One of our cats, Binx [we rescued him about 6 months ago, some of you may remember me posting asking for name suggestions] has come down with some sort of illness. We rushed him to the vet yesterday with extreme salivation and he was extremely lethargic. They kept him overnight, took bloodwork and his temperature. This morning, he woke up with a fever, and they took some x-rays to see if there was something in his stomach or throat that may cause him to act so sick, and there's nothing. His fever is continuing to get worse and they don't know what's wrong. They're keeping him overnight again. I'm extremely upset, and there's nothing I can do. :guilty: :sad2: :sad1: Please, if you could pray for my little Binx, I would really appreciate it. He can use all the good thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust you all can give him.
Also, if anyone has experience with their cats doing this, PLEASE let me know. I just want to know what's wrong with him. :sad1:

I remember you posting about him.
gorgeous cat. he's really grown up over the past few months.
Did you notice an odd smell about him?
His kidneys may be failing. I've been through this twice. if this is what is happening, I am so so so sorry.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it.
Sparx- I didn't notice an odd smell about him. They said they'd continue to run tests. Hopefully it's not too serious and just a common virus, as they said could be a possibility.
Again, thanks you guys. He, [and I] really need all the good thoughts and prayers, so I really thank you all for taking to time to think of us.

I really hope that for both of your sakes, its not kidney failure. But, if it is, have him put down immediately. I know it will be hard (I've done it twice) but its better for binx. They die slowly and painfully if you let them live.
I'm really sorry morgan. :grouphug:

I bought a cat from a shelter about a year ago. About a day after we bought him he started drooling really badly...Just kept drooling...he hadn't done that before? And he just sat there. Didn't move at all just sat there and drooled..
We took him to the vet and they said he had cancer? I don't knw about your cat but I really hopes Binx gets better!
Oh yeah we had to put that cat down...It was better for him though...
