I am doing a black and white theme in my living room and I want to do a panarama of Atlanta, but I don't know how to do the stitching or if I need a panarama tripod setup.
Are there any good tutorials/software to use when creating a panorama.
Does anyone have, or know where to locate, an awesome panorama of Atlanta?

This is your best bet for finding atlanta panorama's.

As for merging the pictures into a pano, if you have adobe photoshop I would use its photomerge feature, which is under file>automate>photomerge. It normally does a pretty good job of splicing them together.
Hope that helps

You don't need a panoramic tripod head (they are expensive) but having the plate level is VERY important. A lot of the tripods have little spirit levels on base to level. As you pan, overlap each shot to allow the stiching software a larger amount of pixels to match. It's a good idea to keep the shutter speed and f/stop the same for all shots, so shooting in manual is mandatory.
I've used a freeware AutoStitch (http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html) that does a good job. Not much for interface (watch your output file size) but you can't beat the price.
