I am searching for good rates to MCO in February and have come across Spirit Airlines. They have round trip tickets from LaGuardia, NY for $108.00 a piece. Since I have never heard of them before and never flown out of LaGuardia I am hesitant to buy the tickets, but I knew that all of the great people at the DIS would tell me about the airline if they have heard of them. So tell me, should I get the tickets or keep searching?

Thanks in advance!

I fly Spirit Airlines from Atlantic City, NJ to Orlando 3-4 times a year and have done so for years. They are a great airline. There is another thread on this board with many people posting their wonderful experiences with Spirit. I would definitely recommend giving them a try, I am sure you will be very happy. BTW, that is an unbelievable rate, I would jump on it if I was you. I am flying to Orlando with Spirit at 7:00 AM tomorrow morning and my rate is $144.00 round trip and I thought that was good!!

Spirit is a great airline! I've flown with them 10 times over the last 2 years, and have had very minimul problems. I've only experienced one delay on those 10 trips, due to a mechanical problem with the emergency exit. We were delayed 2 hours while that was being fixed, but everybody got $50 vouchers for a future flight.

Although there have been many complaints about their customer service department, I've never had a problem. On two seperate occasions, I decided to extend my WDW stay after I had already made the airline reservations, and when I called to change, they were more than accomodating. I was also scheduled to fly shortly after the 9/11 tragedy, and, not only did they waive the standard $75 penalty for changing travel dates, they found a lower fare for me for the dates I decided to reschedule, thus leaving me with an $80 credit.

Granted, they are a no-frills airline (i.e. there is no first class, and food/beverage service is limited to pretzels and soda/coffee), but you can't beat the service and value. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them!
