKV WILL have a community hall and kid's camp :thumbsup2

Anyone know if the first units in AKL for fall 07 will include any GVs??

After pouring over the diagrams of the existing rooms on the 5th floor of AKL, my best guess is that there will be 6 GV in the first phase opening this Fall. If you assume that these are converted from 7 deluxe rooms (or the equivalent area of suites), 6 GV makes the total rooms in this phase add up to 134.

-- SuzanneThe AKV Component Site POS that I received with my paperwork mentions there will be 6 GVs. Looking at the AKL resort map, six GVs makes sense since I assume they will need to put them at the end of a hallway to get the cluster of rooms needed to do a GV conversion, but that's speculation on my part.

Thanks for the info, now I may need more points! It will be interesting to see what the GVs are like in the new phase - we just stayed in our first GV last week at SSR and it was amazing with the 2 floors. We had 2 families, 10 people, and there was a lot of room.
