Where is the best motel/hotel for location/value/fun for a quick trip to the area just to go to SW?

If you want basic but good value and 10 minutes walk to Sea World, you could try the Travelodge in Westwood Blvd (used to be the Wynfield Inn)
If you want somewhere with more to it, and in walking distance to Sea World, there is the Sheraton World.
Take a look (http://www.sheratonworld.com)

You can use Priceline and bid in the Universal zone. I actually got the Sheraton World when I bid in that zone. Many people only pay between $25 and $35 per night!
See www.biddingfortravel.com for more info for bidding on Priceline.

I would also look into staying on I-Drive. You can take the I-Ride Trolley to Sea World. It costs 75 per ride and runs between Belz and Sea World. I would stay in the area south of San Lake Road. The north part is cluttered and I-Drive traffic can get pretty bad.
Check out the I-Ride trolley at www.iridetrolley.com.
