unlimited park hopper pass

My wife, daughter and I have annual passes. My daugther is taking 5 friends with us in June. We thought of getting the 5 friends unlimited park hopper passes for 9 days however in reading the description on these boards about the pass it says that all members of your party must buy this pass. What has been members experiences with this. Will they just allow us to purchase only 5 passes.

Yes, you may purchase the UMP's (with the DVC discount) for your 5 guests only. You may also drop first or last (and sometimes both) days from the pass.

We have purchased UMP's for guests twice this year while using our AP's without question at the resort.

all guests who are going to buy the UMP's must buy the passes at the same time .

In other words, they only allow one transaction for the unlimited passes. So, for example, you couldnt buy 3 for some of the kids and then decide later to buy another 2. All five have to be purchased at the same time (why i couldnt tell you...)

That might explain the confusion.

We have always been able to drop two days off of Tanya's pass and replace those with her Disney Store CM day passes while buying the Length of Stay for the full 6 days for me.

I have alway found the front desk to be more than helpful in this transaction.

If you are going for 9 days, an annual pass may be more economical for your guests.
