So the Clear Communication radio stations are giving away trips to Disney World and Disneyland. I live in Cincinnati and the affiliate here associated with Clear Channel Communication is Mix 94.1. The contest runs until February 16th, 2008, and you can register to win on one of the affiliates websites or by being the 50th national caller to 866-525-9467 when you hear the prompt to call. The prompt is always a little after 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. e.s.t I have tried calling the last few days and don't ever get through. Anyone on here trying to win this contest? Or ever get through?

If anyone feels lucky or wants to try to get through you can go to http://www.clearchannel.com/Radio/StationSearch.aspx and search for a clear channel communication channel in your area. Then go to those websites of those stations and see which ones are participating. On the webpage you can register on-line for a drawing they are going to do at the end of the contest. The chances of winning are such a long shot since it's a nationwide contest, but hey, someone is going to win and it might as well be a disser!!!

Good luck! I'm going to keep trying! :rotfl:

How cool!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Did you win it recently? How great!!!! Did you win it by calling in to the 866 number? Do you have any tips for getting through?

What a great prize to win!!! I really want to win even though my husband and I just got back from WDW less than a month ago!

I keep wondering whether they announce the time to call at the same time on every station. What if a station in Oregon says "call in now" and it's 10:01 a.m and a station in Cincinnati says "call in now" and it's 10:04 a.m. I mean if you have to be the 50th caller, the Oregon listeners will be calling in before the prompt is even announced on the Cincinnati station.

I only started thinking this after I mistakenly thought they said to call and the number was busy. I tried for about 2-3 minutes and then hung up. About 5 minutes later I heard the actual prompt and started calling again. So then I thought, why would it be busy 5 minutes prior to the announcement of the prompt unless the stations were not consistent in announcing the time to call. :confused3

My other thought was that maybe since they have the contest at around the same time everyday that some people just start calling in at around the time hoping that they get through by the time the actual prompt is announced?? :confused3

I know that I am putting too much thought into this but it's either focus on my work or plan ways to win a Disney trip!!! :rotfl:

We just won it on Monday! I didn't have to call in. They had a hidden Mickey head somewhere on the website. At 7:05 am they would announce where it was. I forgot all about it until about 4 pm, and then just clicked all over the website, and I finally found it under dedications or some weird place like that. I clicked on it and entered for my DH, and then I went back and entered for myself. They called me at 5 pm to tell me that my DH won!

I don't see in the rules that only NY people can win, so take a look around www.1067litefm.com and see if you can find where it's hidden today. I guess you can always say that you used to live in NY and miss it and listen to the station online, right?

Wow!! I love hearing about people winning fun trips! Congrats!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sending me the link. I checked out the rules and didn't see any about geographical location. The Cincinnati station has a rule that you have to live within 75 miles of the station. But I didn't see that on 106.7's webpage.

Congrats! The last Clear Channel contest I remember was last year and someone won from 97.5 WALK. I believe it was when the prize was a hefty sum of money.

It's just the head and ears and it's all blue. You can't miss it once you find the right page.

Clear Channel runs NATIONAL contests. It's not just station specific. (Iused to work in radio...NOT for Clear Channel! For the competition! ;) )

I wonder if our paths have crossed. I worked in radio too. Clear channel now owns one of the stations I worked for on Long Island. I also worked in Manhattan.

They had this same contest two years ago for the 50th anniversary and I won (50th nationwide caller!). My posts about the trip are on here somewhere from way back then, lol. We got special passes for the opening of Soarin' and their big California themed party. I figured they would put us up in one of the value resorts and was very surprised when we received our itinerary and found out we were staying at the Polynesian!

I worked for CBS (Infinity) Radio Sales! Where did you work? I sold national air time for CBS. I worked on Park and 41st...across the street from Grand Central.

Hmm, I went looking for the official "rules" of the trip we won and if you don't live within 75 miles on NYC, then I don't think you should enter the 106.7 Lite Fm contest because although the rules on Lite FM's website don't say anything about that, the official rules do. http://www.clearcontests.com/cc-common/section_contests/rules/disney2007.html I don't want anyone to win and then be disqualified.

I think that makes sense. I was thinking that yesterday but assumed that if they drew my name and saw a "513" number that they just wouldn't call! So I'm going to stick to trying to be the 50th nationwide caller! Odds or miniscule but nothing ventured nothing gained right??

I worked for Eastman Radio & then CBS Radio Rep as an assistant (at Blackrock)
I sold airtime for WALK- FM & then I sold for CBS-FM before I started my family. I really loved the job & miss it terribly

They've got it hidden good today! I am bored at work and thought I'd take a quick look and couldn't find it anywhere. I think I looked at every main page in a section but didn't click on every link on a page.....sorry I couldn't help! Good luck and let me know if you find it!

FOUND IT AGAIN! And....I'm in NJ, definitely within 75 miles, but doubtful that I'll win. We never win anything in my household, but I figured I could always try!

Our local Clear Channels have where you can enter on their websites, but no mention of hidden Mickey's or haven't heard nothing about the call in's. I listen to the local country station almost all day and haven't heard anything, maybe if I'm lucky I'll get a phone call about the online drawing!;)

Yeah I guess it's up to the individual stations to decide how they want to give away trips. It's interesting though that they each do it differently. With the channel I listen to in Cincinnati it's the website entry and the call-in, both of which are national competitions and probably much lower odds of winning. But in NY they have a hidden Mickey on their website and if you find it you can submit an entry and then if your entry gets drawn then you win. So that station gets to give away a trip every day and it only includes local residents so I would imagine the chances of winning are somewhat higher. Although with such a high population in the NY area it probably makes the odds of winning still pretty low.

But good luck to you!! Let us know if you win!!

Yeah, seems like Clear Channel keeps buying more stations, the more they buy, the chance you have of winning, but Hey, worth a shot!;)
Oh and you can believe if I win, this will be one of the first places I'd tell!!:)

The 16th was the last day to submit an on-line entry for those stations participating in the national drawing. The rules say they will choose a winner within 48 hours of the end of the contest. So....some lucky person will be getting a call saying they won a trip to Disney World soon if they haven't already......

There's nothing better than going to Disney than going for free!!
