Just wanting to know if anyone has ever stayed at the wilderness lodge and camped at WDW? Have you taken your RV? My parents are wanting to take their RV to WDW and stay at the resort and I am trying to find as much information for them as I can. Please let me know if you have any information at all about staying at the resorts inside the park with your RV and possible pictures if you may have any. Thank you in advance for any help at all!!!

I am a little confused. Do they want to stay at Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness Campgrounds? If they want to stay at the Forst Wilderness Campgrounds, then yes RV's are allowed. My sister's in-laws stayed at the campgrounds in their RV last October.

You might check the Walt Disney World website and on the resort section look up Fort Wilderness Campground. This is not Wilderness Lodge but is very close to it via a walking path. There is also a Camping at Disney Board on the site that you should check out. Someone just posted about their trip to FW.

Fort Wilderness is the campground. It is a separate resort from Wilderness Lodge.

And yes, you may bring your own camping gear to FW.

I have seen the two resorts confused and/or mistakenly 'merged' from time to time on the 'boards.

Check the Accommodations section of this website for further info.

Yes, you can bring your RV to Fort Wilderness. My parents camp there every year in their RV.
