I saw the stickey at the top of this forum but it was taking me too long to go through them all. I have a bunch of pictures from our (Savannah) balcony that I want to scrap but I'm all out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You could try doing a search in the thread for AKL or try the www.twopeasinabucket.com You can do a search there and probably find some. I did our page with the first being pics of our room and put in letters OUR ROOM... next two page layout ...WITH A VIEW. Then I had the pics of what we saw and DD pointing at the animals. It turned out great. If I can figure out the whole posting pics thing I will try to load it up.

Here are a couple I have done. I love AKL and so far I probably have made about 5 or 6 2 page LO's for it.

This one has my resort map and some great looking postcards they had

This one has the newletter from the resort and a letter from concierge

Great pages! I have that paper that you cut the animals out of - I've always thought it was too pretty to use as background paper and have so much of it covered up. I never thought of cutting the individual shapes out and using them as accents. I will definitely be copying that idea!

I LOVE that paper. You really cant tell how pretty it is in pictures. I cut those animals out of 1 page but I still have another whole page I might just use on the inside of the scrapbook. That way you can see the whole page.

Great layouts!
Where or how did you do the animals on your layouts?

They came off of a sheet of 12x12 paper. I will see if I can post a pic of the whole sheet. The colors are very rich browns and blues and there is glitter on the paper. Its really pretty.

Here is that paper. I tried to take the pics in a sunny area so you could see the rich colors and the glitter but I dont think you can see it all that well.

Thanks!

It says on the back of the paper Carol Wilson and I got it at my LSS and have only seen it at one other store.

Deena - your pages are great. I really got the feel of AKL by the style of the pages and your embellies. Love how you cut out the animals and I'm also curious what is the brand of that paper? It's very cool and would be great for AK pages, too. I also love to tear paper and love the effect it creates. Great job!

I found the paper on ebay. It is in a sellers store: staceypark
I just went to the scrapbook area and did a search for Carol Wilson Zoo. She has the kit and several seperate components. I think her shipping very fair and there are shipping discounts. Thanks so much for all the great ideas!!!

nice LO's tzuhouse.

Glad to see people using multiple photo's per page as the trend here in the UK seems to be one photo per page which would mean I'd need way too many albums for my hundreds of photo's!

I see a lot like that here too. Seems like its one photo then a bunch of paper and/or embellishments. I would much rather see pictures.

Yep, I do all my scrapbooking in digital these days. It really gives me the freedom to resize and place the elements exactly where I want them.
