I am bringing some friends who are vegetarian to DL in April, and I was wondering if anyone here is vegetarian and can recommend some favorite places to eat?

I would like to know this, too. I'm a vegetarian and will be taking my kid to disneyland soon! I'm so excited !

Sorry, closest I get to vegetarian is Mickey Rice Krispy Treats:rolleyes1 ...and I know vegans won't eat those because of the marshmallow.

There are great salads at Pizza Port in DL and Pacific Wharf in DCA. The hotel table service restaurants have veggie dishes.
You can also get fried mozzerella in Frontierland in DL and outside of Bug's Land in DCA (where you get the fish and fries).

The Bengal BBQ (right across from Indiana Jones) has a yummy veggie skewer. Here, click on this link and check out the various menus there and see if there's anything that looks good for a vegetarian.:thumbsup2

There is an all cheese Monte Cristo sandwich at Cafe Orleans, they also have a French Onion Soup.

The cheese monte christo was the best sandwich I ever had! The veggie pizza at pizza port was really good too. I know a few places have veggie burgers.

Wasn't it good? I can't believe I almost didn't try it because I had heard a few iffy things about it here. I was sooo nervous when I ordered it, now i can't wait to have it again!

See it didn't taste that strong to me. That's what I was afraid of, the Brie. But it didn't have a bite or anything to it, just great melted cheese. I agree that it's too much work for at home, and I dont' want to die too early so I'll probably just eat it when I go! ;)

I was the first one to suggest this but I haven't even tried it. I am considering trying it on our next trip. I have also heard some iffy things about it, but it sounds like you guys love it so maybe I will give it a try. I LOVE brie cheese but have never had it on a sandwich before. Thanks for the great reviews.

I had never had it on a sandwich either! It is a Creme Brie that's wonderful and creamy, makes it perfect!!

The ziti pasta dish and salads at Pizza port...yum!
I loved the pasta at the Pizza Port. For a non-full service restaurant, it was really tasty.
I'm going back to DL next month, so I'll post reviews of what I try. So far I plan to try the cheese Monte Cristo, and the portobello dish at the Blue Bayou. Everything else is currently up in the air.
Does anyone know what's in the vegetarian gumbo? I've never had gumbo of any kind, and I can be picky about a few vegetable because of texture reasons. Unfortunately, the veggies I hate the most seem to be really common for vegetarians. Eggplant, zuchinni, and peppers. BLEH!
