I will be starting signups for the prima swap on Monday. Sometime when I wake up, no school, so probaby around 9 or so. Question, do you guys want to have a group-or 2 depending on # of people interested that has flowers and brads? 1 brad to 1 flower, whatever colors that work well together. Let me know. This will be my first time hosting, so please bare with me.

I would love a detailed outline of what we should expect to give and receive. 5 Large, 10 Medium, 15 Small doesn't mean much to me. I need measurements. Like from what to what is Large, this to that is Medium, anything under is Small.

And when you say Prima you mean just that brand. Not the flowers that MM makes or the one that you see in Oriental Trading?

Thanks for any help and info you can give me.

I would prefer brads with the flowers. I will be interested in doing this swap too. DS5 has a Drs. appt at 10:30 EST so I have to leave by 9:30 and will be home around 12. I may just send you a PM early if that is ok?!

Yes prima is the brand. Most buy the bottles of Got Flowers. They come in one color or a variety-like seasons. Also daisy ones, leaves and there are tins with hydrangea flowers. I would say just buy a bottle or tin and split it up for the people in the group. 10 people. Some bottles are one size flower, some have 3 sizes. Just try to divide the colors and sizes out evenly among everyone, and make sure everyone gets the same amount. Number of flowers varies with each container. Large size flowers and hydranges is usually about 10 pp, small ones, about 30 pp. They price is usually 6-7 dollars. Cafe prima has quite a selection, as well as many other places. Any other questions, or anyone with other suggestions, feel free to jump in.

Let me find a post on here from a while back.. one of our swappers had pictures that showed the sizes... I think it was Diana Lyn...but I'll find it..

I've searched for while but can't find it.. Sorry..
I agree.. the best way to go is probably by numbers...not size...

Okay, so I have these bottles of Prima flowers. There is four bottles on this really cool black wire rack. I used the pink ones for my Japan Swap on the Topper which is 2x8. Can you tell by looking what size that would be?

I ditto what angelmom said about dividing the bottle up, regardless of size. I participated in 2 prima swaps last year, maybe 6 months apart and we found that prima had radically decreased the number of flowers in the bottle so that whatever we decided on the first time, ie #20 per person, wasn't possible with the same size flowers for the second time around. You would have run out if you followed those guidelines.

I'd like to join but I'd prefer groups without matching brads - just the flowers. I'll be working Monday so I'll send you a PM in the morning before I head out if that's okay.

Okay, than I won't stress about the size of the flower, just the bottle. :lmao:

I happy with flowers only or with brads.

I think I'll be joining in as well. I generally prefer without brads.

Try Bargain Pack for buying Primas. They have a fantastic selection right now and they're prices, both for the flowers and for the shipping, are really good.

I got this pic from the old swap thread. Thanks to Diana Lyn for the great visual! This was a huge help for me!
